I am still learning how all this works. For tires it says we can use Hard, Mediums. But also required Hard.
Does this mean I must run at least 1 lap on a hard and go back to medium? See images

You must use racing hard tyres at some point during the race. When is up to you - it could be one lap only, at the start or end, or the whole race without using mediums at all, or anything in-between. As long as you drive at least one lap on hards at some point, you meet the requirements.
