Can you try Spa please , preferable a lineup with both (Jag and Zonda).I´d like to see what you can pull there.

I´m at 572 PP (also a german car) too , could win Spa against both by 9 seconds.

What kind of tyres were you racing?

EDIT: I've done Spa with the M3 GTR and I'm beating the Jag by around the 9 second range. What car are you using?

Gave it a go with the ZZII at 580PP on RS. Got the lead end of lap 3. Won by 10 seconds. It still pushes though, so more tuning could make it even faster.

I´m at 567 PP at the moment.
Won Spa by 3 seconds.
Did build a new R8 4.2 on my other account and dropped the wing. :)

I realized from one of my past comments that I noticed the "LM" in the Jaguar XJR9's name in GT5. I still think the Dream Car Championship should be reserved for the fantasy LM Race Cars of GT, excluding the Jaguar XJR-9. Now when I looked on ultimatecarpage.com, I saw the XJR-9 as the "XJR-9 LM." Still- let the FTO Super Touring cars battle against the RX-7 LMs and stuff.

Car has 565 PP with a 97.5% PowerLimiter and runs on RS tyres

Won GV, SSR5 and Spa very easily using a stock Motut Autech GT-R on RH tires. Won by 7-13 seconds over the XJR-9 without even driving all that well. Used RMs for Suzuka and Eifel because I wasn't in the mood for Suzuka and I wasn't going to be bothered to learn the Eifel track.

But reading this thread, seems road cars can win too. Went back and used a 546 PP Ruf RGT to win Spa against the XJR-9. But, it has to be said, I was cutting Raidillon by a decent margin on three laps and was using the runoff at Blanchimont.

Edit: Ok, added exhaust upgrades, ran cleaner and better. Overtook the XJR-9 coming out of Pouhon on the last lap and held on to win with my 552 PP Ruf RGT.

Headed to Spa in my R8 LMS, on Racing Softs, and didn't even know the track too well, and found myself catching the XJR-9 on the final lap. Made the pass halfway round teh circuit (not great with the corner names :dunce:) and held on to win by about 2-3s. Really surprised me! Is the XJR-9 slower than normal or is this the difference between hard and soft tyres? Not complaining either way, it's money in the bank that I wasn't expecting from a test run :cool:
 
On racing hards @ 600pp, I've been able to beat the XJR-9 (just barely) with a Takata Dome NSX, the RX-7 LM car and the RX-8 concept LM (edging out the jag on the very final chicane each time!) Can be done with consistent lap times of 2:20.5 or so.
 
Is it me, or the AI in this event is extremely slow??? :confused:

Because I defeated the XJR9 in a Calsonic Skyline on SSR5!!! :scared:

Also, I defeated the Jag again in Grand Valley Speedway... with a Lister Storm... :scared:

But anyway... I've enjoyed this seasonal a lot! :)👍
 
Ran it in a Judd-overkill, even with my sloppy torque management.
Next did all races in my M3 GTR. Very close and fun. Finished with the rear-view mirror full of Zonda each time. Best challenge since the GTC seasonal, IMO.
 
Just beat Spa with the NSX Type R '02 by 3.5 seconds. The car was putting out 432 hp and had 539 pp. This was just against the Zonda, but still...
 
^^ NSX Type-R is really good for it's PP level. No surprise it can win this with a low PP.

Update: Once you get used to the RGT's quirks, the car really flies. Beat the XJR-9 on Spa with the Ruf RGT at 544 PP. I passed the XJR-9 on lap 4 coming into Stavelot and won by almost 7 seconds, so the PP can be lowered still. Might come back to this later and try the Ruf at 530 PP or so.
 
I love this Spa seasonal. A good chance to try out so many cars that I had not driven before. This past weekend I must have used over 40 different cars on this track alone. I have also discovered some cars that ate so wonderful to drive.
 
I guess Spa is the easiest to win with low PP, from what I'm seeing.

I've been running Grand Valley because I know it very well and I don't know Spa. But I should take this opportunity to put in some laps and learn it.

I think most guys are concentrating on Spa because it's the highest payout. And the best track of the event.
 
I slaughtered this with my Peugeot 908. I mean it was not remotely a challenge.

I then did it with my premium Xanavi Nismo Z GT500 car at 600pp and it too was easy. I ran against the Zonda and Jag and it was easy. It's only a little bit harder on tracks with lots of straights so the Jag could exploit it's huge acceleration advantage. But I still dominated in the Z.

I'm gonna try it with my ACR when I get a chance. Using a race car is way too easy.
 
Just won Spa with amemiya asparadrink. The car is a joy to drive
 
Just came 4th at spa in my fully tuned SRT4 . What fun.lol

Beat Spa against the XJR-9 with the RGT at 533 PP (458 hp, 1250 kg). Can be done with lower, but I'm getting tired of catching the AI in the corners where they are way too slow. You lose so much time when you follow an AI into Stavelot, their exit speed is pitiful. Some of my good runs were ruined that way.
 
i concentrated on spa only after using the Toyota Le Mans Duo (88C-V and GT-ONE) to claim the prize (A Zonda LM in my case) and ran several races with the Zonda R

but so far to my surprise, an R35 TC (unmodded, RH tyres, no oil change, ABS level 1 otherwise assists off, tweaked with the front and rear diff, PP632)could out run the XJR-9 (702PP)...at SPA!

i think as my fellow GT players are aware, they are particularly slow in the corners, but at the straights it is a different story, although it seems to slow down quite a bit for eau rouge, which helped me to catch the XJR-9 at the bus stop chicane before the finish of lap 3, and going on to win by 11 seconds.

Possibly a good excuse to finally get the Impreza TC going

I used a '67 chevy corvette c2 race car , oil changed , around 600pp, wasn't very easy but won by some seconds ( I'm talkin about spa )
 
With a 560PP GSX/R-4 I beat the Jag at Spa by 8 seconds. The main problem is the low top speed of this car. I would gain 4 seconds on him in the tight sectors, but he took back 2 seconds in the straighter sectors.

Could definately win with lower PP but it would be better to add weight than to lower hp (with this car)

yep. The one from new dealership. The car is nifty and is glued to the tarmac making turning a joy. It can take corners at high speed.

The AI cars were slow as well from the exit of La Source and the exit of Eau Rouge, i kept bumping into the back of slow cars, which spun me out if I was in a GT-ONE/88C-V/Zonda R
 
Had a go with the Mobil 1 NSX '01 on RS and won by a lot. De-tuned it to 545 pp and won by 2.5 seconds over the Jag on Spa.
 
I used the suzuki escudo and won by over a minute
