If the disc craps out on its own accord, can u take it back and demand a new one( i you have a reciept)? or does it just depend on where you bought it from?

Retailers are all the same - you can demand anything if you know what buttons to push. Make a scene, swear a bit, ask for the manager, and tell them you'll never set foot in that shop ever again. That usually gets some action. Also, try and talk to someone who looks like "The New Guy", it's really easy to confuse them and get them all flustered. They don't want to stuff up in their first week or two...

I suppose it would depend on the condition of the disc - if it's scratched or had grooves in like mine did - then they'd probably tell you where to go! If it was undamaged, then no problem

haha that will have to be done. You cant go to far though, or security will be called. So yeah, yell at the new guy, coz he wont know how to contact security..lol

Where I buy my games, I can get insurance for GT4. It's funny. If the game doesn't work sometime within the three months prior to purchase, I get a new copy.

It happens to my GT4 once in a while, it freezes after the warning screen. I push reset and than it loads fine.
Try and switch off the intro movie, maybe that helps for some.

And also my PS2 did made scratches on the GT4 disc, I could hear the lens smacking into the disc "CLICK" noise.

If your PS2 is out of the warranty period... open it and clean it on the inside, it helped for me.

i'll just buy the new one wait till my new ps2 gets here, oh and yeah my disc does have those circular scratches in the middle around the rim of the center.
