I used the above setup for the Fiat & was able to Gold it with DS3 & using AT. Gold was achieved with 2.08 1st lap & 2.03 after that.

Had all aids off except ABS 1
Use controller sensitively 3 or less
Need to minimize tire squeal
Must take corner before long straight without lifting off gas
Don't overbrake at end of long straight (min speed in that corner was 62mph @ apex, 60 climbing up hill)
Keep your speed up as much as possible. I think there are only 4 turns where you need to use brakes (after 1st tunnel, at end of back straight, & at 2 sharp turns at end of lap).
You need to lift but not brake in first tunnel. Speed over split marker should be ~58.
I increased final gear up slightly for more acceleration but just under limiter. Will post final gear when I get on PS3.

Good luck!

EDIT: Final gear increased to 4.050

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have a go later and let you know how I get on.

just used the op's tune on the 111R & got to 1st in no time. I think what helped me out the most was the tranny gearing even though I didn't use an RM & the little bit of front toe out (-.03) helped loosen the car up so I could reduce steering wheel input. Made all the difference. Thanks ADRENALIN
Glad it worked for you, I wasn't sure how the set up would work on a non-RM version, but I've had a few people say it was great.

yeah they are called expert; not impossible. The fiat one is harder then the other 2 expert events which I have gold already. It's harder then any A-spec match i've done too.

You have to be PERFECT, no room to even take a corner a split second to slow.

if you get 2:04 on even 1 lap, you will not WIN; you have to restart.
These aren't meant for everyone, so logically not everyone should win.
I'm actually glad there are races that aren't winnable by everyone. What's the point if everyone can beat it? It's no longer a game, it's a skill-less button mashing.

Do you guys pick up a guitar, with zero lessons, expecting to be able to play?
When you fail at it, do you throw a temper-tantrum and cry because you can't play Stairway to Heaven?

I must say a big thanks Mr Adrenaline for posting the links to those set ups 👍

Worked great for me I found the fiat race the hardest...took me 8 goes to finaly gold it...the easiest was the Scoobie at Laguna got it on the 4th attempt and the Elise one I actually enjoyed the most took 5 goes before gold.

The 3 tunes I used are Fiat JG...Subaru Rotary Junkie and for the Elise praiano63 many thanks to those guys for the tunes 👍

And finally thanks to PD for the event really great to have a good challenge hopefully there will be more like this in the future :)

Pick a setting. Hitting the limiter during the race? Raise top speed. Not hitting? Lower top speed. Find perfect spot = Profit.

Generally you're not going to go faster than 89-91 mph, so keep that in mind and see what works for you.

So your basically saying the tranny should be in the 89-91 range as the top speed? What about the final gear, a lot of people are adjusting it, which I don't understnad why? My best time was one second behind leader...still can't seem to make that one second up...driving me insane.

This Fiat 500 event is frustrating but fun. I was able to finish within a second of the leader (.744 to be exact) with the setup I'm using so I know that I will beat it eventually. The key is to have a good first lap, 2:07.xxx or better which should set up up for consistent 2:04.xxx or better lap times for the remaining laps. Anything worse you might as well restart the race.

There are actually very few corners that require breaking most you can just let of the throttle and glide through the corner. :)

Just done the fiat challenge thanks to the settings on this thread now to move onto the lotus challenge lol

pfew i just got gold with the WRX!

hit an 1,36,9 as an opening lap (best 1st lap so far was an 36,5 in the try before the win)
then a 1,35,5 2nd wich should be youre goal to get gold
completely messed up an important corner (the fast left one before the corkscrew) went of track there with 4 wheels but managed to keep some speed 1,37,2 sec
4th was an 1,35,6
and last lap i somehow managed to get an 1,34,5 :boggled:

winning it with an 0.020 sec lead! omg!

i really thought i had to start it over when i messed up the 3rd lap but somehow i kept going, and was able to take alot of speed trough the corners in the last lap. was behind the R34 GTR in the last corner but had more speed on the straight to the finish drafting behind the gtr till the last moment and got the win!

i also used Rotary Junkies tune, set the tranny at 143mph 230km/h, shifted at 7,5k rpms and adjusted the mid diff to 45/55 F/R. i used DS3 Controller on 5 sensivity. ABS 1 all other stuff OFF

im pretty sure if the 3rd lap wasnt that messed up i could win with more then 1 sec lead!

