Nokia N90

Saw one of these videos running around. Looks Like this phone has a superb quality camera. What do my fellow friends here think about this phone overall. ;)

Hasn't got as good a camera as the Sony Ericsson W800 apparently, but still looks like a nice gadget. The D/L rate on that video is rubbish, cancelled it, what's the jist?

It's a video of two lovely ladies watching a bar tender do stunts with the drink bottles at a club and ultimately screwing up and knocking over the drinks behind him. The catch is that the video is filmed entirely with the N90 without any enhancements.

I want the N90 so bad. Hopefully, it reaches the states by Christmas.

Ooo that classic advertising technique ;) I remember the first widely available digital video camera was used to films its own tv advert too.

So the video quality is good, as it should be really as it looks like a DV cam, but will you really use the video much? Won't you just use it a bit and then realise that there isn't much to video when you're sitting in front of your pc?

I will only ever get a phone for its camera quality if it also has aperture and shutter priority as well as manual focus (NOT fixed focus).

GTRacer4
Isn't that just an O2 XDA II?

Also, the N90 doesn't have a vibrate function.

As someone else pointed out in another thread, i think the withdrawal of vibration feature was to do with the camera. Still annoying nonetheless. Well i guess with all those new features the loss of vibration will be a drop in the ocean.

Found a real life Nokia N90 picture. Compared to the P910 it is quite small, well smaller than thought at least lol.

OMG, Nokia just announced three more N-Series smartphones: the N71 (clamshell), N80 (candybar), and N92 (dual folder). All three are 3G, the N80 and N92 are wi-fi enabled, and the N80 has a 3 megapixel camera.

And the US doesn't even have the N90 yet...

Yeah those phones look pretty specced up lol. N91 hasn't even been released yet. N92 also has a unique design as you can also flip it as well as view it in personal organiser style. I was also wandering why nokia release their phones in threes lol, there was 7260, 7270, 7280 and 7360, 7370, 7380. Might be more!! ;)

The N90 is a sick phone. how much will this phone cost brand new when it comes out. The primary display screen is awesome TFT, 256K colors
Size 352 x 416 pixels and i like the way it twists although it looks kinda dodgy(easily broken)

Too much...

Around $900 unlocked. Maybe around $400, if picked up by a carrier like Cingular, Verizon, or T Mobile.

$900 dollars unlocked. This phone is really pretty expensive. Is it really worth all that money?

Yes, it will be worth it. The girls will flock to you for having the coolest phone ever.

The 6256i is a Verizon CDMA phone.

Saw an N90 today, it was my friends friends one. He let me have a look at it and to be quite frank apart from its exterior design i don't see why it is so pricey. The 'Carl Zeiss' camera failed to impress me, i reckon my W800i's camera is better than it lol as shown by gsmarena.

Nokia N90 Vrs Sony Ericsson W800i camera quality.

Well you know what i mean lol, anyways just saying that the Carl Zeiss business has been hyped up.

using the carl zeiss name on it is just a marketing ploy! The k750i has the cyber shot U's 2.0 mega pix camera module of which the lens is probably made by zesis anyway (because sony's cameras use them)......whatever it is the quality should be judged not by the lens but by the capture technology.....

BMW X5.....that link you gave was an interesting read! im guessing the w800i is absolutely the same camera as the k750i?

Cheers man
And yes i think the 'Carl Zeiss business' could well be a marketing ploy. As for the W800i and K750i lens being the same, i think thats true. I never knew that Sony's used Zeiss's, interesting info!!

The N90 is a solid phone, it's got tonnes of things on it, pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? Well that depends on what you'll use it for. But the actual phone is superb, BUT, I managed to get a Sony Ericcson P990i not too long ago, they're on sale here in January and imo, the P990 is better.

The P990i is a brilliant phone, just checked out its reviews and specifications and it really is all rounded. I also actually prefer this to the N90!

That P990 does look very impressive. Symbian 9.1, Bluetooth, 802.11b, and 3G. It even uses Memory Stick Pro Duo cards. Since I'm already locked into that format because I own a PSP, it seems logical to use that format for all of my devices.

But, you know what? I'm tired of the bricks.

My 3600 is a brick if you ever saw one. I really want a clamshell form factor. The N90 is still #1, IMO.
