Also when i said its a shame that the gt planet covers need for speed , i meant is a shame that this forum which is dedicated to Gran Turismo is more active then the official need for speed forums..meaning I'm ashamed at the need for speed forums outhere not being active yet GT Planet is active in terms of need of speed.![]()
It shouldn't be that hard for EA and Ghost to show off gameplay. They'll probably show first a new trailer and then the gameplay.Need For Speed doesn't have any official forums or a proper community forums that is active now because EA suck and won't bother to make any for NFS plus there forum network always 403 errors anyway or 404s but when you get actually on it you'll see they have no sub forum for any NFS game ever, besides NFS World which is dead and other fan made ones are as you said, dead too hence why I've come here recently to discuss the series as it's the most active forum on NFS anywhere except NeoGaf but that's NeoGaf...
As for more info, I said it a few times in this thread but will say it again, Gamescon is in 3 weeks, the much more "game focused and gameplay" games convention (which IMO is much better than E3 in terms of games, information and other things) so we will hear a lot more about it then, plus, we usually see lots of youtubers doing 1-1 interviews with the devs at the dev boothes so we'll probably get a continuous trickle of information all next month.
I am hoping for map size in measurements, full car list, full customization/parts options lists, story length or gameplay time and a proper video demoing a stock car to a full tuned car with none of that silly drift cam BS.
Just raw, free, unstaged, Q&A style 15-20 min demo session showing off the game and it's mechanics. Not hard EA, not hard.

Anyone frequent nfs unlimited forums?
Well now that NFS World is gone, well there really isn't much to talk about the game.I used to until it went all crazy and they deleted everything about the new need for speed, they only showing stuff about need for speed world and the site is just a mess, no updates and no interest.
One thing I hope they DON'T include in 2015 is changing engine sounds for upgraded cars. I hated that in Underground 2 the incredibly realistic sound of the R34 GT-R was lost as soon as engine upgrades were put on the car.
I hope so. If not I'll be sticking with the stock exhaust on some cars. It's already been confirmed exhaust mods will change the engine sounds. I hope they do it right as you said, the enhanced engine note should retain the tone of the cylinder configuration and perhaps louder and more distorted with popping sounds when you lift off the throttle.
It's still realistic. You just fail to realize that a stock RB26 and a modified RB26 don't sound the same. One thing I hope they DON'T include in 2015 is changing engine sounds for upgraded cars. This is what I'm on about. Take GT5 (never done it on GT6). If you buy a BMW M5 '08, it sounds like a V10. But if you put a racing exhaust on it, it sounds like a NASCAR. I really hope this doesn't happen. I may stay away from installing exhaust systems in my cars if the sounds are off. But EA usually do get the sounds right so maybe I'm just worrying too much.I get what you are saying but I reckon he means if the engine sounds completely different to the layout and number the cylinders. Imagine fitting a race exhaust system to an SRT Viper and discovering it sounds like a V8 NASCAR (something likely to happen in Gran Turismo). Ruins the authenticity, doesn't it?
Okay then. Enjoy your stock turbo, stock cammed, stock exhaust RB26.Well if they do change the engine note then I'll probably be sticking with stock exhausts on some cars.
Only stock exhaust and (possibly) engine. This is what I'm on about.Okay then. Enjoy your stock turbo, stock cammed, stock exhaust RB26.
The first thing to do when deliberating a racing game is to determine a car list. The past few titles have all been heavily influenced by the latest and greatest supercars – the Koenigseggs and the Paganis. However, this new offering asked for something a little different; something that harked back to the days of Underground, Carbon and Most Wanted.
The trick with determining a car list is to try and take subjectivity and personal taste out of the equation. This time we decided to try and cater for several types of Need for Speed gamers: those that enjoyed the days of Underground, the more recent players who have enjoyed Hot Pursuit or Rivals, and even those players that casually pick up a box from a shelf and just want to have a fun driving experience. After several lengthy discussions and meetings we have a car list.
So now we know what cars we want, next we have to figure out what we want them to look like. This is a reboot so it’s only natural that we want to bring back customization – but we want to do it justice. We want it so that everyone can relate to the cars. For that, we focused on ensuring that we had the latest and greatest AEM companies and brands signed up to make the experience truly authentic – something you feel that you could do in your own garage, workshop or driveway. Customization is back and in a big way.
So what do you do when you have a brand new, factory-fresh car that needs some customization? Well, we have to design it! Not wanting to ruin the authentic feeling, we make use of more real-world reference to influence our design decisions. We are also lucky in that we have talented concept artists that bring a whole new fresh outlook to the world of car customization.
EDIT: I was writing this when Stig posted it before me. Grrr.![]()
Miata ND confirmed with its own original body kit?
How the hell do you get the fuel filler open?
Good question. That fuel filler area looks terrible! Probably just showcasing the body forming kits but that's just beyond bad.
Yeah I know, but it has a Ghost Games and Need for Speed watermark on it, which could mean something.Don't think so, that's by Khyzyl Saleem (whose work you've almost definitely seen on around the internet).
