As far as how this happened :

I backed up to USB , sent car to someone and then restored from USB.

The save to the USB was corrupted, so then game save was corrupted once I restored.

Anyone have other ideas other than saving to 2 separate USB drives to make sure it doesn't happen again?

Im talking about the

GT5 Save Data (Backup) that is created automatically. It should be your save prior to the corrupted one.

Yea don't dupe cars you cheat. Earn your cars the hard way. I'm sorry but you've kinda got what you deserve trying to cheat the system like that. Next time don't cheat.

Really? Duping cars is cheating? Don't want to be seen as a cheat, but like the guys on this thread that sent me a car, you guys didn't dupe, and actually emptied a great car from your garage? If so. Then MONSTER thanks.

Well yea duping is cheating cos ur practically getting a car for free and not doing anything to earn it so yea. you are cheating the system

do you think that everyone here in the marketplace sends you a car and loses it forever? Please, 90% of these guys back up their save before they do. Its dumb not to, its NOT cheating.

I don't dupe, if I have a car spare and someone needs it, I send it. Then again, I run the seasonals a lot and normally have plenty of money to spend, so am always buying from the UCD. Even if I don't need a car, there's usually someone who does.

I just like to try to spread a little happiness.

Dude i know a lot of people do it, but i still think its wrong and cheating in my opinion and i always send people my cars and loose them forever because that is the spirit of the game, you'd never get someone in real life trading u a car and then magically getting a carbon copy of their car back do you?? if you want a fantasy racing game then play something else.

Yea i have literally 30 muscle cars i dont use which just make it harder to find the car i want, why not give it to a guy rather than sell them for a thousand dollars when i have 10.5 mill

Same here, I collect SVT Cobra R Mustangs, just to give them away. I was dragging at Indy last night and two guys were looking for them, it took 5 minutes to convince them I was legit giving them away. I only ever ask one thing in return: Pay It Forward!

Cause I have done this a few times I trade to a bloke a car and the reapply save and then receive car from trade it isn't cheating at all it's helping people get the cars they want or can't seem to find in the UCD or OCD.

Satrt new game...hit the seasonals (time trial first as easy cash with no loss of days), then buy your classic muscle car..there is one in the very first UCD in a new game.
