Umm.. I had manual transmission on an Snes controller. so make that 20 years it's not been a problem, topgear 1 2 and 3000 had it no problem. They weren't exactly sims.

Guess it is time for me to give my two cents on the upcoming Need For Speed reboot, so here goes.

This game could, quite honestly, be one of the best Need For Speed games to release in recent years. Ever since Undercover, for me the series has grown to be stale and stagnant. The series took a massive back step by eliminating customisation from Hot Pursuit, The Run (although it did have selectable body kits) and Most Wanted, and the physics too took a massive turn for the worst. Need For Speed 2015 though, seems to be rectifying all my complaints about the "Craig era" of Need For Speed, but not only doing that, but also bringing back the series back into its glory days.

Yes, the physics in the gameplay we saw looked drifty. But, I like how I can tune each car to my own liking. I can make my car a drift build or a grip monster, or something in the middle of them both. This freedom is something I look for in all racing games, and I'm glad its in here too. The car list already is looking mighty impressive, all the way from import tuners like the 180SX and the Subaru BRZ, to classic supercars like the Porsche 964, and of course Lamborghinis too. There is something in here for everyone, but I personally am going to stick with the import tuners. :P I am also stoked for the return of customisation, I've missed being able to make each car my own, and put my own mark on it. I can finally do this again, and that has me excited!

Definitely one to watch this year, hopefully this isn't another Rivals or Most Wanted. But, on the evidence of what we have seen so far, it won't be. :D

Here's some more info: The post was done in german ans means: Ventura Bay is 2x bigger than the Rivals Playground. Is that alright for you? ;)

I won't actually mind if it's a drifty Rivals, although I know some people will. Maybe it's because I've learned to adapt to what a game has to offer instead of complaining about it, which is probably why I like Rivals so much (my most played game on PS4 ATM)

No, instead you complain about people wanting something, which is just as bad. What's more is that you dont even do what you just said in this sentence. You dont adapt to a game has to offer, as you've been vocal about different games in the past. All that was is a slight dig at people being upset at the fact that something so simple is excluded.

It looks as though you will have the option to have either drifty physics (ala Rivals) or proper driving physics. Hopefully this will appease both sides of the whole physics debate, as I know while most want more realistic physics that isn't drifting around a corner to save the world, some do want that. Having the option is brilliant. :)

I dont even think that is anything to do with different physics, just about how the car reacts individually. What I'm wondering is, is one way going to be slower then the other.

Well in interviews that they have had, they say they are both competitive.

From what I have watched/read it sounds like we can change the physics of the cars by setting them up for "drift" or "grip". I'm assuming this means if we set the car up for grip racing it will lose the drifting physics.

Have they shown anything resembling a 'car list' ?

I know it's an arcade game (and coming from sim-racing, I'm ok with this, because its NFS), and I'm fine playing it with a controller, but if there's no MK.IV Supra, I'll be disappointed.

Just the Supra, nothing else?

Nothing as of yet as far as I know. There are confirmed cars (the ones we've already seen) but not a car list. I'm personally hoping they'll have at least the FD (among the other "iconic cars" they could've picked).

Well there's a bunch of others but they will only put in the most well known ones, also might see the 240z and a few other classics.

Yeah that and the e30 M3 give me hope that there may be a good selection of classic cars. I would love to see the R32 GTR.
I have a feeling so many people are raving about the E30 M3 over anything else about this game.
