My hopes for the PC version of this game are getting worse and worse, still no answer about the fps lock and now no beta announced with the console versions. Not looking good.

I have a feeling this is damage control for the 30fps lock, and it being almost a carbon copy of rivals, right down to the wet cars.

I agree, but wow what a disgrace if they have locked it to 30 again. I'm buying a 144hz monitor this week, can you imagine running a 30fps game on it

Or the ps4 for that matter, even the "next gen" can't handle 60fps

You might want to take a look at Forza 6. It most definitely can run at 60fps. Honestly the 'PC master race 60fps' thing is getting very tiring very quickly. I play plenty of games on my PC at below 60 fps and you know what? They're still fun to play. If people stopped acting so entitled they'd get to enjoy more games.

I hardly notice the difference between 30 and 60 on my PC. 60FPS isn't that big a deal IMO. A stable frame rate is more important than a bigger framerate*

*Provided that that framerate is at least 30.

The main problem is locking it to 30FPS, when plenty of people have PC's perfectly capable of running games at 60FPS and over.
I agree that a stable frame rate is important but for me, 30FPS feels too slow.

Frame locking is annoying. What should happen, is the option to lock it to 30 with it being either locked to 60 or completely unlocked normally.

lol i'm not getting into a pc vs console debate, if you are happy with below 60fps that's fine good for you but some of us aren't. As for Forza 6 yes that is one of a very select bunch of next gen games that can manage 60fps, it's probably not rock solid but hey it's better than the 95% of other next gen games that run at 30.

As I said i'm getting a 144hz monitor soon, 144. One hundred and fourty four. Because PC games run at over 100 fps, meaning a PC game locked to 30fps is absurd.

The silence over the frame rate on PC isn't exactly filling me with confidence about the PC version of the game.

Yeah a month and a half away from release and still no word is not a good sign. They are probably trying to come up with a one liner excuse like they did with rivals. "Rivals is capped to 30fps to give a smooth experience with the new all drive system".

Did they actually say that? Wow...

PC release moving to Spring 2016

Need For Speed official site
Part of the conversation includes hearing from our PC community that an unlocked frame rate in Need for Speed is a massive priority for you, and we fully agree. To deliver this, we’ve made the decision to move the PC release date to Spring 2016. Our PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release dates will remain the same, starting November 3, 2015 in North America and November 5 worldwide.

.5/10 - .gif got my reply :p

At this point I probably won't get it anymore, wrong Supra and leaving PC's as an afterthought, not good signs on the development-front.

Hm. I somehow expected it to happen, and I don't know why.
But anyway, if Ghost Games says they delayed it for framerate issues/improvements and better visuals, the delay is for good measure then. *looks over to a certain Sony exclusive but doesn't wanna go off topic *

I have a feeling this is what happened:

"So, how's the game going?"
"Doing good boss."
"XB1, PS4, PC, all great?"
"PC?" *looks around* "Oh yeah we were supposed to make a PC version? Weren't they whining about the FPS cap in Rivals?
"Yeah."
"OK, we're gonna need way more time on this."
"Good work."

Quoting the great Shigeru Miyamoto:
A delayed game is eventually good, a rushed game is forever bad.
