Also when i said its a shame that the gt planet covers need for speed , i meant is a shame that this forum which is dedicated to Gran Turismo is more active then the official need for speed forums..meaning I'm ashamed at the need for speed forums outhere not being active yet GT Planet is active in terms of need of speed.:gtpflag:

Need For Speed doesn't have any official forums or a proper community forums that is active now because EA suck and won't bother to make any for NFS plus there forum network always 403 errors anyway or 404s but when you get actually on it you'll see they have no sub forum for any NFS game ever, besides NFS World which is dead and other fan made ones are as you said, dead too hence why I've come here recently to discuss the series as it's the most active forum on NFS anywhere except NeoGaf but that's NeoGaf...

As for more info, I said it a few times in this thread but will say it again, Gamescon is in 3 weeks, the much more "game focused and gameplay" games convention (which IMO is much better than E3 in terms of games, information and other things) so we will hear a lot more about it then, plus, we usually see lots of youtubers doing 1-1 interviews with the devs at the dev boothes so we'll probably get a continuous trickle of information all next month.

I am hoping for map size in measurements, full car list, full customization/parts options lists, story length or gameplay time and a proper video demoing a stock car to a full tuned car with none of that silly drift cam BS.

Just raw, free, unstaged, Q&A style 15-20 min demo session showing off the game and it's mechanics. Not hard EA, not hard.

It shouldn't be that hard for EA and Ghost to show off gameplay. They'll probably show first a new trailer and then the gameplay.

After defeating Craft Man on TXR0, I decided to get rid of my 964's black paint job since he can only race you if you are driving a car that is painted black. Rather than making a replica of the Black Bird from Wangan Midnight, I instead made a replica of the 964 featured in the upcoming new NFS game on TXR0. :sly:

*EDIT* Holy smokes thanks for all of the likes. Glad ya'll love this total badass replica I did of the NFS 15 Porsche 964.

i totally agree and you know what bothers me there's being a bunch of interviews and i swear ..its like the same script and then they have this chick called Leanne and shes a producer and its like you can see the robotic expression like its fabricated she must be tired of repeating herself every time in every interview and every interviewer ask the same questions over and over in the same order.

Anyone frequent nfs unlimited forums?

I used to until it went all crazy and they deleted everything about the new need for speed, they only showing stuff about need for speed world and the site is just a mess, no updates and no interest.

I still remember NFSUnlimited.net very fondly. It was the 'go to' site during the UG and MW days. Though as the quality in games went down, so did the site, sadly.

Well now that NFS World is gone, well there really isn't much to talk about the game.

But what the heck exactly happen that cause the forums to go beserk and delete everything about the new NFS? It's like as if they hired a new administrator for NFSUnlimited that is under the age of 13 and has never used a forum before.

One thing I hope they DON'T include in 2015 is changing engine sounds for upgraded cars. I hated that in Underground 2 the incredibly realistic sound of the R34 GT-R was lost as soon as engine upgrades were put on the car.

It's already been confirmed exhaust mods will change the engine sounds. I hope they do it right as you said, the enhanced engine note should retain the tone of the cylinder configuration and perhaps louder and more distorted with popping sounds when you lift off the throttle.

I hope so. If not I'll be sticking with the stock exhaust on some cars.

It's still realistic. You just fail to realize that a stock RB26 and a modified RB26 don't sound the same.
Well if they do change the engine note then I'll probably be sticking with stock exhausts on some cars.

I get what you are saying but I reckon he means if the engine sounds completely different to the layout and number the cylinders. Imagine fitting a race exhaust system to an SRT Viper and discovering it sounds like a V8 NASCAR (something likely to happen in Gran Turismo). Ruins the authenticity, doesn't it?

This is what I'm on about. Take GT5 (never done it on GT6). If you buy a BMW M5 '08, it sounds like a V10. But if you put a racing exhaust on it, it sounds like a NASCAR. I really hope this doesn't happen. I may stay away from installing exhaust systems in my cars if the sounds are off. But EA usually do get the sounds right so maybe I'm just worrying too much.

If anybody wants to know the Mclaren 650S' customization on No Limits, heres a vid of it.

You should watch his No Limits videos.

After finishing the game and getting all of the cars, there are some that aren't customizable(visually) and those are the Ferrari 458 Italia and Mercedes AMG GT.

I hope that this ''deep customization'' is deep , not a slogan to brings a certain amount of fans back to the series..i don't trust this PR b.s specially when producers speak in every interview i seen whether is with Marcus or another member is always the same script, the customization on NFS no limits is limited even to the point that we cannot even apply vinyls which is my biggest concern and they keeping it hush hush. are we going to get a full custom vinyl system or just pre-made wraps? i being wanting to mess around with vinyls since carbon..i hope they use the speedhunters license and support to the max..

EDIT: I was writing this when Stig posted it before me. Grrr. :P

Speedhunters just put up an article on Need for Speed.

http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/07/creating-the-cars-of-need-for-speed/

Here's are some of the important bits (IMHO) and pictures. Click on the link for the full article.

RELEVANCE-SHOT-800x533.jpg

The first thing to do when deliberating a racing game is to determine a car list. The past few titles have all been heavily influenced by the latest and greatest supercars – the Koenigseggs and the Paganis. However, this new offering asked for something a little different; something that harked back to the days of Underground, Carbon and Most Wanted.

The trick with determining a car list is to try and take subjectivity and personal taste out of the equation. This time we decided to try and cater for several types of Need for Speed gamers: those that enjoyed the days of Underground, the more recent players who have enjoyed Hot Pursuit or Rivals, and even those players that casually pick up a box from a shelf and just want to have a fun driving experience. After several lengthy discussions and meetings we have a car list.

CUSTOMIZATION-TONE-800x533.jpg

This could just be a slideshow with random examples that just shows what the customization could be like. Or, it could be confirming a Liberty Walk 458, Liberty Walk CLK, and some other cool stuff.

So now we know what cars we want, next we have to figure out what we want them to look like. This is a reboot so it’s only natural that we want to bring back customization – but we want to do it justice. We want it so that everyone can relate to the cars. For that, we focused on ensuring that we had the latest and greatest AEM companies and brands signed up to make the experience truly authentic – something you feel that you could do in your own garage, workshop or driveway. Customization is back and in a big way.

The cars shown here are the 2014 Subaru BRZ Premium, 1996 Nissan 180SX Type X, 1971 Nissan GTR Skyline KPGC10, and the 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR. Basically all the cars in the trailer.

DESIGN-WORK-KHYZYL-SHOT-800x533.jpg

So what do you do when you have a brand new, factory-fresh car that needs some customization? Well, we have to design it! Not wanting to ruin the authentic feeling, we make use of more real-world reference to influence our design decisions. We are also lucky in that we have talented concept artists that bring a whole new fresh outlook to the world of car customization.

Miata ND confirmed with its own original body kit?

GARAGE-SHOT-800x533.jpg

Oh yes, and this:

CUSTOMIZATION-SHOT.jpg

Gives a hint as to what we can customise; brake discs, calipers, canards, fenders, lights, rims, tyres, diffusers, exhausts, hoods bonnets, roll cages, roof, side skirts, splitters, trunk boot lids, spoilers

Don't think so, that's by Khyzyl Saleem (whose work you've almost definitely seen on around the internet).

Doesn't confirm it but don't rule it out... if they'd use someone to design original custom parts they'd use him.

And the Facebook page I link confirms he's actually working at Ghost... I should really read stuff
