Noticed something with tire sounds

I wish there'd be adjustments among [engine's mechanical/exhaust], [transmission] & [tire/track surface/suspension], or even [wind]... Arranged like a mixer with several levers for each category would be nice.

And all noises shall be increased after the lightened body mods, since the insulation material should be removed.

Unfortunately all these wishes are nearly impossible at this stage. And, I hope PD optimize the visual problem first, i.e. the frame rate issue.

Tire sounds are generally louder than previous GTs, but I do think it's a good thing, especially for driving without aids (TCS & ABS). The tire sounds work together with improved physics and FFB. The whole 'perception package' delivers a very nice driving experience IMHO.

On some race cars, I really hope the barking exhaust can be quieter to let me hear the tires. Their high limit with narrow operating range is really tricky without enough information of grips. Such combinations make me feel less enjoyable driving them.

I'd love this sound mixer idea to be implemented.

Has anyone noticed that tires always screech? Specifically at Le Mans 2013/R18 Red Sonja/Racing Mediums/no downforce/595hp-910kg-medium turbo/ ??

I can faintly here it going down the straight on the hood view, which shouldnt be so.. if anything, it needs a whole revamp that car...

PD hasn't correctly modeled sound insulation in the interior of a car yet.

Actually it seems as if tire sounds get to by pass the whole sound dampening that PD uses on engine and exhaust notes. Switching viewpoints the engine notes and exhaust notes change and inside the car you can really notice that most cars it's quite muffled aside from low end grumbles. Tire noise omg they come through loud and clear regardless of viewpoint, that needs to change and soon. Things need to reflect what you would actually hear in a car when driving especially when in the car, tire noise shouldn't be intruding so loudly and over the engine/exhaust notes in loud powerful cars. Funny thing though, Racing tire noise is quite a bit less noisy than street tires.

Indeed, most machines do sound muffled, but not as accurately as it would be depicted in real life. The LFA for example.

However, the tyre noise is a heinous offender.

That might be something they'll have to do with outside help, like with tune shops to get the filtering right so they can change it and get the acoustics right. They do have positional audio so well done but PS3 is literally quaking trying to deal with all that audio. I'm amazed they could get that many sounds streaming so clearly until those tire sounds crank up and drown out everything good about sounds. Since GT2 tire sounds have been getting louder and more intrusive.
