Finally downloaded the 25mb "video". I can't see the video, and it doesn't go for very long. Sounds exactly the same as the Official Trailer. All that time and all I get is a lousy sound file.

I will personally hunt down and kill the person who made this.
Sounds like you just need the proper codec to play the video portion (which only contains small bits of new footage).

And a new countryside article from playstation.com confirms grave digging. It also states that the Desert Eagle will be the most powerful gun in the game aside from the sniper rifle, and aircraft will have altimeters!

I think what you mean is that you love how things are connected back to Vice City.
Yeah thats the one!.

Jimmy Enslashay
Yeah, definately. It's just the angle of the screenshot. I looked at it more in depth. It's perfectly fine. I wanna drive it.
Yeah im hanging out hard to drive it and i bet theres races you have to do with in and things you have to smuggle across the desert!. Its gonna be sooo sweet!.

Yeah i also tried but failed, so im just gonna leave it. There are screenshots of the clip here .

Some things im speculating

I think it will be possible to sprint with assualt rifles now, In this screen took from the second trailer you can see CJ running quite fast with an AK.

Also when i looked more closely at the first trailer at the beach party im almost covinced there is a dog there!

It'd be interesting to be able to have a dog, in san andreas, then again it'll be another thing to take care...it'd also be more realistic if they run across the road, and may have a chance to get hit.

I really hope you can run with assault rifles in SA, it was a huge pain in the ass to have to switch to a grenade or another small weapon in a gunfight just so you could sprint.

Yeah I always hated that about GTA3 and GTA VC. I wish you could sprint with all weapons. While that may not be too realistic, it makes things easier. I can't count how many times I've died just because of that.

We all saw that we can on the trailer so.:)

Soundtrack info is coming out right now, updates at IGN and the official site, more detailed post coming soon, this is hot off the presses.

O.M.F.G.

One of the biggest questions we've gotten over the last couple of months here at IGN is "What can you tell us about the soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas?" Unfortunately for our readers, we've had to remain completely hush-hush about it and were sworn to total secrecy. Luckily for us (and for you), however, that time of silence is now finally over, as we've finally gotten the okay from our friends at Rockstar to fill you in on the audio aspects of the year's most anticipated PlayStation 2 game.

Now we should tell you right off the bat, that San Andreas looks to expand on the strong production values of 2002's Vice City by quite a considerable margin. Boasting more than three times as many tracks as Grand Theft Auto III (let me say that again: three times as many tracks as GTA3), San Andreas features 11 fully-functional radio stations with 20 completely different DJs. The song list alone is pretty enormous with more licensed music in it than in any other action videogame in history. Ranging in styles from Rap to Rock, Country to House, and Reggae to Rock, San Andreas should have a little something for everyone -- including the always-popular talk radio programming.

Lead by Audio Designer Allan Walker and Music Producer Craig Connor, the radio aspects of the game have been given a complete technical overhaul. Instead of looping the sounds heard on each station, for instance, the entire setup is dynamic -- which allows each DJ to react to events in the game in real time. What this means is, that each and every song will be given a different introduction based on who the DJ is, as well as being prefaced with comments on CJ's progress through the game. Additionally, players can expect to hear live weather bulletins, deadly accurate news updates, music blocks, custom track lead-ins and outs, and call-ins from people all over the state.

The commercials have been given a greater emphasis as well, with three times the amount found in Grand Theft Auto III. And since the whole state of San Andreas is populated with real brand names that CJ can purchase, commercials for them will be aired on a regular basis. Helmut Schein, Cluckin' Bell, and Ammu-Nation are but a few of these companies that have already paid for a considerable amount of airtime.

Perhaps the coolest aspect of radio stations, though, is the fact that each and every vehicle will play songs differently -- since every vehicle has different speakers inside them. As an example, normal cars have a more balanced sound playback while lowriders offer a huge amount of bass and low-end audio. Players will also have access to a new optional feature that allows them to adjust the sound level of their ride.

Outside of the game, fans will once again have the opportunity to purchase the soundtrack independently (Vice City did the same two years back). But to make this new soundtrack even better than the last, Rockstar has reached an agreement with Interscope Records to publish two different ways to get your hands on the music. The first is the regular edition double album that offers up key tracks for each radio station. But the second and more attractive way to get the music is via the giant box set -- an enormous package that contains eight overloaded CDs. Both versions of the soundtrack are expected to hit shelves on November 23.

