Not the best time ever, but just goes to show, with a fully modded road car, a master setup and some "awesome driving skills", everything is possible

Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 Superveloce '09 - Seasonal Events - World Circuits Tour

This won't count:

1. You did this on the 24H layout.
2. You did this in a race and not Arcade mode/practice.

I'm not going for gold here dude, just making a point, that with a fine tuned road car and some "master driving skills", you can beat the big guns, or race cars to you, around this track

Apologies if that bothered you that much 👍

It doesnt bother him, but it has nothing to do with this thread other than you wanted to brag about your skills. You are still welcome to post lap times that meet the requirement. :)

Please make sure you fill your lap time correctly, you can see it on the first page of this thread or on the spreadsheet. :)

LOL  thanks, I will, but for this one, didn't know where else to put it and as this is Nurburgring, I thought it'd be ok.
Still... great skills, hey? 👍

Id have to try it, only ran the 24h version a few times during races.

Heres some new ones:

12:21.045 - Gran Turismo RACING KART Jr. (mike_gt3) NEW
09:23.817 - Gran Turismo RACING KART 100 (mike_gt3) NEW
09:12.039 - Gran Turismo RACING KART 125 (mike_gt3) NEW

The new karts and new physic are awesome! it was a blast trying to push the KART 100 and 125! the force feedback make it really challenging.

The JR. had 104kmh top speed hitting a rev limiter
both the 100 and 125 had 141kmh top speed, but the 125 have more agressive sound , mid range power and handling.
Edit:

Still working on it but:

06:56.186 - McLaren F1 '94 (mike_gt3) UPDATED
On one of my last attempt i was 0.784 in front when i lost control a little after the Karoussel... aarrgh!! lol

Now that the standard cars have cockpit view, I've been driving them more often :D

07:38.342 - Acura DN-X Concept '02 (zedextreme8177) - BEATEN
Handles more like an MR than a 4WD car :dopey: Fantastic to drive, good acceleration, though the top speed is somewhat limited.

07:38.653 - Honda DUALNOTE Concept '01 (zedextreme8177) - NEW
Some differences to the Acura version, has a rev limit at 8500rpm (1000 more than the Acura), and longer gearing. As a result, acceleration is a bit slower, but the top speed is increased. Oh and handles just like the DN-X (which means awesome 👍)

Loving the new physics so far! It feels like I'm more connected to the car than before

SPREADSHEET IS HERE

Getting closer to my limit with the McLaren F1 i think, still did some slight errors but i am happy with the lap!

:dopey:

Once again I've noticed when updating parts of the OP I've seen people putting in the spreadsheet cars that should not be there, such as a fully tuned IS-F RM in the Racing category.

Also, when posting the car name please put it in exactly as it is found in the game to avoid ambiguity.

Thx for the hint Bonobo, its probably my error. :)
Its fixed.

06:44.498 - Mine's BNR34 SKYLINE GT-R N1 base '06 (mike_gt3) BEATEN

I had to try it on the new physic, and it is much more fun to drive!👍 sorry manuelos at first i just wanted to see if i could beat my 7:48, after beating it on the second lap i just couldnt stop running until i was pleased with the lap. :)

Hmm, I think I'm able to do a 06.46, when I'm very lucky a high 06.45 :sly:
No way I'm going to beat your 06:44.498 👍

Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce - 6:23.899
And I'm sure I could do a little better than that :)

and let us know if it is fully tuned on which tires(i know its fully tuned on racing soft... but for futur post.)

:)

3:12.791 - Gran Turismo Red Bull X2011 Prototype (csdts) - NEW

It's not very good yet.
I challenged it as a comparison with x2010 .

07:14.919 - Lexus LFA '10

With ABS=0 ..was really hard to get a good clean lap, but I got better at braking! :D (never really driven without)

06:11.22 - Nissan GT-R GT500 Stealth (NobleAtreides)

courtesy of Kaz free redemption code.
https://www.gtplanet.net/free-nissan-gt-r-gt500-stealth-model-in-gran-turismo-5/

All Aids off, ABS 0, Brake Balance 3/3 G25 paddle shifting. Softened suspension a tad for this track. LSD 9/34/9 , Toe -(negative).14 / +(positive).29 , ARB 3/4 RH +1/+1 , springs 13.3 Front & Rear, Dampers 6/4, 5/6, Tranny FD altered for 340KM Top. Nür Rail car with attitude that is tamed under the throttle. Can take most all high speed corners 99.9% flat out as long as car is aligned properly. Pump brake pedal prior race start for full brake pedal saturation, now fixed with Spec 2.0 , ABS @ 0 is wonderful now. Edit, forgot, Aero Downforce: FR: 2 notches from max, RR: 3 notches from max.

I lol'd at repair cost for this car, as I never had a stealth car before.

Lambob, next time make sure you type your GTP account username.

Tu est de Mtl ? cool ca, moi rive-sud :)

Drove this to compare to the real one:

real:

Stock car, oil changed & fully broken in (Sport Hards). ABS=0, tried to keep it as clean as possible. Didn't have full throttle on the long straight as I didn't want to overshoot the speed the real car did on it's 7'14.. (It seems I still got a little too much speed there, my bad)

Did one mistake and almost overshoot one corner, you might notice it :D Stupid of me, I didnt watch the real lap close enough and see that the time is cut of a bit earlier than in GT. Still, I don't think I could do much better with these tires. If I'd want to do more exact replica of the lap, I'd need more sticky tyres.. with sport hards you need to push the car a little too much for the time to be comparable (so the look as far as grip goes doesn't match imo).

Yeah its weird, it seems like tires dont have as much grip as in real life but we also go faster in the straight line. I seen a video where an Enzo got 308kmh on the straight, and it can go beyond 330kmh in the game...

Nice video! :)

Heres a new lap for the racing/non-production:

06:31.849 - AEM S2000 (mike_gt3) BEATEN
Its a lot of fun to drive!

I think the air resistance is not modelled correctly on the game (??). Could be one explanation. Also the limiting factor of the car fighting lateral forces (for speed) seems a bit off... I think I'll do more exact replica with sports softs some day.. to get the feeling of grip to match.

Salut Mike, enchanté. T'es tres bon avec tout tes temps, sera tres cool pour se joindre pour un petit enduro un jour.

It could also be that we get more speed coming out of the corner just before the straight. It can greatly affect the maximum speed done. Also, real life-tyres on sports cars are usually equivalent to Comfort Mediums/Softs, see the Mercedes Event for example :odd:

And a friendly reminder to the poster above
