Basically shows how great EA are...

We've been over this read the entire thread see how people with the same question as you were answered and go from there.

The point is their may be minute changes due to overall dimensions of the two cars, but you get a power V8 rwd and after you've tuned the two of them what difference does it make which one you had. Both are going to be powerful cars that will come down to how well you set them up for whatever situation you take them to. And really from what Beta testing has told us, the only place such things matter is with online competition among other players. However, I don't see no need a Mustang, Challenger or Camaro when they all end up more or less slightly, doing the same thing for the package they offer.

If I want something with more rear balance and better COG as well as grip I'll get an AWD Mid engine car, but there are only so many of those for example. If i just want better COG and nimbleness then I'll decide between any one of the mid engine cars but I don't need all of them to get me to the same goal.

As for the selling factor I explained that, it would have nothing to do (for me) with Max limits. Rather if I'm bored with said car and feel there is something better to fill the role and have fun building then so be it, but I'm not going to sell cause I hit a limit and feel forced.
look, if i'm going to be shelling out 60 bucks of my own real money on a game in 2015, and said game has a car list with 51 cars with expected DLC, i better be able to own any one of them as i please, that's all i'm saying, 5 is a kick in the pants, it's just not necessary. The reason i am so pissed is because i already preordered the deluxe edition of this game, then EA wants to drop the 5 car limit on me out of nowhere, one month from my virtual automotive nirvana... when i was already told on the NFS forums (Multiple) times that we would have a "limitless" garage for "limitless" possibilities and "limitless" customization. even after the "rumors of a 5 car limit" started to spread, So yes, i'm beating a dead horse, because EA will always be EA.

I have stuck up for this game, Damage controlled and defended this game to high heavens for the aforementioned short comings of this title. First i got hit with the news of No cockpit view, in typical GT fan fashion i tried to find the silver lining "ohh it's ok i use hood view better anyway" then came the no manual Transmission, Again like the latter" ohhh it's ok automatic is not that bad, the customization still looks insanely cool, Day 1 buy" Then came the Always Online " okay..i'm abit skeptical because of the Simcity Fiasco, But i'll trust EA this one more time, Then came the 5 car limit. i lost it. admittedly, i tried to find a siliver lining, but then i thought, This is EA after all. 60$ is alot of money for a game, GTA5 in my opinion, is worth 60$, FH2, is worth more than 60, in my opinion, The Upcoming The Crew Wild Run, is definitely worth the money.. But this? no, i'm sorry but no. This game is being advertised as a limitless experience, And it's turning out to be more limited then most Tablet driving games that iv'e played.

I only hope and pray, that EA will change this. But since this is EA, i highly doubt it.

My thoughts on the Beta, 3 hours in.

It is amazing. The cutomization is good although I would like the option to mirror my decals in the wrap editor. The cars sound amazing, especially the R34 GT-R. You get most of your money back for selling cars but not all of it. The pursuits are alot of fun and the cop cars are realistic with top speeds of around 120-140MPH and you can have some movie style moments as last night I sped past a cop at 140MPH in my GT-R and I ducked into a side street and turned my engine off and they just drove straight by and then I just drove past them again when I lost them. The game look absolutely amazing and the framerate seems to be at a stable 30, no lag or anything in solo mode. It seems you can only get the "preset wraps" if you have a preset bodykit on your car. AI does seem to have some rubberbanding, as
I was driving my Challenger at 170MPH in one of the races and was destroying the AI when suddenly a 1971 GT-R just blasts pasts my Challenger. But I don't mind that as it keeps the races interesting. Music is nice and it does get louder the faster you drive. Cutscenes look really well done. Already at rep level 15. Can't wait to play more of this!

My 5 slots for the full game:
Nissan Skyline GT-R R34
BMW M3 E92
Porsche 911 Carrera RSR
Toyota Supra
Mazda RX-7

That"s awesome.

How's the handling ?

It's taking me a while to get used to, that's for sure. Bizarrely the 'grip' slider makes the steering speed slower and decreases the maximum wheel turn angle. It's annoying switching between 2 setups for grip and drift too but I guess that's why you have more than 1 car.

Yeah, I went with a grip favored setup at first and realized that was a terrible idea since it's essentially grip=massive understeer, drift=uncontrollable oversteer with no actual middle ground to be seen anywhere.

