Doesn't the Supercharger remove the Turbo anyway? Seeing as you can't have both?

It should. I had everything else installed as well. I really don't what went wrong there.

Anyway, I'm currently doing some hotlapping on the 'Ring with my current tune (255BHP & Racing Soft). Got an invalidated 7'13-ish laptime. My goal is atleast a high 7'03. Wish me good luck.

:scared:

I was just going to post that I got a 7:22 out of it. I'll post my set-up tomorrow to see how it compares to yours.

wow nice do you have a good tune for that car. struggling to find any?

I did change the suspension a lot, which did provide a massive improvement to the lap time, can't be too sure if it's the best setup since I tuned it to my handling preference :dopey:

One thing that did make a large difference is the gearing. I watched the onboard vids of the real R10, where they seem to use only the 3rd, 4th and 5th gears. I did the same thing by setting gears 1 & 2 as short as possible and spreading out gears 3, 4 & 5 equally. It seems to give better acceleration since it allows the engine to rev close to the maximum torque level ;)

Sure thing. As of now, I've got 7'12'950 as best but not good enough though. Just beware those goddamned curbs. They are a major pain in the ass. I've lost count how many time they've killed my Caterham.

Edit : New time with a rather sloppy driving and a slight mistake in the transmission settings - 7'07'820. There's atleast a second, well actually 3 seconds of improvement [1] [2] to be done here. Ouch.

Edit 2 : YES! YESSSSSSSSS! Fiiinallllyyyy! I've beaten the guy in the video above by .218 (7'04'250). My final time is now 7'04'032. Many thanks due to tweaking with the final gear which resulted in a higher top speed, especially on the final straight.

I'll post both setup, pictures and video when I've got some sleep.

Nice! :)

one more:

7:58.524 - Spoon CIVIC TYPE R (EK) '00 (mike_gt3) NEW
Only did 2 laps, theres definatly more in it but i think it was a not too bad lap.

Guys what do you think about the new physics? I've done some tests this morning and found that I'm slower than before the update with every car! Can anyone test this out?

I will test the LFA @ Nurb in a few hours time 👍 :D

Great man, thanks :) I'll accept your friend request as soon as I turn on my PC, the iPad I'm currently using doesn't allow me to do that

People! How is Nür Spec 2.0 !!!???

discuss! (fine, you're all busy playing, good enough reason)

Spec 2.0 LFA - 07:10.413 :dopey:

Quite different, harder in a way - easier in a way. Much more fun though!! :) Loving the new physics!!

Well since no one posted a time yet on Kaz 24h Nürburgring car I thought I'll give it a shot. :)

Race/Non-production ALL STOCK

I actually drove that car around as well :dopey: Nice to drive and is rather quick! However, I did change the suspension settings, so my time will go into the other racing/non production board. I did keep the stock tyres though :)

Just a reminder Matteume, you have to put your GTP Username in the brackets, not your PSN name ;)

I was pushing rather hard through the corners, but the car is still unusually relaxing to drive. It doesn't feel like I'm even trying to go quick :D

I'm on my phone so cannot update the spreadsheet :dunce:

Same here, harder to drive and easier in some way,

I was driving the AEM S2000 and couldnt really control it well when ''drifting'' out of corners on previous physic, it was losing grip brutaly. Now i can control it its a LOT more fun! but still have to be careful, if i drive too agressive i cant match my previous time.

Id say its about the same, may gains some tenths on bumpy area but you cant really take corners faster, you just have better control pushing it to the limit, but you may end going slower if you push too much...

So far i really like the physic change!

Now the question, should we reset the spreadsheet?
I dont think it is necessary, some car may be faster, some not, i did another lap with the SPOON Civic and it was fender to fender from start to finish vs the old physic, just feel more realistic, its weird.

:)

Yeah, weird (but so much more fun). I agree though, no reason so far to totally reset the table. Maybe just add Spec 2.0 or something to the new times that are updated/added now after the update. Maybe even leave the old, pre spec 2 time on another column if it's beaten? Could give some example of the performance difference between the specs after a while..

Yeah i dont see a problem doing that, its still new and i need to slightly relearn the new physic. Couldnt keep pace with my AEM S2000 time, i was pushing too much even if i was keeping control. :)

btw, need to still compare the replay, but while I was driving it felt like the LFA was geared shorter after spec 2.0. Not 100% sure, will check tonight.

Aha, thanks for the reminder, I didn't know that. :)
Good lap btw!

Im back every body! I took a month out to play other games, realised that there are no other games and got back just in time to take Kaz's gtr around the ring. That car is a piece of art! It sticks to the road like glue even on ss tires!

Mike, can you give a try with the McLaren F1 when you can? I found very hard to control the car with the new physics and by far my new best record is a 7:07, 8 seconds off my old record :indiff:

7:07!!

Wow! ok i will give it a try tomorow, i normaly run better time during weekend though, my job use all of my focus during week!... im old!! haha

If im slower by similar amount, wich will probably happen, we will need a different column for the spec II physic in the spreadsheet.

:)

I dont know the F1 specifically but, Ive found you have to be much smoother with MR cars on the 'ring in general post spec II. The times are comparable but you have to be smooth.. particularly in the karoussel.

The biggest difference I've noticed is in the first sector before the first straight, and by far I have problems only with the McLaren. Just tried the 458 Italia and it feels different from before, but it's still as fast as pre 2.0, my best before 2.0 with the 458 was a 7:14.7 and now I've just done a 7:14.9, 0,2 to me is a small difference and there is room for improving that. The McLaren is a lot more nervous and it punishes you at every little mistake.

Ahah don't worry mate, I know job can take all the energy out of you sometimes! Anyway I'm happy that with the 458 I'm almost fast as before, I was scared when I tried the Mclaren and gone 8 seconds slower XD

Good job on the 458 italia! did the car felt different? cant wait to try the McLaren!
:)

The general behaviour of the car seems the same to me, stable and fast as usual, what I found very different from pre-spec 2 is the weight transfer, suspension movements and how the car react when you pass on a kerb. They seems more similar to the real life... To me the biggest difficult by now is with the McLaren, but I've done just 3-4 laps due to lack of time, maybe I'll try again tomorrow :)

i tested the McLaren F1 with the new physic, 1st thing i noticed is how much smoother it is, but it is still hard to drive in same time, in a more realistic way though. I think it is easier to keep it on track, i enjoyed the car a lot more than on previous physic, the car have less oversteer on braking and feel more planted, where the previous one would just spinout at very little input of throttle or when the car got out of balance. It still do that if i go too slow and apply too much steering.. i had to take corners slightly differently, still need practice.

i did some errors, i was quicker on the first half of the track at the beginning of the night, the more i kept driving it, the worst i was...lol

Still managed a decent lap at the end, went too fast in 2 corners that cost me a few tenths.

I was not expecting that, but i did 6:56.420 so far, will try some more laps to see if i can do a cleaner lap.

I never thought the new physic would be that good/fun, completly change my mind on some cars, i think ill try the RUF Yellowbird! it was my cryptonite so far! really had trouble getting under 7:40... cant wait to give it a try. :)

So, maybe is just me that have to get used to the new physics lol, with other cars I found that they are more planted and behave more realistically, just with this one I can't go as fast as I was before, maybe I just need practice :)

Can I report this? Holden Commodore SS'04 8:44.430 ABS 1 all others off, did it on a G27 the car is stock standard only oil change :)
