Why do people keep thinking this technology is used for generating tracks? It's not. It's for taking a car to a specific race track and to log it's movements around that specific track. The GPS track generator, if it really exists, is different technology and a different feature.

Just because they're both logging GPS data doesn't meant both have the ability to then generate a track from it. They're different software.

None of us are saying it's used for generating tracks (the GPS-visualizer) but rather saying it uses most of the same collection method therefore are assuming and hoping the track generator will follow suit shortly.

Along those lines, I'm hoping GT7 is 4K ready, cause, you know, its resolution, like 1080P.

Great now all I have to do is save up and buy a Nissan GTR Nismo. :lol: Is this similar to the one that's in the Toyota 86?:confused:

You're still not seeing what I'm getting at. Collecting GPS data is easy, anything GPS enabled can do it. You (or in this case PD) still need to create programs to interact with and use that data. Just because they've finished one app using GPS data in no way indicates they've finished a different app using it in a different way.

It won't be 4k resolution;

1. The PS4 (nor the Xbox One) isn't powerful enough to render in 4k
2. Current video cables aka HDMI 1.4 cannot support a 4k signal

I understand what you are getting at, yes they are two completely different components. But they are both promised features out of many yet to materialise in the game and it's now been out for 10months! So I meant, given the time GT6 has been available, as the gps-visualiser has been slated for a June release one can safely assuming PD haven't just been sitting on their backsides the past 10 months and been fiddling their thumbs! Hopefully now the gps-visualiser (developed by Nissan, Toyota etc) is ready PD have the course mker just about ready to coincide with the gps-visualiser, it's not like PD have been busy the past 10months, what they gave us some crappy game updates that mostly comprised of fixes? :banghead:

So I just want to make sure I understand... They still haven't delivered on any of the colossal amounts of content that they promised months and months ago for everybody, but now they're making more promises for more content only for those of us who can afford a new NISMO Skyline?

I didn't think it was possible for me to be this angry at a company... Totally done with PD.

Still you never know if they'll upgrade, because you know, it's resolution so it's sort of the same thing.

Can't wait to try this in a few weeks. You would think they would have shown the GTR NISMO in game by now... That's what I really care about. You cant have this feature without bringing that car to the game so its got to be happening shortly.

I will post some videos of how the feature works and how it ties in with GT6

So how many of these ponies are being produced? Is it a limited run and I've heard (correct me if wrong) the tracking is only available on a select few tracks of which only Japanese ones are up & functional. Also how often will the owners be able to utilise the full power of the car on track?

Does it come in man(ual) variety also?

So, Nismo GT-R Confirmed for GT6?

I wouldn't discard it completely given how awesome PD is acting recently.

Strangely, the GT-R shown in the trailer put up by @MCNAGTROC has a different mirror placement than the '12 GT-R, visible from the cockpit cam. The Black Edition GT-R has the mirrors placed a bit further backwards.
