Does anyone else enjoy grinding for cash or maybe just racing The Brickyard 12.5?
5 laps all over in 5:36:117.

Not really, If I were to grind the Nascar events it would be on Motegi, pays more money, takes less time and is a more interesting race.

If I were to grind on Indy I would grab a LMP and hit like the wind, money is close, race is much quicker and very easy.

I would much rather run the RB JR events though, better races, more money

how the f am i supposed to win the nascar events i tried the dayonta today after 5-6 tries i gave up AI keeps bumping into me leading me off track

on daytona/indy i find its easiest to stay back behind the leaders until the last lap then use the draft to sling past on the final turns and they won't have the chance to hit you afterwards

Yeah on Montegi you can make a break and get away clean, no chance at Indy/Daytona where the AI will catch you... and spin you out.

For Daytona, always stay low in the banked turns (or you will end up in the wall), slipstream the back straight and once up behind the leader(s) stay there until the last lap. Then on the second half of the back straight use the slipstream to get a slingshot round the bank (min/low) then place your car in the middle of the track on the run to the flag to try and head off any overtaking moves, as the AI can come off the final bend pretty fast.

I find Indy to be the hardest, as the AI is really in rabbit mode. The field seems to split into two packs (if you're not quick at the start) with a fair bit of space between and it can take almost all race to bridge the gap. Eventually they'll slow down for you and you'll probably get past them on the last lap. Foot down all the way with maybe dab of brake on turns one and three.

Hey Mohammad,
As they say in NASCAR, 'rubbing is racing'. They don't mind playing rough! My strategy for this race is to get to the lead as fast as possible & build on that lead so that contact doesn't become a factor. I use the following setup:

Default suspension settings
Max speed set to 300km/h
Aerodynamics Fr 475 Rr 470

With this setup you should be flat out for the whole lap laying down consistent 53.7 second laps.

Hope this helps & good luck

:D Yeah, no harm on leaning (ahem) on them a bit, or if you forget to use all your brakes... Just channel a bit of Dale Earnhardt to get the job done.

As an aside, my #48s are all still stock. Maybe I should check out some tunes and see if it makes a difference?

Lol at the Dale Earnhardt comment. I've got the 48's in my fleet as well. Respect to a modern day legend. Have you got a fave?

I picked up the 2013 #48 first, and pretty much done all my NASCAR with that. I picked up the other two just to have a complete set! Though as of late NASCAR have thankfully allowed the (Sprint/Nationwide) cars to look a bit more like their street counterparts, which pleases me. Having 40-odd cars with 3 different manufacturers look virtually identical is not very inspiring. So I guess the 2013 is my fave!

I don't grind much if at all, but I found the NASCAR races to be rather fun I am still waiting for PD to get the aero correct with these cars and bump drafting. Daytona is the toughest race because of the width of the track and the high speeds, by the end of that race I won but the entire field was within 1 second from first to last now that is what you call a nail biter. People upset about the AI bumping you off the road, it's most definitely your fault if you check the lines they take and notice they pretty much never brake on Daytona you'll figure out how to keep from being pitted off the course. Took me a few tries to figure out that I was driving all over the place on corners then I figured that staying near the bottom helps keep the AI out of your hair, it's hard to play with a controller and much easier with a wheel also using the nose cam is better as you get a better rear view mirror. PD needs to fix the look left and right from in car on steering wheels it basically snap shots to side to side which is horrible.
I prefer the GT5 Prologue version where it panned slowly but not too slowly and felt natural like how you would actually move your field of view in a speeding car just enough to see who is on your left and right. Hold your line and not trying to block on the straights makes for easy wins, just barrel in the corner at full speed from the right one car width from the wall then slowly move inward as long as no other car is there the AI will not catch up but they'll meet you on the straights because of your draft and they are drafting off one another as well. I can only imagine GT7 with 43 of these cars going around a circuit, there will be a great deal of accidents...lets hope by then PD implements bump drafting correctly and adds a team element that allows for online racers to team up and their communication will only be heard between themselves for real team racing and team strategy. Heck they should add that now. When is that community update coming anyway?

Daytona won at the first attempt for 0.063, in the first position from lap 1 to the end, if you look at my images, the NASCAR one at Daytona it's the picture of the entire race: a train of cars in 2 lines, the first of the external one was my first and only opponent to the victory.
Motegi and Indianapolis done at first attempt also.

I like to grind Motegi NASCAR and alternate it with the Ascari 10laps mini-endurance with the GT-R Black edition 643PP.
My best time at Motegi was 3:04.5 if I don't remember bad.

I feel like the only person who did the NASCAR races on the first try without any AI bumping issues. I got a few love taps but nothing that spun me out. Guess I'm lucky.

maybe you had the SRF & AMS on those help alot , i had to turn them on for dayonta & then kept them for the rest of the nascar events i got no joy out of them , willow spring was a bit fun thou but even there i had to reset once
& its not only nascars AI keeps hitting me all the time , it was just tooooo much for nascar

I had issues at first on Daytona, there seems to be boundary issues with the cars. You see them in the rear view and try to move over for a block or whatever and you get hit and spin out. When you pass they may move over as soon as you go by and make contact as they do so and of course they always end up getting you right behind the rear wheel which is the worst place to have contact.

Once I started paying attention to the blind side indicators I could see when it was and was not safe to move over and won the race without issue. Later I spent some time tuning the car and went back and won the race with ease.

btw If you like to run Indy to earn credits, try the red bull Jr in like the wind, just take the downforce off and bump the top speed up a little, very easy drive and very easy win.

i took your advice in your first post , did Montegi 2 times & got me +300K in 6minutes thank you for that
will Redbull Jr in like the wind be a faster grind?

No, takes a little longer to run the Indy race about 49 seconds per lap and pays a little less but is very very easy to win so if you like Indy and don;t mind a boring easy race it may be a good one to break things up a bit.

Running the actual red Bull Jr Championship is the quickest way to earn credits provided you can drive it well enough to win every time.

Motegi Nascar pays the most per minute of any single race thus far

I`m gonna try this tonight :) Geez I hope it works .... im getting frustrated with this one

Give it a go. I hope it works for you too. The gearing is set so that you can turn fast laps at the front. At the start of the 2nd lap, stay flat (if you get a tow in the slipstream, have a lift at turn in) through turns 1 & 2. This should give you a decent gap for the back straight & the run up to turn 3. Try and always pass in the inside to reduce the chance of being 'helped' into the wall "Days of Thunder" style.

I'm really starting to like these events but Daytona was definitely the hardest. Running Motegi is a very quick way to raise the old funds.

Thing is though you do not need to tune the car at all to win these events, well apart from the 70% power restriction. I'm not the best at Nascar, very heavy with too little brakes, but I can beat them quite easily with a completely stock car. The one I use was the prize car from earlier in the game.

As mentioned above at Daytona the other cars only spin you out if you cross their path, so learn their lines and stay out of their way and you'll be fine.

Yeah I find doing the Nascar event at twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway the easiest and quickest way of making money.

Daytona...god...I still have nightmares.