From my experience so far (And I've been playing for a few hours)... It is a really excellent game, ruined by a few features which should be easily fixed. The always online requirement is really killing the experience. I know it's a Beta and everything, so I expect the server to be in-and-out. However, my PS4's wifi connection to my internet is not reliable, and every now and then it can disconnect for a few seconds. I've been in a few situations where I'd be in a really intense situation evading the police or racing, then suddenly the game will chuck me out back to the main menu screen. Very frustrating. It really needs an offline mode, because I'm sure there are many people out there who have worse internet connection and are planning to buy the game.

Secondly, the controls cannot be modified (and I find it strange that no one has mentioned this before!). It's very difficult to get used to the layout if you've grown-up using completely different button configurations. It would be nice to use a familiar setup so I can jump right into the game without any issues.

And last of all, the fun factor of driving a fast car through the windy canyon roads was severely limited due to the lack of Manual Transmission. It sometimes even made driving boring. Very strange that Speedhunters didn't push Ghost games to include this.

Apart from these big problems, I've enjoyed what I could so far from this game. The five car limit doesn't bother me even slightly, and while the car handling is waaay too over the top (100mph - handbrake 180 turn - regain traction and drive off, all within 20 meters... and in the wet!), I find that it's still fun to use (I'm using max grip setting). The same applies to the crash physics, which I thought I was going to hate after watching earlier youtube videos.

Don't worry. It's still in beta status. They will make some changes rto their final product after receiving feedback from the ones who played the game.

I never doubted about preordering NFS2015 since this is my first time preordering a game. At least we finally get a good arcade racing game unlike today where its all about sim racing. At least NFS is there for us when we need a arcade racing game.

They can only fix bugs, the build your playing in the beta is a release candidate.

So I pretty much progressed as far as the beta will allow. Hit level 20 and no new events are showing up. Based on my whole experience, my only real complaint about the game is the AI in general. Rubberbanding is quite obvious when going up against multiple AI racers, especially at the beginning of the game when you're in a low powered car. The cop AI could use some adjustments too. They seem to lose track of you too easily and I found myself purposefully slowing down pretty often so that they could keep chasing me. Once, I had a 10 minute pursuit with them and racked up a $10,000+ fine, and I had little trouble escaping. More cops spawned during my attempt to lose them, but that was it. Hopefully, these things can be sorted before release day.

I've seen the negative comments on sites like Reddit regarding the handling and I have to disagree with them. Some people on there said they want the game delayed to "fix" the handling. It's really not that serious. Both my modified RX-7 and stock Porsche 911 993 handle and respond to my inputs nicely. The RX-7 was unpredictability twitchty when I tuned it a lot towards drift, but I prefer keeping the handling slider near the middle, slightly towards grip, so no big deal. So yeah, I think the physics are fine for the most part. The AI is a more important priority IMO.

This game is still a day one purchase for me though. I'm going to continue playing the beta as much as I can before it expires and I look forward to November.

I unfortunately didn't play the beta, but I've heard lots of complaints about the heavy rubberbanding. That reminds me a whole lot of Most Wanted 2012 (oh God, the FCPD...) and Rivals (there was one event where at the very last stretch another racer, usually driving a Porsche GT3, suddenly catches up and wins the race), and yes, if it's that bad, I hope they fix it in time.

The drift factor is massive even on the volvo, but the grip levels are astounding (i played the beta too)

I really hope so as we be racing against other people instead of AI as it would be the most annoying thing if you have a perfect race until the end where a person catches up and rams you to take the win.

After playing the game for a short while I reached a number of conclusions. Let's start with a few gripes I have:

- The amount of customisation for each car varies. Early previews of the game have shown cars like the S13 and BRZ being customised since they have a lot of options. For the Civic Type R I chose, there weren't many options and you could not even change the rear bumper on its own. However, a lot of parts were still a lot of locked parts so maybe there is some hope later on in the game.

- Speaking of the Civic Type R, I really do not think I will pick that as the first car in the full game. I had a hard time getting this car to drift but being FWD, that is to be expected. If I play with the settings a bit more then maybe I could find something to my liking.

- PLEASE LET ME PAUSE THE GAME!

Negatives out of the way, moving onto the positives

+ This game is eye candy. Yes, it may always be wet but it helps to recreate that underground atmosphere. This is probably one of the best looking racing games I've played!

