1.) I'm not sure if I'm surprised by the Lions because for a couple years now I've been saying that it's only a matter of time. I am surprised at how bad the Cowboys are doing. I am impressed and delighted at how well other teams have been able to come back against them.

2.) I want to say Seahawks, but people might call me on bias.

3.) Bills, I did not see that start coming.

1.) Who/What has impressed you the most so far this season?

Detroit Lions. I expected them to be better, I did not expect them to be this much better.

2.) Who/What has unimpressed you the most so far this season?

Philadelphia Eagles. They look terrible. Also the Patriots defense has been absolutely atrocious.

3.) Who/What are your surprises of the season?

Cam Newton. If you told me he'd have offensive numbers this far inflated 6 weeks ago, I would've tried to have you admitted. I'm also surprised that the Raiders look like they have some chemistry.

1.) Who/What has impressed you the most so far this season?
The Bills, I think we all pretty much expected Detroit to be contenders this year, but the Bills have really impressed me so far.
2.) Who/What has unimpressed you the most so far this season?
The Eagles, I now know why they are called the dream team, because they go to sleep in the 4th quarter.
3.) Who/What are your surprises of the season?
Again the Bills, and also Cam Newton.

1. The Dolphins can get all kinds of chunk yardage with Daboll's new offense. They struggled tremendously with this under the old coordinator. No more RB draws on 3rd and long.

2. The Dolphins can't score touchdowns and the offense stops once it gets in the redzone. Offensive line is atrocious. Linebackers are still terrible.

3. Biggest surprise is how bad the defense is. There is literally zero pass rush... I can't believe it.

This just in...

Al Davis, owner of the Oakland Raiders, has died at age 82. The Raiders are playing at my Texans this weekend, so I'm sure the black and silver boys will be playing with immense pride. No details on his death were disclosed at this point. Here is an article I found on Yahoo! Sports with a little insight on Al Davis:

How will YOU remember Al Davis?

Al Davis... the freak collector. Rest in peace, Mr. Davis, and thank you so much for everything you've done for football.

I'll always remember him for the way he fired Lane Kiffin.

Instead of writing with Sharpie on the Apple Stores' glass, fans everywhere have spray-painted graffiti and vandalized liquor stores. We'll never forget you, Hal.

Damn it to Hell!!! We lost 25-20 as Matt Schaub got picked off in the end zone with a chance to maybe run it in for a touchdown on the 4 yard line. I knew this game was not going to be easy considering the Raiders was our opponent. I was sure that the rain here in Houston as well as Al Davis' death were going to be damning factors for the Texans. A great chance to come from behind, but we failed. Now we're 3-2, possibly going 3-3 after Baltimore next weekend. Disappointing loss for the Texans. Defense kept us in the game, but the Raiders were surprisingly too much.

We (the Texans) failed. Again. How about you all?

The Bills are 4-1, the Colts are 0-5. Who's impressed you so far? What coaches are on the chopping block? Biggest shock? Bills. Andy Reid. Bills.

All week I had picked Texas to beat the spread on Oakland. The spread was 6.0 and I decided at the last second to change my picks and put Oakland over Texas.

1st place feels nice.

The Seahawks, despite having x2 more penalties and 2 big turnovers in the red-zone, ended up beating out the Giants IN NJ. Take that odds makers. That'll learn you.

I'm a little shocked. Really didn't think that would happen today.

As I said before, The Bills SHOULD be 5-0. In regards to the previous we we ALL know that the refs made some shoddy calls during the Bengals game. But this weeks win over the Eagles was pretty good. I beleive Bills won 31-24.

@slashfan Yeah the Bills won 31-24. Buffalo was clearly the better team. I knew Philly was overrated and this season has proved it so far. It doesn't matter how good your offense is when you turn the ball over that much.

Thanks be to Harbaugh.

Indeed.

With Vikings beating the Cards today, it seems that the Fins are now in the boxseat for the "Suck For Luck Sweepstakes".

The Raiders.... have been a HUGE surprise to me as well as the Bills and the Lions.

Well we still have to worry about Indy. Can you imagine Luck developing behind Peyton Manning? :(

This is a sweepstakes we need to win. SUCK FOR LUCK!

Glad to see the Chargers win yesterday.Stinks that Tolbert might have a concussion.I can't believe that bonehead Tebow almost beat us.If he actually knew how to throw the ball he might be dangerous.

Going to the Jets/Patriots game. Was a really good game.I was hoping to see the Jets out on top.One thing is grinding my gears is Tom Brady's attitude here lately.Last night he doesn't even go out and shake people's hands at the end of the game.On the other two games i've seen this season he has failed to do it.Brady has no sportsmanship at all. It's no wonder everyone hates the Patriots.

I found this video of Tim Tebow's release:

YouTube Link

Why release when you can barge into end zone?

Something with the Texans sometimes... after something bad happens to another team, we just lose. I remember when we had to play at San Diego after some wildfires or something impacted the San Diego area, we got our butts handed to in a blowout loss. Al Davis died over the weekend, and we fell disappointingly short yesterday. Almost at times like (some high authority) hates the Texans. Sad about this weekend is that all four AFC South teams lost. So we're still tops in the AFC South for now. But until we can play great and consistently play great, I'm STILL not buying we're going to win the division.

Bears at Lions TONIGHT!

Can the Lions remain unbeaten, or will the boys from Chi-town come in and tame the Lions?

Seriously though... Tebow throws a football like a freaking zulu warrior chucking his spear.
