I wish they had the NSX-R GT or the Spoon NSX-R GT as premiums in the game.

Mugen NSX-RR concept would have been nice, too.
 
The NSX-R Prototype was amazing in GT4, perfect handling! I'd say it's the same in GT5!

I was surprised at the lack of tuned NSXs in the game given the number of tuned S2000s and the like. There are a ton of race versions of course, but not much in the way of tuned street versions.
 
Speaking of which, also disappointed they only put the 91 Acura. I was hoping for the 99 Zanardi, at least. And no reason at all the used Acuras should be standards... same damned interior as the 91 Acura.
 
Then, can you grade the NSX-R of the game?

NSX Type R '02
NSX Type R '92
NSX-R Concept '01
NSX-R Prototype LM Race Car
NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car

I assume that the best is NSX-R Prototype LM Race Car and in second place
NSX Type R '02 or NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car?
 
Is it just me, or does this car(specifically the Type R '02) require more frequent oil changes?
 
I don't like my street NSX's to have downforce, they don't need it. And wings just ruin the look of them.
 
My only complaint about the NSX has been that PD hasn't put in the realistic allignment values for the standard suspension. Lack of camber makes the grip loss unprogressive.
 
I prefer the 90's NSX-R

I suspect he's talking about the Formula 1 cars which did have Honda engines. The F1 GTR though did have a BMW engine.

Gordon Murray used the NSX as the yardstick to measure against his McLaren F1, and even went to Honda to source its engine -- but they refused (d'oh). Ultimately, the BMW powerplant made its way into the car. I think that's what he's on about.

Wasn't so much they refused but couldn't match the specification requested. BMW couldn't match the requested HP either but did manage to make the engine much lighter.

Sorry mate the Mclaren used a new engine from BMW, im sure it was 2x6 cylinder M3 engines mated together but cannot confirm that bit.

Op yes cracking car, I love all the NSX cars.

In his first post [no. 100] it gives the impression that the F1 has a Honda engine, hence my reply, since then it has been clarified. As there was no mention in post 100 about the Honda engine not being used, It is you that is twisting his words to make it look that way and it was me that posted the link you refer to, Honda-Crz has made no refference at all that the honda engine was turned down. As you can see fron above, Again this all came to light after i posted the link. 👍:)
 
The only thing I do not like about the 91 NSX is not the car itself, but the glitch associated with it after the RM. Even in online races with damage off, the car progressively drives like it is damaged. After pitting in full damage races, it still drives like it is damaged. Again, this is not a problem with the car itself, but a glitch which I hope PD fixes soon, as the car is a monster and so much fun to drive.
 
I must add the nsx-r is a good all-round car very very good handling I use one for track use and another for drifting. You point the nose where u want it to go and it goes some car
 
NSX-R is an incredible piece of machinery. Love the thing. 👍

I thought BMW managed to exceed the power requirement? I think Gordon Murray only wanted 500 or so bhp, the BMW throws out over 600 - I'm sure he was pretty pleased with that at the time! :p

The engine is indeed supposedly based on the architecture established in the E36 M3's engine, rather than any existing BMW V12 at that time.



Anyway, yet another appreciation thread for the NSX - Honda, sort it out, eh? There's a good car manufacturer...
