New round of Travian, anyone?

If you're not getting any resources stolen at all, eventually your attackers will give up.

Unless you can train 50+ troops in a day, there's no point training anything if you aren't actually losing any resources ;)

I saw where Slicks had been raided. They didn't get much, especially that last one. And they haven't raided him since. If they don't get much they'll leave you alone because you will be a waste of a raid.

Matt, you can now see the interesting bits of the forum - I forgot to put you in the GTP-R usergroup when I activated your account earlier.

Silly me.

Matt - You can join the GTP Alliance if you like. There's an invitation already waiting for you.
(Being in an alliance shows that you're less likely to be inactive, thus making you less likely to be a farm).
Have you tried messaging the people who are attacking you? Quite often, if you ask nicely and mention that you are active, they'll leave you alone. I've had to write twice already, and people were more than happy to oblige.

Right, at fiero's request I'm cleaning up the forum. All the stuff from the previous S1 round is being moved into its own subforum, effectively leaving a clean forum. :)

Much appreciated.
I'd do it myself if I could access the modpanel. (I pm'd you.... You can see for yourself there's no link).

Very bottom of any page, should be there... "Go to administration panel", depending on skin could be hard to see.

So how are you guys doing for production now?

Production:
Lumber: 67 per hour
Clay: 67 per hour
Iron: 60 per hour
Crop: 36 per hour

I still have no troops yet, but I do have a decent sized cranny and I managed to work myself into a fairly good alliance for the time being. Thank you fancy screen caps from previous games, they did their job of impressing :)

That'd be one way to do it. "Here's my resume. As you can see..."

Or was it more a case of: "Here's how many troops I've had in the past. Let me in the alliance now, or when I get this many troops again I will single handedly destroy you!"

I think he could have pulled it off equally as well either way.

I'm going to start posting my village info on the new section in the gtp-r forum.

Alot of my small farms are vanishing, better start working on the resource fields again.

Once I start hitting field level 5 or 6, I am going to switch to offense... finally. Haven't even built a barracks, yet.

Wood: 42
Clay: 44
Iron 32 (upgrading next)
Crop: 22

I still have the same buildings as before (except much better cranny), but the attacks have slowed down on me now, so I may consider building a Barracks and troops soon.

Yup. I've seen a few people make that mistake. I made that mistake last round.

For now, "Canada, Eh?" will be good enough.

Production:
Lumber - 48
Clay - 42
Iron - 36
Crop - 25

I've got a L3 Barracks and an Academy up, and hopefully an armoury in the next day or two.

So... A slight change of tactic for myself and the GTP Alliance. It's being disbanded, and we're going into the alliance Unknown.

The founder is a real friendly guy, he lives in Vancouver, and the alliance in the Northwest. They seem serious and long-term, and have a few 100+ pop members. I see a good future with them.

So how goes your alliance Slicks? I'm currently sitting in the SPQR regime.... which I somewhat recall hating, I think. They have like a billion wings already too. Though, they big and scary enough that no one really bothers me anymore.

So how are you guys doing on development? I'm still going for only fields, have them in the level 4/5 range now and broken 3 digits on hourly productions.

Well, I just broke 100 population yesterday, and the Unknown alliance seems to have a few good people in it.

I'm not keeping up with you in terms of production - I'm probably at half your rates - But I've focused a little more on buildings and military for now. I'm at the point where I either need to expand my troop numbers to make them profit, or stick to small, low profit farms.

I think I'm going to be concentrating on my resources a little more, as I've more or less caught up with my alliance building-wise.

Edit -Yikes. SPQR's got more wings than an Always pad!

Yeah, they are pretty over the top in wings; they haven't changed much in that regard.

Once I get a few fields to level 6, my population will likely explode as I shift from fields to military, since the barracks, academy, blacksmith, and such give a large boost to population.

I built a Hero's Mansion earlier today. I'm not sure why, since it'll take forever to get to level 10. And even longer until I've got a hero to train.

Umm, you can train a hero when its level 1... though wait till you have a TT for a hero. Fast hero = win.

Epic.

Typical Cody, all offense

It works well. I negotiated with several alliances into letting me have some villages from them. It also helps that I am very polite and rather nice when talking with people. Throws many off balance because this crazy guy just wiped out everything they had but is quite nice about talking with them on it.

Got a field into level 6. Will probably start on barracks and such before the day is out.

Current progress:

Population: 87

Lumber: 81
Clay: 81
Iron: 67
Crop: 45

Level 6 main building
Level 8 cranny
Level 2 Wall
Level 2 Warehouse
Level 1 Granary
Level 1 Barracks

Still no troops, but will still be upping my resources before I start creating any. All attacks seemed to have stopped on me now. :D
