I saw gameplay today and it looks just like burnout paradise but with real cars,do you think its a cool thing or do you think its an easy way for ea to make money by "copying a game" basicly?

i think since the developher is CRITERION its look like the system will copy from hotpursuit2010 so i think this will be HOT PURSUIT+BURNOUT..i love hot pursuit but the car physic is terrible ihope they improve in this game make it like previous most wanted..the worst physic is undercover..hmmm

To me it feels like hey all do you want a game that we used old software and just mashed it together with another game? It's not fresh its old and used
@ neema I didn't use that because I want peoples un bias opinions...yes but, people don't want to buy a game that is a repeat of another,if they made a new burnout instead I would be sold

I fail to see the logic in that, not only is it against the AUP, you'll also attract the people you're trying to avoid by posting a duplicate thread, your thread will at best be merged into the existing one and and worst just be locked... And what makes you think people are biased? Can you define what would qualify someone as biased? In this case you appear to mean you don't want to discuss this game with people who are looking forward to the game (who would be discussing it in the existing thread) and will therefore disagree with your opinion.

Can you name one game that isn't like that to a certain extent?
Battlefield 3 uses Frostbite 2, an engine developed from Frostbite, which was first used in Battlefield: Bad Company.
Call of Duty: MW3 uses the engine from Call of Duty: MW, that engine itself based on the idTech3 (aka Quake 3) engine.
Plenty of games use UT3, UT3.5 and maybe UT4 (not sure if that exists yet?).
Portal 2's engine is basically a tarted-up version of Half Life 2's.

The list goes on. I get what you mean though, this does appear to be Burnout Paradise but with real cars, however Burnout Paradise was spectacular so that's fine by me. If this is what we're getting instead of Burnout Paradise 2 then I'm certainly not complaining.

1st biased as in fanboy, people who love the nfs series,I want people who aren't in any way biased
2nd frotbite 2 is not frostbite its an upgrade therefore is not old it is new,mw3 imo is nor very good because of that also I think the COD franchise is releasing games to fast and they are not taking there time(many buy it because friends have it.It is a ban wagon game)and portal 2 is still a very diff game from half life.they are not extremely similar like burnout paradise and NFS most wanted.also in the first place I wasn't speaking of the engine I was speaking of the game itself my earlier post was an analogy

I have to ask, how do you know how similar Most Wanted will be to Burnout Paradise? I could understand if you were assuming the core software was the same or a development of Burnout's, but do you know for a fact that there will be billboards and fences to smash through, ramps placed throughout the city, stunt, aggression and speed boost types and so on? I personally think, no, hope it'll be a cross between Burnout's physics, Hot Pursuit's graphics (which already seems to be apparent) and a game like Carbon's free roaming with police chases and a little more serious than Burnout was. It'll be weird if you unlock a 911 Turbo for smashing through enough billboards, after all.

Lol yes if you watch the gameplay video you see boosts takedowns, crash fences, jumps and billboards watch the e3 video that is why I posted this because of the similarity,my question is why do you jump in to argue and act all know it all try to make me look wrong when in fact you are wrong?

Eh, it's 4am here, I take it all back and apologise. Still, Burnout Paradise was awesome so I'm still looking forward to this.

I wish the new Most Wanted was a copy of the old one!, sadly its not and I'm not impressed at all. Hot Pursuit obviously one hit wonder from Criterion. If this was branded any other name it would be fine but they wanted to cash in on a famous title.

TBH, i'm trying to gather this.

As much as the police chases were enjoyable in the "original" NFS:MW, there was nothing of actual true value about BlackBox's Most Wanted. Everything else can be pushed to the side. The whole "Blacklist" and "Top Street Racer Boy" can go. The story never really had gravity, the characters never really made any impact, though the Cut Scenes were cool looking. But I don't see the "love." It's absolutely not a Need For Speed title in a way. Don't get me wrong, it was fun, but it didn't carry anything much at all to be redeemed.

Hot Pursuit obviously one hit wonder from Criterion.
No. Criterion isn't EA Canada/Blackbox, my hopes stay high. The more I read about Criterion's NFS Most Wanted, the more I look foward to, and want to own a NFS title again.

I'm just trying to understand the reasoning behind calling it Most Wanted other than financial because even though there were aspects of the original that weren't exactly stellar that's what people want out of a game claiming to be the spiritual successor.

If this was a new NFS IP, that's fine. If it was a new Burnout title, that's fine. But calling it Most Wanted people expect it to be like the original complete with storyline etc. Hot Pursuit was an excellent example of staying true to the previous title but this is just Burnout with NFS written on the box.

Robin.
