It's not just THIS season. They ALWAYS do well. They're like the New York Yankees, Or Scuderia Ferrari, or Hendrick Motorsports: it gets tiring seeing them at the top year after year after year....

I mean, I'd think Boston knows what that's like, with the Red Sox...

They didn't last year. Remember the colts game when Brady threw an interception which lost the game.

I can understand, but the Yankees have been at the top of the game since.... well the world began pretty much. The Pats have just been doing well since about 2000 or so, so it isn't the same in my book.

Its not because of the perfect season. I've grown to hate them so much because of the attitudes of the players and coaching staff. They've become very egotistical and self involved. This is without me even mentioning the "spygate".

If they acted as a team instead of a bunch of individules self gratifying themselves to their own image and statistics I would not be so hostile towards them.

And don't say the dolphins because yes they had a perfect season, but not 18 games. Though they did win the superbowl, but w/e.

They had box seats. :P So I'm sure they didn't make any money. I think boxes cost like 10 Grand.

Not...When you live in Illinois. The White Sox are all we've got...the Cubs are cursed worse than the Devil Z...and I fear it's spread to the Bears..

Man, I said this at the beginning of the year: IF they Giants win the Superbowl, the Cubs WILL win the World Series. :lol: Fear not! (BTW: Yankees are gonna win it this year. :p)

I was just enjoying the Jay Alford/Tom Brady sack over and over again. It's great to record live HD TV and rewind when you want to. :D
 
Let me make it clear that I greatly dislike both the Patriots and the Giants, so I didn't care who took it this season...

As for the next?

If the Patriots were all that great, they should have been able to win every game. Who says the Dolphins couldn't have gone 19-0 given a few more games?

Hmm... A football player gets hit falls to the ground like a little Dutch girl lays there crying where as a hockey player can sustain a concusion and still gets up to go to the bench. Yeah... :rolleyes:

Whoooaah. You just lost all respect points on the topic of Football. You cannot compare the two teams. Different eras, and the Pats still didn't have a "perfect season" because their record is 18-1.

This hapless Lions will go 6-2 then 2-6 to finish up @ 8-8 next year missing the playoffs...again.

Wow I think I watched 2 minutes of the first quarter, decided it was lame after viewing the commercials, and turned on something else. Switching back I was graced with Tom Petty (who picks this entertainment?) and a halftime score of 7-3, figured it wasn't worth it and went out snowmobiling instead. I didn't find out who actually won the game until about 10 minutes ago when I flipped on the news.

As much as I figured the Patriots would have won, mostly due to special treatment by the refs to ensure a perfect season, I some how knew it wasn't going to happen...I guess the Giants scored right at the end or something?

Because the season wasn't as long. As I said in the other thread in the premo forum, who's to say that the Dolphins wouldn't have won a couple more games back then.

I'm sorry but the Patriots aren't going to be held in the same light as the '72 Dolphins. EVER.


And the Giants scored a good bit before then. The pats scored with like 2 mins left making it 10-14, so don't make it look like the Giants got lucky at the end.

You didn't say you were going to hold them in the same light but you did try and compare the two and they aren't comparable, they're in totally different classes.

I was just showing the Pats couldn't be better because three teams have won more Superbowls. Really I don't care that much, I'm a Broncos and Rams fan if anything....I know it's sad right?

Again, I said that because you said "only the best teams win those"

What was that supposed to mean, it's not like the patriots haven't won a superbowl before. I never said the Pats were better because they've won three.
