Not a good strategy for Jeff Gordon. I mean, it did allow him to restart in the front but with all of the other drivers running fresher tires he is little challenge for the drivers behind him to make a move against him.
He's holding onto 4th atm. If he stays in the Top 10, then it was a good move.

And Edwards sub-par year continues.

Unless it goes long green and they really go away plus he will be out of sequence. That could be good however, but a gamble.

I take back what I said. Jeff made a great move. So long as he can preserve his tires this can be a very effective strategy.

Now that I said this his tires will blow.

Of course, I step out for a smoke and something happens! Good thing it is on the DVR.

I think the point is if his strategy had been sound he would not have found himself a lap down in the first place.

Come on Big Daddy. You can make a move.

EDIT: Another pointless caution.

Kahne is right in the thick of it with 100 miles to go. Go Kahne go! It'll be good to see his year finally come full circle.

Here come the last pit stops. Anyone thinking of a dark horse right now?

Isn't there a rule against leaving your pit box with equipment?
edit
That answers that, a stop & go!

That shouldn't be a penalty. He just wanted to take the fuel man with him in case he needed a top off on track...
