How about a General Electronics forum?

Like where people can talk about (For Example) riggin up there Surround sound :note:

mobile phones, :tv:, Video Players, DVD, Digital Cameras etc.. etc..
 
I think this is a nice forum idea. The only forum I can think of that's close to electronics is the "Hardware Forum."
 
I think you'll find an appropriate forum for this topic in GTP 5. :)

I'm not setting a release date in case I can't live up to it, but I can tell you it is getting very, very close to being completed! Keep an eye out for hints here and there...
 
Is GTP5 going to be just an update of the current GTP - like new forums, etc or is it going to be a major overhaul like new layouts, forums, vb hacks, etc?

It appears that way now, but after some reorganization I don't think it will be quite so cluttered.
 
I mean - we don't need the GT Rumor and Speculation. Nor do we need the GT3 and GT2 Settings and tuning forums. I don't know about GT3, but the GT2 Settings and Tuning hardly ever gets posted in. I also don't see the need for Other Racing and FIA World Rally Championships - that could all go under Automative. PC Gaming should either be a sub-forum of Gaming - not a forum itself. If the General Electronics Forum was to be added, computeres should be a sub-forum of that. And all those Sport and Fitness subforums should all be under the one forum. They aren't exactly the most popular. And the rest should stay as they are.

Just my opinion.

Didn't you set a date last year... and it didn't work out? Lessons learned? ;)

I think Jordan took some heat about that last year. Nothing serious, just some teasing! :P

So if I'm getting this right You are working on GTPlanet 5 right now? Or is it a new version of "The one The Only, The Ultimate" vB ? I'm confused :confused:

Yes, I am working on GTP 5 right now because it is not finished. When I apply the changes to the forum, I will upgrade to the latest version of vBulletin. (The latest version is 2.2.9. GTP5 will not include vBulletin 3.0.0, which I have mentioned before, because it will not be released by Jelsoft until next year. vB3 and GTP5 are completely separate, so do not include vB3 when thinking about GTP5.)

Jordan, when GTP5 comes out can we expect a new avatar from you? I think I have seen you with only 2 avatars.

I totally agree Eddy, like the current events forum thats a bit dead as well - With what Jordan said about the new GTP5 I think some forums need to be scrapped with approval of members but in the end it's Jordans choice.

And Jordan what was your previous avatar?
