i need to build a car that is max 404Hp and minimum 1150Kg's for a league....

Anyone got any recomendations?

I'd probably look into an NSX-R, M3, RX-7, Hawkeye Impreza or an S2000.

Shelby Series One Supercharged - I run this on a 355bhp/1150kg FR-series at the moment and it is very fast.

Other good choices would be the older M3s (CSL or GTR), the Spirit RX-7, RX-8 or Lotus Evora. Just stay away from 4WD and FF cars as they will just eat your front tyres in the long run--> major understeer.

Amuse 380 Superleggera is a great car. I think it meets your weight specs and can be modded to around 404hp if memory serves. Mine is modded to 535hp or so. Fast and handles great.

Honda HSC concept would be great, or if you are allowed race cars, then a GT300 car (Wedsport Lexus or Cusco Subaru).

All are 1150kg and you'll be able to tune to within a few bhp...

May I ask what it so special about 404hp? That seems rather arbitrary!

But some good candidates would be the Alfa 156 if you tuned it, the Toyota MR2, and any of the plethora of S2000s, Skylines, NSXs, etc.

What do you need it for?

R390. Not quite sure on the weight, HP it will do.

EDIT, it's 1180 kg. It comes with adjustable downforce, and it handles pretty well.

I have my Amuse R1 tuned to similar power and weight. A great driving machine. My current favorite.

But my NSX-R is still faster.

Toyota WEDSSPORT Celica (JGTC) ‘03 with stage 3 turbo. 391hp/1050kg. One of the best cars in the game, even at the stock 306hp and no tuning.

As mentioned, M3 CSL is also excellent, but not sure how close you can get to the numbers.

404 is just the figure that was decided upon for our league this season....

also forgot to mention...... must be FR and the NSX is not allowed

In that case I'd pick between the RX-7 Spirit R and the M3 GTR (road car).

Well, figures. If that's the case try the GT300 RX7. If race cars are banned then either a RX7 or a 135i. The 135i weighs in at like 1262kg, but it's got a flat torque curve from 1300-5000 RPMs. So it launches alot like a AWD car.

NSX-R dominates in this hp/weight bracket with the RX-7 and Evora a not-so-close second.

This has been my experience as well. The NSX-R is slightly quicker around a track then the RX-7 due to it having more torque. The RX-7 might be a little more forgiving to drive though.
I have not spent much time developing my Evora yet but I am already very impressed by it.

1. NSX-R
2. Amuse Superleggera
3. Nissan R390

Both Nissans have adjustable front downforce.. careful they might be banned from your league.. :D

He needs FR Drivetrain Cars. And I think no racecars probably.

297kw I think ?? Hopefully I´m correct :D

Amuse R1/-Street Car from the UCD (S2000´s)=> eventually to light
RX7´s
M3´s
135i/tii concept
350z/370z
TVR Tamora/-T350/-Tuscan?/-Griffith
Mugen-/Spoon-/Honda S2000
Fully tuned MX5 ?? don´t know the max Power
Lexus SC430/Toyota Soarer 430SC eventually to heavy
IS200
CLK/SLK but i think to heavy
Z4/-M

=> selection is big ;)

NSX is already banned.... the super legerra was my car of choice but it weighs in at 1120Kg (too light)
and the renault is MR... needs to be FR,.... and yeah no race cars

tried the shelby gt350...... very hard to get a handle on...... need to work on a setup.... but is definately a handful

had a quick go with the 135i..... seems ok..... just need to spend a little more time with it

thanks for all the input guys

dunno if the league will be tight circuits or high speed tracks
but if tight circuits, have a look at the Cusco Dunlop Subaru Imprezza (Premium in Subaru dealership)
dont remember if it will meet the weight requirements, but in terms of handling, amazing car

Ultimate tormenter!

Was going to say the 87 esprit HC.

But it is 1147kg and tunes to 407 :P

Lovely drive with a perfectly flat power band that keeps on pulling.

If it has to be an FR, get an S15 and tune it. I've been having a great time with mine.
