I hope they really do have the traffic figured out for the race Saturday, I still feel bad for the people who went but didn't get to see the race.

There was too much traffic or something?

I believe the only way to the track is I-71. Traffic was so severe that people were asked to turn around and leave to ease congestion. There was also inadequate parking and many people were turned away there as well. There was also toilet and concession problems as well. Officials were not prepared for the amount of people that showed up that day.

When I was at the Loudon IndyCar race last year, we went to the gas station next to the track for food and stuff, it was practically empty in there, but the cashier said if it was a NASCAR race, the line would be out the door.

Kenseth leaving Roush at the end of 2012:

UPDATE: Roush Fenway Racing announced that 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will compete for the team full-time in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition beginning in 2013, while Matt Kenseth and Roush Fenway will part ways at the conclusion of the 2012 season. "Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has more than proved his abilities on the race track," said team co-owner Jack Roush. "We feel that he is not only a key piece of our team's future, but a key piece of the future of the sport. Roush Fenway is an organization with a wonderful past and present, as well as an extremely promising future, and I can't think of a better candidate than Ricky to usher in the next era of success for the team. Of course, I'd like to thank Matt Kenseth for his many years of loyal service," added Roush. "Matt has been an integral part of this organization for well over a decade, and we are extremely appreciative of his accomplishments and contributions to the team, and will always consider him a part of the Roush Fenway family."(Roush Fenway Racing)(6-26-2012)

How can they find sponsorship for Stenhouse, but not for Kenseth!? That's crazy to think that they would just let Kenseth walk.

I'm still asking that question myself. Now the question is where will Kenseth go, or who will snatch him up?

Logano might stay at JGR in their fourth car (Dollar General maybe?), but I'm betting Home Depot sponsors Kenseth's JGR Toyota next season.

I have a feeling that isn't really the case.

Penske maybe? Or MWR? And maybe this is part of Roush's plans to bring the 6 back?

Excellent opportunity for Michael Andretti to snatch up a great driver for a possible new Dodge NASCAR team. Thats where I'm hoping Kenseth goes. But of course the team itself is all speculation

Newman's contract at SHR is up this year too. I think Kenseth would be a good fit there.

With Dodge announcing a new car for next season, maybe Kenseth will end up driving a high profile Dodge?

I don't see Penske starting up a fourth car team next year. Isn't Sam Hornish slated to drive the #12 Ford next year?

I think it's likely that RPM will switch to Dodge next year.

Perhaps Mr Finch might want a new driver due to Kurt Busch's antics?

Kurt managed to keep his car together and not blow up in front of the media after Sears Point. If he realizes that's all he needs to do through the season to keep a job, Finch might keep him around.

That'll depend on whether Kurt keeps his head on straight for the rest of the season.

Boy there's going to be alot of switching around next year. It would be nice if Roush lets kenseth take his #17 with him.

I heard on ESPN that Matt Kenseth and Roush-Fenway will part ways after this season. Wonder who'll pick him up next season. Who'll give him a chance? Or maybe would Kenseth be a driver-owner or something?

Hello. Welcome to the conversation that has been happening all day.

I was shocked by the announcement. Roush can't find a spot for a driver who's been with the team for almost 15 years, is currently leading the points, and has averaged 7.6 in the final point standings since he began a full-time schedule? I can see why it would be important to get Stenhouse into a full-time ride in Cup considering his importance to the future of the organization, but I would think it would be worth it to continue running Kenseth in a partially sponsored car. The way the statements have sounded, it sure doesn't seem like Kenseth chose to leave. At least he'll be able to find a pretty good team somewhere given the number of open seats available this offseason.

It's not the finding a spot that's an issue. It's finding sponsors. Kenseth just isn't marketable like other drivers are.

He can't sing like Bowyer,
He don't love the diet dew like Dale Jr.,
He's not going to be in a Godaddy commercial like Danica,
Those commercials with Martin and Waltrip... Just no.

Kenseth is doomed. Maybe.
