Ive managed to create 2 hybrids so far,
an FD RX7 with a 3 rotor from the RX7 LM and 'original' street RX7 turbo and intercooler etc 1185hp + 100 shot (supposed to be 20B swap but I was shocked at the horses)
a BMW M3 CSL with F6 Typhoon engine and Supra 97 Original turbo - 806hp + 70 shot
but Ive gotten stuck on my next project
LS1 RX7 with Corvette C5/Camaro SS/GTO(best) motor no matter what I do theres always the nagging faint sound of a turbo and with certain turbos it impacts the powerband dramatically. Ive been tweaking around to make the powerband match the real 5.7 but theres always a turbo sound there with the RX7 is there a way I can change the car so the turbo is completely removed, there is a PAL code to "remove turbo" but what is the equivalent in the NTSC version?
(PAL)
Removing turbo
Phaste Code
20A2A680 FFFFFFFF
20A2A684 FFFFFFFF
ARMAX Code
2M34-HFJC-UDHDG
21BZ-PDVP-EEP7B
29W6-3V52-03ZQC
Ive tried two different ways of using this specific code by using MAX convert to convert the ARMAX to AR2v1 (for Swap Magic Coder) which gives me
1C369628 61DFB00C
1C36962C 61DFB00C
and also I tried copying the Phaste code as both XPv1-2 and RAW, RAW gives me this:
1C3529A8 61DFB00C
1C3529AC 61DFB00C
(very similar and closer to AR2v1 codes)
but the turbo remains... my only band-aid solution so far was to put in the turbo code for a turbo with a wider powerband such as a Mitsubishi Eclipse.
With full bolt ons and racing exhaust it does sound like a V8, but there has to be a way for me to get the V8 in its purest natural aspirated form (dual exhaust sound for example). With full bolt ons and the stock RX7 or Eclipse turbos gives me around 500hp +100 shot
Ive been thinking there might be other ways to get the right modsn (NA TUNE) by changing the car codes, but those too, are unable to be found for NTSC... so Im kinda stuck here...
if I change "chassis" to the RE Amemiya RX7 (no turbo allowed) does it follow that or the car body? or is it the same thing? Im just a noob here starting out but Im hoping to get some savegames up real soon, just gonna throw together the LS1 RX7 and do the old copy and paste and delete the rest of the cars that havnt been hybridded yet.
Remember Im doing this oldschool style and Ive just been set back at the beginning (today ?yesterday?
) because I had to duplicate my legit copy of GT4 to get it to work with the Swap Magic (SM is Single Layer)
Im hoping to release the codes file from my Swap Magic when Im done, pre-programmed with different engine and drivetrain codes. Just highlight master, what engine you want, turbo, etc and then boot disc, save game, shut down, replace with legal copy, begin normal tune shop modifying procedure (suspension, LSD, ASM, etc) I dont have a bug where my savegame returns to normal because Im not emulating it... seems to work almost too easy
Im looking to make an H22 (prelude Vtec) EG Civic Turbo, Shelby GT350 289 into FC RX7, 05 Mustang GT with Cobra R 5.4 and AC Cobra Supercharger (easily 700hp) I cant wait
BACK TO WORK!
