How do I unlock Nordschleife? I got all silvers in AMG Academy but I haven't unlocked it yet anyone know how?

I haven't unlocked it yet either but since scoring gold in the top gear challenge rewards you the top gear test track I'd think you have to score all golds. Not sure though, would be nice if someone could confirm this.

I just golded the Level 6 ones and you just get photomode locations.

I only got bronze on the first top gear challenge and unlocked the track. I had heard the Mercedes challenges unlock Nordschleife and so I was doing those. I got bronze on everything in the beginner challenge (i'm not good at this stuff okay?) and didn't unlock the track. I have a feeling you need to complete intermediate as well though. That is what a few other players were thinking when we were talking about this earlier.

Just completed the intermediate and got it unlocked, apparently it's enough to just complete it and you dont need to score gold.

You need all Bronze for the Intermediate Challenges to Unlock the Nurburgring nordscliefe.
4hour layout for silver
24hr layout for gold

See, this is annoying. Basically, unless you are really good at this game you will never be able to use these tracks. With enough time I could do it but I know it will frustrate the hell out of me. I want to be able to, when I have a spare 10 mins, do a lap of Nordschleife in Arcade mode in time trial. Polyphony, stop all the elitist BS and just let us non 'uber' racers have access to them too pls. If you want to appeal to the masses you need to be a little more forgiving.

Since when do you have to be an "uber-racer" to pass an intermediate event with bronze medals?

The bronze times should be more than easy to achive. Just try to drive clean and you should get it easily.

I passed it with bronze and still don't have access to the track. Same with the Top Gear test track, all bronze on beginner and intermediate and still no access to either track in practice or arcade. I am assuming it wants gold on all of them.

The markers for bronze trophies are usually very generous tbh, and if all the tracks were available from the start there wouldn't be any motivation to play the GT mode

Bronze should be possible, but if it mandatory to finish intermediate at Gold to get the 24h-layout it is a really hard challenge for some users. I think that is a little bit too much.

IMHO there will be some kind of DLC in the future, that will give cars/tracks to users that can not unlock everything with their driving-skill (like me at the moment^^).

Anyone thought also that beginner is harder to achieve gold than intermediate?

At beginner i got silver at the first try (always 2-5 sec slower than gold) and on intermediate i am 1-0.5 sec faster than gold on first try??

Same for the liscences : some are really hard (a- mini slalom) others are plain simple (a- s schumacher)?

But at least it will need some work to get gold everywhere :D

Yeah gold on all intermediate AMG is pretty stiff. I will be able to do it, but I only started using a wheel yesterday so it will take me some time to gold that sucker. All I wanted to do when I got GT5 was go into arcade, grab a family run about and hit the ring. DENIED!

And yes I agree that the beginer events are harder than indermediate for AMG.

no no, top gear i golded the beginner and it said: "top gear test track unlocked in .... and practice mode, for getting a gold in a special top gear event".

I guess it's the same for amg school...

Top Gear Test track requires a gold in either of the events AMG Nurb requires completion of intermediate at any level - slightly different.

Damn it. I doubt I would ever get gold on the top gear one. So tricky.

I thought the same but last night I set myself an hour aside to beat it and if you drive clean and find the ai's weak spots and use the slipstream it is easily passable.

Golf should never be required to unlock anything - IMHO. I rarely get golf. After all, I'm 65 with reduced-speed reflexes and all the other problems that come with age. I still enjoy video games, however, and I still have to pay full retail just as younger players do. That's why I am forced to get things like GameShark to unlock the tougher items - when I really shouldn't have to. I'd rather pay the extra $35 to the makers of the game and get a more straightforward way to unlock everything!

Hear me, game creators?

I consider myself an average to good player but it has taken me 6 hours today to get gold on the intermediate 'full lap' challenge. Fair enough, I am using no aids or abs which might make things more difficult but it was incredibly hard!

Okay, I've looked and there aren't any help threads for the AMG challenge, so... Does anyone have any tips on the beginner sector 2? I've just started using a G27 and I've gotten my time down to about 3 seconds over gold time, so I must be messing up pretty major somewhere. I've tried following the demo, but no luck, any tips?

You completed the AMG Driving Academy (intermediate) Special Event with all bronze trophies.

The Nürburgring Nordschleife is now available in Arcade and Practice mode.

No idea if there is also 8 hour and 24 hour versions.

Got a Silver in the SambaBus, Bronze in the 111R and Gold in the Kubelwagen and I don't have the Top Gear Test Track unlocked here. :(

This is why I hate unlockables. It segregates the gamers into, those that are good enough to get the whole game for £45 and those that aren't.

If they want to give you things to unlock, then they should be trivial, cosmetic items... wheel rims, body kits, paint colours etc... but certainly not fundamental parts of the game, i.e. cars and tracks.

If they insist on using cars and tracks, then they should require the absolute minimum requirements to unlock them, which is a bronze award. Instead of doing 1 gold, they could do a specific collection of 3 bronzes.

Gamer loyalty, not gamer ability... be fair to all gamers.

No offence but some games are targeted at the more casual audience while others aim to please the advanced crowd. In my opinion after all the updates this GT is the easiest by a mile of all the previous instalments.

Leverage in GT is achieved by mostly barely restricted a/spec races and seasonals that pay huge amounts of CR.

It alienated the hell out of me when PD introduced moron AI in one of the updates.

To be fair the 'real driving simulator' tag hints GT is biased to the more core players.

So terribly sorry, but (Japanese) video games used to be difficult and I like this.