+ This is a controversial topic but the handling is fine by me for the most part. The handbrake may be a little too sharp for my liking but for the first time since Hot Pursuit 2010, the handling model hasn't been heavily influenced by Burnout and feels like a mid/late 00's Black-Box era game.

+ So I've tried playing this game with one car for just over an hour to see if I could cope with having a restricted garage and I'm getting used to it more than I thought. The game hasn't made me feel like I need to purchase a second car since the performance mods help me to stay competitive in the early stages of the game. If the rubber-banding mechanisms remain present in the full game (another controversial point), I think it would be possible to complete most races with just your first car alone.

+ As cheesy as the cut scenes may be, the story is engaging and humorous at times. It is also cool how you get to see your car in some scenes and it blends into reality pretty well.

+ Didn't encounter any bugs, not sure how useful my feedback will be to ghost games in that case :boggled:

So far this game gets an 8/10. I may give it another go with other cars at some point.

By the way, I did spot a BMW M2 as a competitor so it is definitely in the game, most likely available to purchase after a day one patch.

For a beta that is pretty good. This makes me even more look forward to the actual game. :D

Yep, I haven't encountered anything that breaks the game for me. If you can live with rubberbanding, no proper pausing and the 5 car garage limit then there is no reason you shouldn't look forward to the full game! 👍

Been playing the beta a lot too today and i got a few things to say.

1. **** always online, cause i get disconnected a lot.

2. AI Needs to be fixed, i had a few moments with drift train i just drive on top of them like seriously?

3. Where ares the rocketbunny bodykits for the BRZ we saw in previous videos?

4. Police chases arent exciting at all.

5. Restarting a event is frustrating cause you will just go back to the event start, but you have to start at the point again where the event is, and its not automatically restarting which is annoying to me.

6. Some parts of the city are just like evening while others are at night, what is the logic in this? Its just not dynamic weather.

7. Make the menus easier.

8. Where are the drag races? Oh wait no manual transmission screw that.

9. No normal pauze menu?

I enjoy the game besides all those things, just missing manual transmission a lot.

That's good. So how does the Crew career work?

I've only just started playing the beta and I'm already stuck on loading screens for several minutes, is this normal?

The initial loading screen didn't take longer than 45 seconds for me (XB1), try booting it up again but do make a note of it when reporting bugs to EA.

I didn't focus much on crew tbh, I primarily did races and the occasional police chase (the police are rather easy to escape from in the early stages)
But what about the volume of traffic in game? Is it moderate than the Gamescom build?

But what about the volume of traffic in game? Is it moderate than the Gamescom build?

I would say there is a moderate level of traffic, a bit more than the Gamescom builds I would think. If you have played Most Wanted 2012 then there is less traffic than that game. Most traffic cars are parked though.

How does the hiding from cops work? Do you have to be out of sight or can you just stop around a corner and turn your lights off? Also have you tried changing the exhaust and did it change the sound much
If you're out of sight the cops look for you and if you're out of site for 5 seconds cooldown starts which lasts 15 seconds (on heat 1 & 2). If you can pull into a side street and turn your engine off out of site of a cop car that's almost a guaranteed escape.

Last question, what are the starter cars?

Maybe we should make a Q&A thread for this game?

Sorry for DP
That"s awesome.

How's the handling ?
Great, if you go full drift the car is a 🤬 to drive in a straight line or on the highway but drifts like a D1 car with ease. Full grip is the easiest to drive but, as expected, no drifting. Mid point is great if you plan to use a car for both drifting and racing.

I only encountered one bug so far and that was in one of the drift events were the AI would take a weird line through one of the corners and would mean I lapped them several times but no major bugs as of yet. I am definitely buying this on release. Also it seems you unlock more wraps as you level up, and there seems to be very few upgrades for high end cars. I bought the 458 to see what the high end customization was like and all there was was plates, wheels and a GT3 bodykit, no LB kit or anything. I'm currently at level 20 (max for the beta) and it pops up I level up everytime I earn XP which is annoying.

@FilipinoGTUser1 3 cars with custom wraps, a Civic Type R, a 1990 Mustang and a BRZ.

Thanks bro, looks like i'm going for the middle handling.

Keep in mind this is a beta so it may not be as good as the final game would be.

R32 GTR, Boss 302, Foxbody will definitely be in my garage.

Also the horsepower figures are insane, my GT-R with just parts up to level 20 and it's close to 850HP and the challenger is 800+ as well. I'm expecting some cars to exceed 1000HP fully tuned.
