Hell I've used the Cobalt since I've started and I'm still winning every race very easily.

Yeah, I guess you can use the starting car until you max out the tuning. I have the Cobalt, a Supra and I just bought a Mustang GT. I'm not using it yet though, I'm still gathering money with the Supra so I can tune the Mustang.

One of the great things in this game is the engine sounds, they're awesome.

I think im about to take on no.10. I currently own a IS300 (not very good, but i love 'em). A RX-8 from one of my rivals & my kick ass Supra.

Games getting better, all though i still loathe the handling, need to have a fiddle. Its stupid that they have a vearing problem. WEIRD!

thats what i was going to do when i start another profile, just use the same car as long as i can.

pause the game when you're driving, and go to "Performance Tuning" and you can tweak the car to your liking. so far i have been able to make every car i drive handle more to my liking.

DOH! i see youve already done that when i saw the previous page :dunce:

I'm on Black List guy like 9 or something and I can still beat every race with no problems.

what would be the easiest way to get more dosh?
Win the pink slips and sell the cars. If you really need money, make sure you do every race before challenging the rival, instead of just meeting the requirements and then challening him/her.

I don't really care about money though, I just use the cars I win to beat the next rival. Win his/her car, repeat. The Cayman S you win off #10 is effing awesome. I intend on using it to whoop #8's behind soon. :dopey:

You can also go back at any point in the game and complete the races you didnt do before. Just scroll up and down on the Blacklist Rivals screen to look at past rivals races ;) Im pretty sure its necessary to complete every one to get 100%

Yeah the Cayman is still in my garage, great car, wait till you get the Gallardo

i have a cayman s and what car should i get next? i want a 911 turbo s but i have only unlocked every car to the elsie, so after i have beaten the next rival (cant remeber the no.) what car should i get?

I got the cayman s just before I had to return the game ( I had rented it for a week ). God I loved that car in just stock form, the sound from the engine was just beautiful.

The Cayman S that I won had level 4 Heat for awhile since that's the only car I drove til I got to Ming. I turned off the autosave to make sure I got the Gallardo(as what I did for my other Pink Slip cars), and there's only one Performance part left to buy for it too(and it's unlocked). The Gallardo is a mean car(the engine sounds awesome) but isn't it AWD?? I find it to spin out and get sideways more than I'd like. I'm at like 59% in the Career not trying miss any races or milestones.

Ha my Cobalt is still better then the Caymen! Not by much but a just a tick better.

I never get rain when I play, like maybe every 3 or 4 races. But I think it has to do with the races you do or something.

so do you think i should keep the cayman till i unlock the gallardo because i love that car

Keep the Cayman S and put all the latest performance parts when possible. I was able to do all the races and milestones with it til a ran into #6-Ming on the Blacklist. I adjusted the Turbo for Acceleration to beat him, kinda easy.

@ Steeda - It's sunny with no rain for me 90% of the time.
@ BlazinXtreme - The races can be won with a STOCK Cobalt SS, even late in the game(I'm not tryin that yet with the milestones though). The opponents match their cars with yours.

Really? I didn't know that, hmmmm so what's the point of buying cars in the game then?

I have no clue, but it is an interesting fact. NFS:U1 was the same with car performance. The more performance you put into your car the more difficult the opponents get. I bought a stock Cobalt and tried doing the races to challenge Kaze (not the Tollbooths as you need the power and speed) and I finished in first. The thing is that it makes the races longer as the cars are slower than what you might have now. You might also have to enter and exit a race(doesn't matter the race) 2 or 3 times(it's a 1 time deal) so the game recognizes you're not in a higher performing car anymore.

nitro_2005
is it possible to re-challenge a rival?

Probably not, but why would you need to do that anyway?... You can restart a challenge as many times as you need to beat it... Just don't end the challenge until you beat it, and your good to go....

BTW, the one thing, so far, that bothers me about this game is that there is no replay option... Some of the drifts and close calls would look great in a replay, but alas, there is nothing... No way to view your race...

;)

I'd like to do that to get all the pink slips and all the bonus stuff. I'm not far into the game but I've not won a single pink slip yet and I've gone for the suprise items every time.

@ live check out this walkthrough it has all of the markers in it. Click it.

Only thing i've found is that alot of them (up to #10 at least) are incorrect for the pink slip with my version, however i get around this by doing the following:

Guide says

1. Question: Pink Slip
2. Question: Get out of jail for free
3. Question: Extra impound strike
4. Unique Visual Upgrade: Roof Scoop
5. Unique Part Upgrades: Hood
6. Unique Performance Upgrades: Suspension

So i choose #1 and get an impound strike, i then pick #3 and find that it's the pink slip I.E. some of them are reversed.

here's a list which i have come up with for finding the pink slips in the bonus markers. according to gamewinners.com, the first pink slip is the 2nd ? marker, then it goes to the 3rd ? marker for #14 and then returns to the 1st ? marker for #13 and repeats itself throughout. so the pinkslip order should go like this:

Blacklist #15 Pink Slip: 2nd ? marker
Blacklist #14 Pink Slip: 3rd ? marker
Blacklist #13 Pink Slip: 1st ? marker
Blacklist #12 Pink Slip: 2nd ? marker
Blacklist #11 Pink Slip: 3rd ? marker
Blacklist #10 Pink Slip: 1st ? marker
Blacklist #9 Pink Slip: 2nd ? marker
Blacklist #8 Pink Slip: 3rd ? marker
Blacklist #7 Pink Slip: 1st ? marker
Blacklist #6 Pink Slip: 2nd ? marker
Blacklist #5 Pink Slip: 3rd ? marker
Blacklist #4 Pink Slip: 1st ? marker
Blacklist #3 Pink Slip: 2nd ? marker
Blacklist #2 Pink Slip: 3rd ? marker

after you beat Razor in his ex-yours M3 GTR, you get the final challenge: a pursuit to get out of town. Sergeant Cross introduces a new heat level: Level 6, and he gets involved in his Corvette. To successfully finish Career Mode, you have to go over a huge jump which leads out of town. The best thing to do is to get your car up to full speed and use your nitrous to get there.

If you're worried about getting the pink slips for your opponents car DISABLE Autosave and BEFORE you challenge the rival SAVE. Race your opponent, choose the ? markers, and hope you pick the right one. If not, just LOAD the save and give it another shot. I know I'm not the only one doing this :scared: but I think this is a given method though for a game like this. I didn't get the Golf from racer #15 but I have gotten the rest of the cars. I just got JV's Viper and love it, and his pre-race intro is my favorite. Compared to the Corvette I won his Viper has much better handling, and the stats for the cars look to be the same.
