I'm thinking a V8 Vantage competitor and Ferrari California competitor. Lamborghini don't have anything which slots into that category...

-> I may think that this is the Murcielago SV. :dunce:
No, its not. First of all, where is the door? And why would they put smaller front brakes on the hot version of the Murcielago than on the normal Murcielago?
This is something completely new.

Alex
Damn dealership inside knowledge
Its not inside knowledge. Its obvious. This concept looks nothing like the Murcielago.

Lamborghini's disappointed me with their last two cars (Rev and LP550-4) and the "facelift" treatment they've given their cars, so I'm not really getting that excited if it's something silly like a new LP550-2 or something.

Well...I guess the new fad among exotic manufacturers is 4-doors. Interested to see if any Audi components make it into this one.

WCF is saying A7 if this was to be an Audi. I blame the CLS for spawning all these supercars designed to look like half breeds of a loaf of bread and a potato.

I still don't see where this is confirmed as a 4-door other than "our source says that Lamborghini was able to use whatever they wanted from VAG" or whatever.

if it is a 4 door i do hope it doesnt just look like a stretched out gallardo
im wondering if its more of a mashup of newer technology rather than a visually different lambo

From the latest sources, it appears this is now the Urus. So, they've got a great name down for the type of car, now let's see how they do with the car, itself.

Good for them.

But I don't see why Edmonds is asking whether or not Ferrari will follow the path. They won't. I don't see what Ferrari has to do with this tractor company. Ferrari will follow customer demand and the market, but not competitors.

So the new California isn't a direct competitor to the top end Merc SL? :odd:

Ferrari doesn't need to. If the "Urus" is a sedan or 2+2 at the least, Ferrari's 612 should feel right at home competing with it. That is, depending on the type of performance Lamborghini is planning to set the "Urus" at.

From the moment I heard about the announcement I thought a Rapide/Panemera competitor. Thus far, it seems pretty close.

latest picture..they say its a 4door sports sedan called lamborghini urus.....(strange name...)

That rear end reminds me of the Dodge Charger R/T concept from a couple of years back:

I don't too particularly like what I see there. Good thing that's not officially it. A job well done though.

Nice Camaro roof there too.

It was just a very very quick mock-up really. Could'nt (be bothered to) find anything suitable for the bottom corners. Roof is a stretched Audi A5 i think ;)

I agree that quick mock up had me fooled at the first glance. Nice job with it. I can see the back looking like that for sure. The roof will probably look better, hopefully.

I'm guessing there will be a little extra styling in the rear. That doesn't exactly look busy enough to be a Lambo IMO.

The A5 and the Camaro are basically the same car anyway, right? :dunce:
