Pretty useless information, no car meets info at all, snapshots sounds like GTA's snapmatic which is meh really, they need proper photomode.

Edit: since it will be like rivals, than we probably won't get proper photomode.

I know im really hoping for a photomode at least like Hot Pursuit or Driveclub.the graphics look amazing it would be a waste.

@phantom_pain33 problem is you can't 'pause' the game, so unless these camera icons will be photomode locations and you get a photomode location in your garage, can't see it working any way else, hopefully with speedhunters invovlved they realise how important it is.

Wait, there is no pause?

Even New Hot Pursuit has one.

After the last 5 pages on speedhunters stuff I still can't get past one thing.

All this supposed love and attention going into the cars and body kits and culture and style and designs and car lists...and the game won't even have Manual Transmission. It just ruins it for me. I could never of enjoyed U2/MW/C as much as I did if it just had automatic. Such a shame, and so suprising that speedhunters don't seem at all fussed even when so many of the articles they post on IRL stuff heavily focuses on the importance of shifting, quick shifting and drifting and all that, it's just nuts to me.

It is a bit strange how we'll be able to adjust tyre pressures, but we won't be able to do something as simple as changing gears ourselves.

We'll just see on Gamescom. That's where most of our questions will be answered as we see another gameplay and trailer.

Dude, it's already been answered at E3. Manual will not feature. Tom Cat (TC9700Gaming on YouTube) asked the question and got the answer from an EA guy :(. Here is video where he talks about it:

Just an FYI.

They can still add it into the game

I've tried on Twitter consistently to get them too, and to try and get confirmation directly from them, no luck.

I love the optimism but they won't because the EA rep said something like the decision to go automatic was more in tune to the type of game it is blah blah action blah blah quick responses/physics blah. Which IMO is the biggest load of PR Buffalo Turd I'd heard in a while.

I wish they would be I am 99% certain they won't and I've never been wrong with EA so far which pisses me off lol.

I honestly believe its not included because only a small number of players will even use manual transmission on this game. Is that fair? No, and it should be included, but this omission won't stop me from enjoying the game.

But it will for me as i've batted on about in all of this thread. The simple enjoyment of just wanting to cruise, to rev, to drift, to slam in down a go and go all out to the redline, to play chicken with traffic, to tune the power via the ECU like in NFS:U2 and get the max outta of the power band, to feel more connected to the car, more in control more part of the experience. This is what sucks for me, and what sucks from speedhunters of all guys...who seemingly don't even car when it's such a huge part of what makes car culture car culture; control, passion and connection.

EDIT

Wow, seems like a lot agree with me, thanks guys :). If only these likes turned into 1000's of displeased fans towards EA.

Too be fair, games like Burnout and the NFSMW remake didn't have manual and when you considered how quickly paced the gameplay was, it made sense. That's probably the case in this game.

While it may seem like too much for players to handle, I don't see why that notion should prevent other players from trying it out. That being said I think that's the surface reason they'd say, and that the more likely reason is because it's either too much work, too difficult to make, or they don't have enough time to implement a controllable transmission.

EA guy? Is it Marcus Nilsson? Because I know he's the only guy who can answer those questions. Or if it is not Nilsson, then its probably just an EA employee, CEO Andrew Wilson or the evil Peter Moore.

I'm still not seeing how this is a valid answer.

Any race car in GT or Forza is going to be so much harder to use, and still that is relatively easy. I'm sure full on race cars are going to be at a faster pace then road cars.

Again, have to stress, TomCat is bang on with his facts. It is no where to be seen in the options and the EA reps are pre-scripted with certian answers. There is no manual, he played it, he asked his questions and Black Pantha confirmed no manual either (he also doesn't seem to care...wtf is even air right now, none of the big racer youtubers seem to care, on a game that's all about car culture...wut)

As for the pace thing...I don't think that matters, all the classic NFS's had manual, hell even NFS2:SE and yeah, it should be an option, not a feature, in any game with a focus on cars, you should have manual. Even mediocre to arse end rubbish car games like Ford Racing (lolllllll) has manual transmission...hell, even some of the MICROMACHINES games had L/H/VH speed buttons, which is technically gears so, for it not to feature in a game:

- Involving speedhunters
- Is clearly a simcade blend, not full sim, not full arcade
- Is 100%, so far, very involved with "focusing on car culture and what it means" to be part of the vehicle
- Is not putting in hyper cars or super cars
- Is featuring tuning, performance mods, visual mods, drift races and many others.

Remains, IMO, a silly decision to leave it out.

NFS:MW and Rivals and HP:2010 didn't need it because they floaty, drifty, arcadey games which the cars physics was reliant on to the core, there was no tuning, or modding, and no performance upgrades, felt more like "outrun" that nfs (which also had manual gears option btw lol) and was a much more "go forward and fire weapons and sometimes turn" kinda game.

A game featuring drag racing, drifting, and speedtrapping (common in many NFS games) races and NOT having manual is just...what? How can you drag race and properly drift in a AUTOMATIC? Hilarity ensues.

Meh, I've rambled on about it again when I said I wouldn't, sorry all, but yeah, that's my final two cents on this topic.

Actually, I'm pretty sure NFS is a full arcade, not "simcade". Simcade is a mix of real and arcade (Driveclub). Any way, we don't even know if drag racing is in NFS 2015. If there was they would likely include manual.

When it comes to cars there are many fan favorites spread across the 20 years of NFS history, but one in particular stands out, the BMW M3 E46.

Today we are incredibly pleased to confirm that not only will this car feature in Need for Speed but you will also be able to customise it, completing the look from the original Need for Speed Most Wanted.

But that’s not all! For those of you who pick up the Deluxe Edition you’ll gain early access to the car, ensuring it’s ready and waiting for you the moment you step into your garage. For those of you that do pre-order this edition you will also receive both the Performance Pack and the Styling Pack!

Within the Styling Pack is an exclusive Styling Sticker, Spoiler, RIMS, and Splitter, perfect for ensuring your car really stands out from the crowd.

The Performance Pack contains various items, including; Performance Sticker, and early access to a High Performance Turbocharger, Engine Block, and Exhaust. Perfect if you’re looking to bag yourself a couple of early upgrades.

The Deluxe Edition also grants you access to additional in game items; exclusive wraps, unique identifying sticker and a 10% discount on all items using in-game currency.

So the E46 M3 is your pre-order starter car. Not bad

Not your pre-order DLC/day one DLC jobbie folks.

I want the Deluxe Edition but I'm not sure how I feel about starting the game with a moderately fast car, early access to some powerful upgrades, and discounts. Hopefully, they don't make the beginning of the game too easy.

But regardless, the E46 being in awesome news.
