So now it's finally released. Been playing almost nonstop since the second it launched on psn. But where in heaven is the Nascar tracks? Daytona, Indianapolis ++?

Speculation or documented fact? Seen the post somewhere about "full content with DLC" but it was from 2012 which makes it very unlikely to be true.

Ovals are boring in any other car than an Indycar or nascar. The sheer amount of concentration needed as you're racing in a pack at nearly 200mph is immense, and this game makes it more so. Also, bear in mind that a lot of these tracks have infield sections as well
I would have to disagree with that. There are several cars that can be interesting to drive on an oval. Often race cars are more boring that street cars on these tracks, especially race cars that have a lot of grip like the Indy cars as they are just to easy to drive flat out. Much more interesting when driving a fast car with less grip that requires some driving to maintain control in the corners.

Unfortunately the list of Ovals they have coming to the game is missing the two that I would most want. Twin Ring Motegi and Pocono Raceway

I don't care for the ovals. But the road courses. Why have Nascar vehicles and no Nascar tracks at launch? The Indy Road Course is epic.

They do have a few Nascar tracks at launch

Watkins Glen
Sonoma
Road America

As for the Indy road course, they don't run Nascar on it, Nascar uses the oval both there and at Daytona. The road courses listed above are ran in Nascar. I think those are the only tracks that Nascar runs which are not ovals so basically we have all Nascar road courses already.

It's not the driving that makes Indycar and NASCARs difficult on the track, but the racing. Any car can be easy to drive, but when you are in a pack of other cars, all aiming for the same piece of tarmac, but still trying to give each other room. I will say that if you find the oval specialist cars too easy to drive on an oval, I'd say you've got too much downforce, and you could easily go faster.

To answer your second point, don't think that the list of tracks we've seen before is a final list.

That is true no matter what kind of car you are driving.

I find Indy cars and LMP cars to easy to drive on most ovals simply because they are easy to drive. Not uncommon to be able to drive them with minimum DF and flat out. I have held the top spot on the Forza boards many times on various ovals in various cars so needless to say I am driving them fast.

Nascars are a bit different some tracks they really take some skill to get around fast. Daytona not so much another flat out no DF track but tracks like Motegi are tricky in them. Supercars are more tricky as are some other high speed production cars which have little to no DF and especially if they do not have racing tires available.

I see your point but I still would like to drive a Nascar around Indy, haha.

I strongly agree.

Daytona would be nice. Indianapolis in this paticular game would make the most sense for them to add. Bristol would be nice too. Oval racing would be a great asset. Twin ring Motegi would be great also.

I think they said we would likely get Indy with the Indy cars at a later point. Also Daytona and Bristol are supposed to be coming. Haven't saw anything on Motegi, would be a nice surprise to get it.

I would be thrilled to get Pocono as that is an interesting oval that I have not saw in any game other than Nascar.

To be honest, I hope boring Nascar tracks are not high on SMS's priority list. There's a shed load of far more entertaining tracks I'd rather see in the game.
To each their own. Personally I would love to see Daytona (plus the road course), Atlanta, and perhaps Richmond.

You spelt NASCRAP wrong.

Joking aside I'm looking forward to the Indy Cars and Indy, wish they'd have gone for more Indy Car friendly ovals (Pocono, Fontana, Fort Worth) but that's just my bias

As I said earlier in the thread, don't think that the track seen in pCARS so far are all of the tracks that are being worked on (really behind the scenes).

Nascar 06 had a short track Pocono.. It was a really cool track...

I hate the Indy road course. I hate Daytona's roval, too. I can't think of any roval that I care for at all, really. Oddly, the one I hate least is Sunset Peninsula, which isn't even real.

Odd since Sunset oval is pretty much the same as Daytona ;) Both are boring in most cars.