OK in my first try with my own setups

Fiat 500: 4th
Elise 111R : 5th
Sti: 5th

I'm going to take some of the setups and post my new results :dopey:

yeah got the Team Matmut Peugoet 908 with the level 23 ticket:)
already had the other 908 so now ive got both:tup:

can someone please explain this to me? the creator of this thread said he won with JG's fiat 500 setup , but how could he have? JG's 500 setup would increase its horsepower way over the limit on the challenge

Finally got first in the Lotus race. Tried a dozen times, and always came 2nd, by 2.5s. Looking at the setups again, I realized I never put a wing on the Lotus! With a wing, it was able to hold the back end better, and I managed to win by 1.5s.

Well here are my first results using some of the setups posted here

Fiat 500 challenge: 2nd (18 seconds difference with first place lol) Using SHIRAKAWA Akira Setup at first try

Lotus 111R: 2nd (1.2 seconds difference with first place) Using SHIRAKAWA Akira Setup at first try

Subaru impresa WRX Sti Sedan: 5th ( 20 Seconds difference with first place) Using Ugabugaz Setup at first Try

My results the first try using my own setup

Fiat 500: 4th @ 27 Second difference with first place at first try
Elise 111R : 5th @ 7 seconds difference with first place at first try
Sti: 5th @ 19 seconds difference with first place at first try

I was able to improve my results using SHIRAKAWA's setup, I was going to make some modifications according with my drive style, but thursday I had a car accident with a bus and I just started to suffer a lot of pain on my neck and back so I'll go to rest a little :indiff:

Use all settings, but drop hp and adjust weight to required specs.

Whoo Hoooo. Just golded all three. Used the LDP Impreza Tune, the JG Fiat Tune and my own Elise tune. Changed gear ratios and made sure the ballast was as far back as it could be for Impreza and Fiat. Really helps turning to counterbalance wieght of engine over the front wheels. Not sure why adding a rear wing helped but it did.

Was closest with the 500, impreza and elise had two corners prior to finish line.

Thanks to who ever suggested comfort soft on rear tyres and sports hards on front for the Subaru event. Until I did that I was getting no where.

Cleaned up for readability and linkability...

Just golded the Elise challenge by 2.2 seconds. I used Adrenaline's setup in post #3 of this thread (although I had more upgrades, just had to tone it down more) and won on the 2nd try. Only difference is ride height I used -25/+20. I'm using DS3 and the key is just barely holding the gas coming out of the turns. If you find the right throttle, you maintain your speed and come out straight without spinning because you're not over-torquing. I still fishtailed a couple times in the race I won. Also, I spent 3 hrs yesterday doing this and couldn't do better than 4th, then I realized I had ASM on. Turn it off. for all events. You go much faster.

Trust me on this, if I can do it, any of you can, just patience and turn the assists off.

Can someone give me some pointers on the Elise? No matter what I do I constantly spin out upon accelaration (or brake almost to the point of stopping). Using a controller. Tried several set ups posted in the first thread. Any advice?

Th Fiat took me about 8 tries. The Elise the best I can get on fifth try is 4th. At least 11 seconds behind leader. Tried adjusting weight to the back, to prevent the spinning, still spinning. Adjusted the camber and toe angles, and so far a slight improvement, but no go.

Are poeple driving without aids on the Elise? Thanks.

Again, took a couple of attempts. Throttle control out of corners is the key. I had the lead car overtaken on the last hairpin on the final lap. Cant recall lap times sorry

WRX... still a work in progress :) I can get within 2 secs of the lead car at the moment... so back to the drawing board

I cant for the life of me beat any of these, Ive got 2nd on the fiat, and 4th on both elise and wrx. :(

I consider myself above average driver, as any online race Ive ever competed in Im always top 3.

EDIT: golded the fiat challenge. Used a mixture of tunes, won by 2 seconds

I just came on here to find some wrx tunes im struggling with it, cant believe all the huffing and puffing going on here, i got gold in both the fiat on my second attempt and the elsie on my third, I have overpowered them and then power limited them and brought the tranny right down to 100 on the fiat and 128 in the elise

I kept seeing guys asking for a real challenge and better money and now i see guys complaining thats its too hard..... oh dear oh dear! some of you guys are as bad as women you really are lol

I have to admit though the subaru is hard, or more that its hard to get the setup right, im about ten seconds off lead, I have made the car 90% rwd and put a 50kg ballast in the back now it handles how i want but im just lacking something yet

So far... 2.4 seconds behind 1st place. Personally love the feel of the car with these setting... just need to work on my driving I reckon

Sorry scrap that new to this guys but really struggling with the Elise done many setups no joy please help what is the best setup

Golded Fiat with 0.2 seconds, got silver from STI losing about 1.4 seconds. But what is the deal with that Elise, used to know a girl named Elise, she was a real pain in the a..s but still nowhere near as annoying as this fu..ing car.
Rather than learning how to master this vehicle, I´m about to remove all my lotuses from garage just because I can..

Done. Only 899 cars was left to garage.
