The prize car/credits that you win for winning the event. (Although the prize car for the B-Spec is really disappointing)

i think some of you are missing what it is the OP is asking.

as i understand it, the question is "why give experience for the 'Ring 24 Hours, since you're already max level?"

in which case, my answer is "for the same reason you can use the FGT in races but not the Ferrari F1 cars."

The difference between people who race cars in the real world, and race cars in a video game, is this thread. I don't race cars in the real world, but things like the 24 hour Nurburgring races are a massive following that people are extremely passionate about.

You're getting XP simply because there's code in place that gives you XP after every A-spec race.
And since there's no harm in you getting that XP, they had absolutely no reason to waste time and resources to amend that code so that the Nurburgring 24 hours didn't give any.

This, of course, not to mention the very solid possibility of them raising the level cap at some point (Yamauchi compared GT5 to a MMORPG, and level cap raises happen often in that kind of games). In that case amending the code and only to change it back after would be even more pointless.

People sure love to whine about absolutely inconsequential stuff.

Not done it on GT5 yet but I did it on 4 and the point is I could sit down with a pen and paper and draw you the circuit and tell you what gear you should be in at any corner :)

Yup, this sums it up for me.

A 24 hour race that you have to max level to start and get huge experience upon winning. You cannot save the race and doing it little by little, either you race the 24 hour straight up or you pause your PS3 and leave it on for days hoping no updates or unforseen incidents happen to power down your PS3.

I don't think this is intended. I think it is the result of putting out an unfinished product. I'm hoping what was actually intended was for you to be able to use your b-spec drivers in these races. For their mental/physical strength bar to actually have an effect so once it drains they start crashing and you have to rest them and that for such a race, you'll have to drive your share to give the b-spec drivers enough rest to also drive well. And the ability to save durring a race....because 24 hours is still too long.

its basically there so you can level up other b-spec drivers very fast. Very useful in the ongoing signature competition, if you want a cold driver or a hot or a middle one you can make it happen in 5 days 0-40 doing the 24h ring.

And what's the answer to that?

This seems to be the most plausible answer.
But then, why not just give us 0XP?

Or, why not make the 24 hour race earlier, when that XP would be useful. This is why people are stuck grinding in the 20's/ 30's - all the XP that would alleviate said grinding is available... after XP has no value.

How this game even got through testing I will never know.

An even better idea 👍
That way we don't need to grind so much from level 35 (when you unlock Le Mans).

maybe there will be a add on soon who will give us the chance to arrive lvl 50 ... xD

(please PD new events too :D )

Doubtless to say that those how have already completed the 24 hours Nuburgring will be quite annoyed.

It will auto level up for them I would think just like any one who had completed events got the new prizes from the last update.

Until there's a save feature, I'm not doing any of the A-Spec endurance races. 50 laps is my limit. After that it gets old. I've driven 10+ hours straight in real life. It wasn't a pleasure. I certainly wouldn't do it in a game without some incredible pot of gold at the end.

They should create a save feature and make it so you cannot access anything else in the game until you complete or delete the save. Until that, there's just no incentive to even attempt it.

I have driven for 16 hours straight in a SUV with a wife and two kids. Fighting, biting, you name it, it went on. Pulling every hair out of my head one by one would have been more relaxing than that trip. This seems to be like a repeat of that torture test, unless I had a buddy or two, or threes help. I LOVE the ring! It's on my real life's bucket list. I fear I would absolutely hate it after being tortured for 24 hrs of driving non-stop. A save point accessed while in the pits would be fantastic. Hopefully this gets added to the next update. PLEASE PD!, PLEASE!

What really should PD do is let two people do the same race, like you can pick someone on your friends list at the pit and that person can pick up where your left off. And once picked, you can only switch between these 2 drivers, that would make more sense and even more realistic IMO.

Not very realistic. There are teams of drivers for 24hr races. Not 2 people.
