New Acura NSX in GT5?

It was restrained by the exact same rules as they were. Porsche just chose a different powerplant that wasn't in the rule book. That's fair game.
And if you read what I post, it ended up being ineligible for points anyway & at Nurburgring, it was restrained far more than the other cars.

So, your little analogy I'm deleting holds no water. The car followed all the rules & even in the end, was penalized for it. It is no different from the Formula 1 cars of the past that ended up re-writing the rule books following their debuts.

Dude, the link you posted says exactly this...

Because the ALMS hasn't yet written the rules to cover this technology, the GT3 R Hybrid is ineligible for points.

It followed a set of rules that hadn't yet been written?

What am I missing here?

I'm referring to more than just ALMS. Perhaps you'll read where I posted "& at Nurburgring..." again.

Regardless, you seem to be missing the point. The technology is superior as was shown in Germany. The VLN had no rules against it, but decided to penalize it (just as the FIA GT does). They still allowed it to run & it still proved competitive even when hampered.

I'm sorry, but you're not going to convince me that something is flat out superior to something else when any of the vehicles being compared are built to conform to a specific set of regulations..... unless you're telling me that at this particular Nurburgring race teams were literally allowed to run anything they wanted.

Throw this technology in a "run what ya brung" series and if it whoops up on non hybrid vehicles developed on similarly sized budgets then I'll agree. But with racing regulations in place there are too many variables.

....and I'm not missing the point, I'm presenting a counter point.

*edit* - please note that I'm not saying that it's either inferior or superior, I'm simply saying that the evidence that has been presented to me hasn't been convincing enough to decide either way.

That is near exactly what the 24 Hours of Nurburgring is.

Obviously the cars have to follow certain basic rules (safety, teams, pit stops etc.), but other than that, over 200 cars take part & range from ALMS-fielded vehicles to European GT3 cars. It's the biggest reason why the manufacturer backed Manthey & Schnitzer Motorsports teams always win.

Take into account this is a Porsche backed team running their standard GT3 R (as offered right off the production line) against a Porsche backed GT3 R Hybrid in the same race.

You have obviously not read my post thoroughly. It seems that no matter what, it's ALWAYS a big deal to 99% of the people on here. (fanboys) I've lost hope in PD. They don't listen to the few of us that aren't fanboys, and every time they feed us a big plate of crap the fanboys gobble it down. They could give us a freaking Oscar-Meyer Wiener truck and you all would love it, because in your eyes EVERYTHING THAT PD DOES IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. We have enough concepts. We have enough Japanese cars.

And I can complain all I want to as long as it's not against the AUP.

I don't think the majority here reads your posts. All you do is complain about PD, and call us fanboys. You can only enter so much negativity into a certain person, event, or location before people begin to identify repetition and ignore.

I just went to Google to learn a bit more about this hybrid..... my impression is that they took an already fast car and fitted a complex, self renewing nitrous system to it. Is it impressive? Sure. But there are less complicated ways to get temporary boosts of horsepower that are undoubtedly banned.

Also, it appears as though it's in a horsepower restricted class, because because roughly 450 horsepower is a really low number if they could run whatever they wanted.

Oh, so there's less complicated ways? Then please share these new ways so we can e-mail Porsche, Jaguar, & several other manufacturers since they plan to introduce this exact system (aka KERS) into road cars in the future.

In short, you may to keep learning more about KERS. It's not an alternative to nitrous.

Mclaren, I think some people just don't want to accept the fact that hybrids are going to dominate the gas chuggers soon.

The car and track look great.

But to be honest a track with very long straits and banked corners is not much fun to drive on, I don't like SSR7 either.
I'd rather have some original GT courses.
But ofcours that is just my opinion.

alot of people are very happy about it so it would be good if PD did release it 👍

I hate almost all the original tracks,I don't care about SSR5,Deep-Forest,Gran Valley.........bring to me more real-life tracks like Silverstone,Imola.......and what about some new European car ?

PD amazing trailer making skills + new tracks + new Honda NSX + Dubstep =

No too bothered about the car but i always welcome new tracks.

I won't get my hopes up tho, like a few people have mentioned PD has a history of using tracks in trailers and never releasing them.

I just can't stand that stupid smiley face! Come on, what real and serious super car would look like that? Just ridiculous! Honda has an oportunity to gain some respect back, so far thy've blown it with this souless thing.

Well, its looks decent for a modern sport car. We haven't seen the specifications or driven it yet. I wouldn't count Honda out just yet, they are doing amazing things with their new line up of bikes. Not to mention that new leaf blower I saw at Lowes the other day...Whoa. LOL.

These tracks look nice, but I think they are just "trailer tracks". If not, It looks like a version of the Test Track and some harbor track similar to the Harbor used in a previous toyota trailer.....

Dont get our hopes up

Its absolutely beautiful though. (That harbor one). I can't help thinking that with the lack of updates PD gives us about specifically what they are working on, that they will suddenly release a DLC with 500 premium cars and 20 real world tracks that they have been hiding as a suprise. I know this will obviously never happen, but I can at least dream right?

What a ****ing amazing video! Thx for sharing man! Also, new tracks look great and does someone know hen the DLC is going to be released?

what i don't understand is what about the HSV-010? Honda developed this car for nothing other than Super GT? i was expecting to see a road car version of it rather than the ugly Acura concept.

lines are way too sharp for an aston, aston tends to have higher waist line and rear deck as well. :)

It still looks a bit generic so far.

I think they are talking about this Aston Martin Bulldog Concept:
