Yes and no, because the rule exists for more than just what you thought.
But it's more my opinion though indeed.

Prove that? ;)

No, but if you claim something, which people doubt, you kinda have to prove it, otherwise everyone will just go in circles (like this very thread here).

How much you prove depends on how much you care whether people believe you.

As far as rules of the forum though, nothing brought up yet has shown that what he did was in any way wrong. That's the thing, what you think he should do is only as valid as what he thinks he should do as long a neither of you break the rules.

You think he should prove it, he feels he has proved it enough... neither can really force the hand of the other.

Will PM a mod tomorrow if you want me to. 8)

True.
You think he should prove it, he feels he has proved it enough... neither can really force the hand of the other.

Right, that's the problem.

That's not my fantasy world, maybe yours but not mine that's why I said ( and you quoted) "take it at face value". If when I suggest taking info at face value you feel that implies that I believe or suggest to believe everything you read in message boards I'm baffled on how you would draw such an obviously incorrect conclusion. In life though we tend to draw the conclusions that we want to, usually to justify our own actions. Hmmmmm, lol.

I was pointing out that you were not properly interpreting the thread, and that the OP was the first to start with the personal insults. If you read through both what I wrote and the thread in its entirety and arrived at your conclusions above, you're beyond my threshold of patience to try to hold a civil conversation.

Damn Gtace is getting pwned and pulls the "I'm going to run and tell" card.

Just move on, the problem is not posting hearsay but people flaming members for doing so because they have a different opinion or disagree. Learn to take think at face value and move on.

Only a fool would think the OP broke any rule in the OP.

Not only that but everything stated in the OP has been Proven plausible.

Get over the Pig headed know it all attitude.

khj I look back and I see the first response being a sarcastic dig at the integrity of the info with no info to add and if the jerk got a response he was fishing for to ride a high perch, that's fine by me. Sorry but if you can't see through peoples pathetic digs it's really you who need end the discussion ( damn I'm doing to you what you've done to me, will you posted the constitution to see it, that is the question. I have no beef with you as I said before I wasn't talking to you, yet even after discovering this you continue.... Just move on.

Please read the posts. All 125 of them. There's no different opinion. There's no disagreement. There isn't a single one post said people will get banned.

Everyone knows nobody will get banned because of COMMON SENSE while criticizing "my cousin told me so" is not a plausible proof.

@khj94704. You speech to [name removed to protect the not so innocent] is an equivalent of preaching a toilet and hoping it won't 🤬 all over all again.

Yeah read up its not just the final outcome in question but also the reasoning behind it and some of the things going on with PD & PSN.

Dude practice what you preach go read up, seems you need to, but I think your just deflecting because you specifically were shown to have a faulty understanding of PSN accounts and how PSN works.

Please continue...

You know, that's what people incapable of real relationships do. Resorting to online trashing of people for no real valid reason.

Carry on.

My cousin has told me that clouds are made of marshmallows and I agree.

In any event, I also agree that exploiting glitches won't get you ban. But that's because of common sense.

Deflecting? Care to read post #2? You can start from there and continue to read the rest of them.

Here is the problem, if someone uploads a file lets say a car to megaupload which is 100kb. If a thousand people download the file it really doesn't matter to megaupload since people are not taking their network storage space. Now if a thousand people upload 100kb that takes 100,000kb of storage. This is also why many forums put a limit to banner size and other things they just don't want to spend more money for storage.

When people exploid the B-day gifting they were sending in conservative terms 8 cars per account which would be 800kb plus 1.3MB of space each account takes up. If somebody did this for 30 different accounts that would be 24MB in cars uploaded plus 39 MB. This would equal to 63MB per person.

Now,If you take into account that 2 weeks after the release of GT5 there were 4.1 Million new PSN accounts, it become obvious how costly this became to Sony and why it was address so quickly. When they implemented the limit to one day there were 9.7 Million PSN created an "insider" inform me. That people where complaining all day because they had reach the account limit in their console which is 56 accounts per PS3. The clever guys created accounts from the website and could still activate them in the PS3. This became such a common practice specially in Japan that there were people that had over 200 PSN ID associated to a PS3.

2.1MB X 13.8 Million New PSN ID's = 17.9 TB and that is not cheap!

The OP gives a explanation showing a understanding of how PSN works and some of the reasoning behind the issues at hand.

I humbly ask you to prove otherwise, ohh you can't, didn't think so, nothing but a bunch of hot air, all talk no action.

How is it remotely related to ban, not get ban, and how his cousin "said so"? Humor me.

My cousin has told me that nobody will get banned in the next couple of months. They have also come to the point were they will stop infinity ward from enforcing bans. I have never played their games and don't know what they did but they are looking for a solution to lift COD Black Ops bans. So people don't believe you will be banned for duping, or riding in circles. 👍

Now, please enlightening me. Put 2 and C together.

I humbly ask you to prove otherwise, ohh you can't, didn't think so, nothing but a bunch of hot air, all talk no action.

And by the way, you do know people have 256 accounts can still only log on ONE at a time, right? Has the same effect to the serve as someone has 1 account reboot the system.

Double by the way, most people already have multiple accounts since Day 1 because of the birthday ticket glitch. It's not like sub account was just invented in Feb 2011.

The ban no ban is the end result of the issues brought up in the OP the OP discusses more then just the ban the content is more extensive and just as important as the end result.

Again I will say people glitching are not following the terms of use agreement and it's understandable for them to question wether or not abusing the glitch could lead to potential banning. I've already seen in many post people concerned about getting banned for it wether or not you do (your opinion is irrelevant you do NOT speak on behalf of GTP). So keep flip flopping, you remind me of the big W. Bush. So what if the OP shared what he heard and he seems ALOT more well informed then you, you have brought nothing but negative energy to the thread. Hats off to you for great forum **cough**trolling**cough** I mean "patrolling" Great job! lol...

Man, PD really should stop giving out 800MB update for 6.1 million users. You might want to break out the calculator. The amount of money they spend can send another man to the moon.

No no no. Stay. We all delighted to have you. Did you finish calculating how many TB and how much it cost to deploy 6 updates yet?

I humbly ask you to prove otherwise, ohh you can't, didn't think so, nothing but a bunch of hot air, all talk no action.

Can't say the same. They are certainly not exquisite.

If this thread keeps on like this that topic title is going to be ironic, no? Man, this was an entertaining read and for the record I stand firmly behind the anonymous cousin PSN help desk technician whatever!

Okay so I have to spell it out for the lame few.

When an update of 800mb is posted they only store 800mb not ( and this is absurd) 800mb x # of users ( sheeeeeesh) it's the same 800mb for everybody.

Dame the calculator? You need a calculator to multiply 800mb x 1? Sorry I gave you more credit then that, my bad.

You only further display you're lack of understanding, so keep it up, I'll stick around just for you. Still waiting on you to bring anything other then a distorted understanding to the discussion. Heard anything from your cousin and those marshmallow clouds? I got the chocolate, gram crackers and FIRE, lol.

Ohh, the sarcasm of my last post seems to elude you ( I only say this as your reply infers you agree as if no sarcasm and then directly goes at my post countering it) so I'll say it straight, there is nothing exquisite about you're post, more ore less Internet diarrhea.

I really do think your awesome, lol.

Talk about a facepalm... The storage is dirt cheap. I take that back, bags of fertilizer at Home Depot are more valuable than storage. The bandwidth is what costs money. The capacity (or lack thereof) is what brings networks like PSN to a crawl, not the lack of hard drive space. If you didn't know that...

Honey.......... go make me some popcorns this here in GTplanet is getting very interesting :dopey::dopey::dopey:

I agree. Major facepalm moment. Explaining to him is a serious waste of my time.

800mb x 1. That's EPIC. Hahaha...

Exactly, and just doing some rough math tells me that if the avereage user pulls 1GB at $.05 per GB for 14 million users, thats $700k...

But but but... I thought it's 800mb x 1 so it will be less than $.05.

Isn't a glitch in COD Black Ops got many people ban? If you believe clouds are made of marshmallows, I'm impress you know how to write.:) That must be a real achievement for you, so keep up the good work. One day you will be normal intelligence.:sly:

Er, and this because a Call of Duty forum when?
Also, why would a customer service guy who takes phone calls know anything about the inner-workings of GT5?

logrr.jpg

I have no idea how this has gone for this long. The only reason why he informed me they are not going to be any bans was because I called him before I did it, to be on the safe side. The duping, b-day glitch was discuss previously. I decided to start this thread because many people were stating that bans were going to be issued. Using duping and b-day glitch would not cost anyone a ban since is primarily not done in the PSN. There was a risk in doing SS7 exploit for the reason you are in the PSN, and you are somehow taking advantage of people who have no idea what you are doing.

It is not COD forum. It only happens that people were being permanent ban for taking advantage of an exploit. My cousin is no customer service guy he is an assistant manager that happens to train PSN techs. He knows when things will go up because they receive the schedule of what will be going up and they make sure everything is working correctly. I have no idea why people assume he is a customer service guy.
