You're saying this under the assumption that for any car we buy and upgrades spent on it, we will get all of that money back if we were to sell it.
Where do I say or imply this? Cause no I don't and hate to be harsh, but I really don't care. So you don't make your profit back and you have to start from scratch, may be cheap but sounds like a way to create longevity of a game rather than collect all 70 (random number) and get bored of playing.
And as far as I know, it has not been confirmed that selling cars works this way. But if I missed that, please correct me. Otherwise, if you sell one of your cars to buy another and it didn't meet your satisfaction, then you just wasted money on the car itself, any upgrades you spent on it, and you let go of a better car to make space for it. This could potentially be a problem depending on how the game's economy is set up. And who wants to waste time rebuilding the same car again and try to get it back to the way it was before?
Really milking that selling angle even though I never said or implied such, glad you put words in peoples mouths. No need to correct you cause I didn't hint at that. And yet again if losing out on such a trivial thing is that big to you, then oh well. If I spend 100k and only get 30 back, and have to spend another 70k to get a car like the one I sold, that's fine. Also those of you bringing up how much you're use to having an unlimited garage, you should equally be use to grinding for such, so at least NFS has that going for it

. Not all half glass empty for you big garage fans.
Also, it wasn't my intention to come across as a smart aleck or anything like that. I just thought it would be pretty obvious what situation a person will be in if they bought and upgraded a car that they wind up not liking.
Can't say that my post doesn't have some satire to it this time around. As for the quoted line you misquoted, please just ask instead of inventing. And as for your demeanor, thanks for telling me and to be honest didn't think you were a smart ass/aleck, so no worries. As most of my post, I'm not just addressing the poster (you Master Weasel), I'm addressing all those as well that share your view point. Thanks again.
It's out there to want a higher cap limit on the cars? 5 is incredibly low, and I'll always set up my cars for different levels, so it would great to have a higher cap. I even go so far to purchase the same car for said multiple levels, as I like them to have different parts and paint. This is one of the reasons I find the cap to be just to limiting.
Considering it's a NFS game which are usually known to not be expansive in that area...yes. Unless you plan to rally, do V8 supers, NASCAR, touring cars, prototypes, F1, street race, time attack, drag race, hill climb and so on...most of which you can't do I see no reason why five can't suffice. Other than wanting to have every car under the sun to just have em. I mean if your a pro builder and want this game and are known for builds like in GT I can see the loss, but for anyone else I stick to my original view.
May not drive certain cars more then others, but that doesn't mean that the cars I'd likely drive would be under 5. In Forza alone I have 30 cars in one of the lower classes, and they all get used accordingly. With such a smaller car list I'm obviously not going to approach it in the same sense, but it would be nice if it wasn't there to begin with. It will get very, very, very, very boring to only be isolated to have those 5 cars. I dont want to have to sell a car each and every time I feel like I want something different.
For this game it will have to be. I think it will be quite fun and achieve the relationship/bond they're trying to get from the players.
It's the fact of the limited selection when going into a race, 5 is hardly anything to choose from, and if they are at different levels or set up for different track scenarios you'll have even less. Even with saved tunes for different things it wouldn't alleviate the situation. Id still much prefer to have a different cars available from a wide range.
The only difference between the five stages is drifting and everything else from the looks is the same just with different goals, set up variation shouldn't be any different. The options are simple, what a four cylinder rwd, 6 cyl, 8cyl, 10cyl? Or is Awd your pref? Easy 5 to me.
Variety is a perfectly valid reason. 5 is not enough to choose from. The types of races and the amount of cars only shorten the selection you'll initially have from the get go. I'm not going to want to use the same 5 cars all the time, and I'm not going to want to have to buy and sell cars repeatedly just to get some variety. They throw on the table "play how you want" but it's not exactly that, as they are forcing you to play how they want. It seems extremely linear, compared to how open they are trying to make it sound.
I disagree, for obvious reasons but I still respect your opinion. I'll be fine with five.
