Every week 1 car and 2 different tracks will be selected for Arcade Time Trial events. Anyone can participate & there are no club requirements, just submit your time in the thread and I will keep a leaderboard updated for some friendly competition. Honor system in effect but a screenshot and or video replay (best lap ghost replay) may be requested to verify "unusual" results.

Event #1 will always be at the Nurburgring and Event #2 will be at a different track each week.

General Regulations (unless otherwise noted in the event details)
Standard WRS rules will apply 2 wheels always on/over track and no contact with walls or barriers.
No tuning, car will be 100% stock with oil change (brake bias adjustment allowed).
Driving Aids: Skid Recovery Force and Active Steering is prohibited, all others are available at drivers discretion.
Track settings: Grip Reduction on Track Edge set to Real.

Ideally everyone who participates would post times for both cars but its not mandatory. (makes understanding which car performed better much easier)

Its 2 separate time trials, each car will have its own results and winner (2 winners a week). Using the results for each car at the end of the week a comparison will be made to see if one car has a clear performance advantage.

Just like your event, I'm using two cars and have two leaderboards but.
I'm selecting two cars (stock) of similar performance that ideally have had some history of competing in the real world car marketplace on performance. Mustang vs Camaro, Viper vs Vette, WRX vs Evo to see if a clear winner can be identified from their time trial results.

Getting the offline leaderboard started....

I'm curious to see if the aliens will make better use of all the extra hp the ZR1's has and be able to close the gap on the GT? (blatant event promotion if I don't get any interest from any of the aliens by tomorrow. :embarrassed:)

Ford GT 6'52.581

'Vette ZR1 6'54.541

I'll give it at go at some point today or tomorrow.

As far as I can remember the Ford will out maneuver the Vette to the extent the vette doesn't have a chance regardless of the extra HP. PD really dropped the ball when it came to Vette handling in the game. Which really agitates a Chevy guy like me who doesn't even own a single Ford in the game, yet.

That pretty much sums up my experience. I thought the ZR1 suffered from slight under-steer where the GT was closer to having a touch of over-steer making it more maneuverable.

This pleases the FORD guy in me to no end but I have to admit that the ZR1 feel a little more stable and user friendly when pushing it at high speeds around the bumpy Nurburgring. I would assume that the difference in the stock suspension settings between the 2 cars have more to do with that than anything.

How long does the event last for? I should be available for the week 2 event

@Charlie1995 Each event is for 1 week but since I'm just getting this started I'm leaving the 1st event open for another week. You can submit times (as many as you want as long as it faster) for the week 1 and 2 events until next Sunday at 05:00 GMT (online is also available in the club as well).

I ran the week 2 combo in the online lobby, very nice selection. :D:tup: I haven't run clean laps of week one yet, when I do, I'll post the times.
Week 2
WRX 1:42.831
EVO 1:41.954

@SilverSE102 until there is more participation in the online events to justify it I'm only keeping one leaderboard. Running offline may result in faster times for you.

I haven't run clean laps of week one yet, when I do, I'll post the times.

Even though I tested both of these cars prior to the event in hindsight I'm starting to think they were too much car even for SS tires. I'm confident that won't be a problem for people doing the week 2 event.

New Times

Trial Mountain Reverse
Evo GSR 1'39.708

Nubrugring
Cobra R 7'49.844

Week 3 Events will be announced later today.

For week 3's events I was able to complete both tracks but I had to redo the Nurburgring because I was on sports hard tires.

Nurburgring
8:29.461 SilverSE102

Grand Valley East
1:15.888 SilverSE102

OP updated with the GVE time.

I debated but in the end decided the car drove better with the CS tires. For me the SH tires had too much grip for the relative low HP/ PP of the car and was like driving slot car. Curious how the CS & SH tires felt to you?

I was the opposite, for me it was to slippery. I took it easy do to my problem of overdriving the car, I had a ton of restarts on the cs tires. My lap time for the sh tires was 8:11.782, almost a 20 second difference.

Sorry about that, maybe if you had not driven it with SH the CS may not have been such a change?

EDIT. I thought it had equal or better grip on CS than the NSX did but I thought GVE was a little more slippery of the 2 tracks.

No problem, I gave up for a bit to go back to seasonal event and went back to it. By doing that it made it a little easier to drive. At grand valley east it was easier for me to drive than the Nurburgring.

I misunderstood, the 8:29.461 was on CS?!

I was probably overdriving the car at GVE and I have to admit I know the Nurburgring much better than I do that track.

If you are loosing the rear under braking you can try lowering the rear brake bias. I'm currently using 4 / 3, 5 / 2 may work better it that is a problem. The car certainly does not have any understeer.

Yes, the 8:29 was on cs tires. I'll give it another go tonight to see if I can improve, thanks for the tip for the brake balance.

Edit: I got a new time for grand valley east. I think I am at my limit now.

I like this car. :mischievous: I was able to push it very hard at the Nurburgring, I might not be able to beat this lap time with my skills. I got a 7:49.083 for a warm up session to get a feel for the car, I had tc set at 1. @RuddRacer did you see my updated time for grand valley east? Here is my lap times for the Audi.
