Ahhh yeah that must be it. We are going with two different subject in mind. Sorry about that.

The way the modification list is put out like that, I'm not sure how you would assume that you are building an engine, rather then selecting multiple layers of parts like most games have. With the little info we have, it just seems more along the lines of any other game where you're just giving a selection of bolt on parts/internals to mess with. To me, it just looks as if it'll be along the lines of any other game, or even their past games. That's why I was asking, though I'm not seeing the need to be so offputting on this last paragraph.

I'm assuming because it is a possibility, I don't know to many games that say modify block since in reality there isn't much to modify on a block other than a new or different block. The parts that go in and above are easily modifiable, but the foundation isn't something you go back and remachine. So that's why I've assumed this may be the case. Also why I say "but we really don't know" or "detail of which is yet to be seen", since we simply don't know.

Also what part is trying to be offputting, once again it's just a post no ill intent or tone by the creator but at times given by the reader. Just trying to answer your question the best way possible but have run out of ways to do so.

I played Need for Speed Underground 2, Most Wanted, Carbon, Hot Pursuit, and World. I only get what's practical and useful for my car.

I guess the Build path won't be for you, then.

Or maybe it must be Road Atlanta. That's my most hated track in Forza. XD

Even there you need speed, only building what your car needs in a game where there will probably be players with highly tuned and well balanced cars just seems like a way to lose. Especially in the pvp settings where usually what you need is alot more than you need in the non pvp portions of racing games.

Guess what...

The R34 is my least favourite of the series. It's a nice addition, though. I'm beyond sold on this game, if I see an FC3S or an NA1 NSX I may commit a cardinal sin and pre-order. This game is looking so, so promising.

I might have giggled like a little schoolgirl at this latest set of screenshots.

R35 and R32 have been modeled in the past, so they could bring it up again, most likely they would for the game's theme. R33 on the other hand..

Now all we need is an R32, R33 and R35.

Ghost pls

Other Japanese legends still missing are the NSX, WRX...hmm what else? Highly unlikely but awesome would be the Japanese drifting legends like the Nissan Cefiro, Laurel etc

Few more things from the FAQ

1. Every car is unlocked from the beginning of the game*. You just need to purchase it.
2. Game is running off Frostbite
3. You can play the game without PS+ or XBL but you will to play with other players.
4. Plans for free updates, no plans for paid DLC (or so they say)
5. No microtransactions
6. You can't be the police

*I believe you need to play through the career to get the M3 E46 as they say you need to "unlock" it. Or maybe that's just the GTR bodykit/wrap. Hopefully they explain this at some point.

I like that all cars are unlocked from the start (except the M3 E46, but that's understandable). Also the online requirements aren't so bad now. As long as I can play solo it's okay.

No free DLC/MT - I'm not fully convinced that they will stay true to their word, but we'll see 👍

The big problem is this:

Q) How many cars can we own at any one time?
A) We believe in creating a bond and relationship with your cars. It's about finding a ride and taking it from stock, to stock plus awesome through some of the deepest customization in Need for Speed history. You will have a five car garage - if you fill all your spaces, you can chose to sell and purchase a new car, or continue to max out your current ride through the extensive performance upgrades available to you so you can take on anyone on the streets.

That's just bull:censored:. In a game about cars and tuning and you want to limit how many cars we can tune??? :boggled::banghead: Hopefully this applies to career mode only and you have a separate arcade mode where you can tune as much cars as you want. Otherwise all that customization options are useless.

If someone has twitter I would really appreciate if they can ask this issue 👍

Handling Customisation

The level of detail is insane and they haven't even touched performance customisation yet.

It looks like a lot, but most are basically just modifying the main slider Grip <---> Drift. It doesn't even hold a candle to Underground 2 tuning. Drift Stability Assist would be interesting to turn off and see how much "simulation" there is in the raw physics engine, but I suspect if you want to be competitive online you will have to turn it on.

Also, there's a mistake here:

Brake Bias
Adjusting the brake bias increases weight transference when braking. When this is moved towards the front it can destabilise the car more easily transitioning into a drift.

Shouldn't front bias create understeer? *facepalm*

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but spoilers will effect downforce.

Again, nothing new. In Underground 2 different spoilers give you different amounts of downforce and you can change the front and rear DF separately. In ProStreet with autosculpt I remember you can even see how changes affects your top speed and lateral G in the wind tunnel.

Inb4 Rockstar Lawsuit...

EDIT: Performance parts!

Again, it seems like a lot, but most of those parts could be lumped under Engine tuning. I really don't think it's necessary to split them up seeing this is an arcade game and people will just slap the highest performance part available once it's unlocked. Having that many parts will just make it annoying when you are tuning a lot of cars.

It's also missing things like Weight Reduction and Transmission (old muscle cars are going to be useless without longer gears).

Overall, I'm certainly amazed by how this game is turning out, but I think they are trying to reinvent the wheel too much here. Streamline the parts upgrade, and make the tuning as detailed as UG2. With a good physics engine, you can pretty much decide how grippy/drifty your car is from suspension tuning. No need artificial stuff like "brake drift assist". For casual players, you could just have a preset setup "Drift", "Grip" and "Balanced".

Looking forward to the Paint & Wrap reveal soon 👍

I thought there were images of the NSX. Also for that unlikely but awesome drift list, I'd put the Chaser and Stagea

I think R32 and R35 is almost guaranteed to be in the game, just like the R34. Even No Limits featured the R32. R33 on the other hand, if they managed to put that car in the game.....

If there's a highway stretch like the ones in Undercover or Rivals, i'm thinking of assembling a crew similar to MidNight Club.

You're forgetting this...

Kinda fell in love with S14's for some reason a while back.
RWB does have a S14 so maybe they'll feature it.