But how about the radio stations themselves? What can we expect from them? Listed on the next page are all ten music stations described in detail with Rockstar's own official description included to support them:

WCTR TALK RADIO

The news about a dedicated Classic Rock station just put me through the roof! Also it looks like the alternative station will be good too, the early 90s did have some good music come out of that genre (like Rage Against the Machine). Check out the official website to hear the sample tracks.

It's been rumored that real life DJs Opie and Anthony will be doing the talk radio station for SA, but with multiple DJs per station, I certainly wouldn't rule out Lazlow as being a talk DJ.

Two new screenies @ IGN for everyone's viewing pleasure.

I knew it i said they would have this yes im a legend! he he just jokes.

Also im thinking this is not all the radio stations in the game, there will be more that will probably remain secret till the games release. And weather its Lazlow or those other guys hosting the talk radio i know it will be good. I wonder if Mourice Chavez will be back?

So far RADIO:X is my choice closely followed my WCTR Talk Radio. I hope its lazlow.

Great info there.

I was hoping they would include this!

That is so Lazlow! I'll be listening to K-Jah West, Bounce FM, the chat station.

Speaking of planes, I just found 2 new scans taken off a German advertisement for San Andreas.

It looks like a P-51 to me!

A P-51 with Normandy stripes! :D No bomb rack though :( Better be guns!
Those police bikes look mean, I hope they work together and box you in!

Looks like the co-op aspect of gta:sa is false

This from gta-sanandreas.com

Apparently, Take2 Spain made a press release regarding that co-op mode does not exist. We would post the article but its in a different language and the translation is poor. Regardless, the Spong article was only a speculation article worded pretty badly.

Well I'm gunna be listening to Radio Los Santos, Playback and K-Jah Radio West in my Lowrider with the bass pumped up. Also WCTR Talk Radio in my Perennial-like vehicle (in VC) should be a laugh whilst going downtown to get groceries. On another note, I pre-ordered my SA today, £31.50 with postage and package from a very reliable company I know. They said it definately will get to me by the 30th at the latest. Plus I get a Reddie. :)

I'l listen to Radio X and WCTR al the time. Lazlow would be nice, but what if it were Howard Stern? 👍 That would kick ass.

Gamespot says that a full track listing will come out on monday!👍

All I want to hear is some death row stuff, snoop dogg, Dre, Tupac, and NWA.!!!!1 im going to pee my pants.

Gamespot new info

Gamespot have updated with new information about San Andreas. It explains the 'gang research' Rockstar did for San Andreas and goes into detail on the gangs you will encounter. Other notes of interest include the importance of tatoos, clothing and even hand signs - a good example of what the graphics engine is capable of.

Well, looks like the Ballas are a psycho gang. I would like to be neutral with everyone (maybe -1 respect with Ballas), but have respect from my gang (OGF). Also, check Page 2 of the article posted above by R32GTST/M, and it will show you the gangs of Los Santos. They name some areas within areas, and some areas have 2 gangs control it, but these gangs are affiliated with each other. For example, The Front-Yard Ballas control the Jefferson area of Idlewood, where as the Rollin' Heights Ballas control the Glen Park and southern areas. This makes the game seem quite large to me.

Varrios Los Aztecas -- "They are the kings of lowrider customs, and drive some of the craziest rides in Los Santos." This means they drive more than 1 ride, possibly more than 2. This also means other gangs may follow suit.

These radio stations and the music have blown me away. All the new features including different sounding speakers, are great. I'll be listening to WCTR Talk Radio, Radio X, K-DST and maybe a little K-Jah West for some fun.

I'm pretty much speechless on everything. I love the radio towers. 👍

With San Andreas only 9 days away for the US, and 11 days away for Australia and Europe, information is spilling out by the bucket loads. I can't wait to play it!

I did'nt expect to have so many allies i thought it would be an OGF map takeover that would get you the most turf, but buy reading that article it sounds like uniting the families to take on the ballas will be how its done. I also think Kendalls boyfriend will play a part in uniting OGF with VLA.

Same here, can't wait for the talk stations oooh yeah!!

Yeah, it seems you become quite good friends with VLA. They are in some screenshots where CJ is walking with them, looks like they are about to attack someone.

San Andreas vs its California & Nevada Counterparts:

Check it out here. Some things, like the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco building look very well done in San Andreas form.

I really like the sounds of how the gangs work. Sounds very in-depth and well done.

It does sound really good. I cant wait to see some turf wars and some random destruction from other gangs.

BTW: Blake, do you mind if I add you to MSN? you can say no, i dont care.

Yeah sure, add me.

I'll be sitting on the borders of other gangs turf with a crew just waiting for **** to fly!
