So by the looks of this it is quite possibly a while of - depending on who's summer they are intending? Presuming Japan's?
Also I do not believe this will have any connection with the course maker as this is Nissan's thing not PD's

So we can reasonably assume that every new Nissan equipped with this technology will be added in the game as DLC?
Right?
Or.... This Toyota?

It's possible to create a track from that data, yes. But if you look on the website, this is NOT a planned feature. Comments like this just give false hope, and results in people getting angry at PD for not implementing a "promised" feature which wasn't promised at all.
In a future update, we will add the GPS Visualiser. This is a feature that allows you to import Controller Area Network (CAN), used to regulate automobile systems, and GPS coordinate data from a real life car into Gran Turismo 6, and visualise the data as a replay in the game. The feature is planned to be compatible with the Toyota Motor Corporation’s CAN-Gateway ECU.
I cant wait to test this feature out when I get mine July 31st!
fair enough ... I agree ... still both share GPS data, which was my point from the start ...The GPS data logger/visualiser is not related to the GPS track creator.
As some of you know when the NISMO GTR was announced there was news you would be able to record performance parameters & GPS data to recreate in GT6. That system is called "Nissan Connect NISMO Plus" and Nissan has posted their first teaser of it today. While the footage did not show any in game shots of the GTR NISMO you have to imagine it will be available as DLC as soon as this feature goes live in June

Live near Willow Springs and have access/permission to drive on the track?
these are nissan news, not polyphony, but the connection is obvious."Nissan Connect NISMO Plus", like, "Toyota Motor Corporation’s CAN-Gateway ECU", might be the "GPS visualiser" intended to GT. it is not the same as the mobile phone gps but its possible that it generates new tracks or layouts in the course maker since it does record gps data. would be strange to not use it. its not an obligation nor a PD promisse, but GPS visualiser, data logger and course maker, work better toguether, the 3 complement each other, so makes sense to imagine them in the same update. separated they are far less relevant. we have to wait for more official info about them to be sure about anything more than our speculations.
Actually, and I including myself made the same mistake/assumption this is also PD news too as the GPS visualizer is a GT6 advertised/promised feature - under "update" (bottom of page) http://www.gran-turismo.com/us/products/gt6/
Why do people keep thinking this technology is used for generating tracks? It's not. It's for taking a car to a specific race track and to log it's movements around that specific track. The GPS track generator, if it really exists, is different technology and a different feature.these are nissan news, not polyphony, but the connection is obvious."Nissan Connect NISMO Plus", like, "Toyota Motor Corporation’s CAN-Gateway ECU", might be the "GPS visualiser" intended to GT. it is not the same as the mobile phone gps but its possible that it generates new tracks or layouts in the course maker since it does record gps data. would be strange to not use it. its not an obligation nor a PD promisse, but GPS visualiser, data logger and course maker, work better toguether, the 3 complement each other, so makes sense to imagine them in the same update. separated they are far less relevant. we have to wait for more official info about them to be sure about anything more than our speculations.
Yep. It was fantastic! I had a blast driving the BMW VGT on it!Anyone remember the new circuit that we got in Febuary?
- first, as i said, we all have to wait for official news to know something else then our own speculations. Why do people keep thinking this technology is used for generating tracks? It's not. Just because they're both logging GPS data doesn't meant both have the ability to then generate a track from it. They're different software.
Because like I said, they're different features.
GPS Visualiser - Takes GPS data from a track and turns it into a virtual replay on an already existing track.
GPS Course Maker - Takes GPS data from (supposedly) anywhere and uses that data to generate a new track in game.
Why would they have two different features if they both were able to generate tracks? It makes no sense. Think of them like two different executable programs on your PC. They both use GPS data but do two different things with that data. They're separate apps very likely to come at different times. Just because one program/feature arrives using GPS data doesn't mean the other one will arrive as well.
