Thank you for understanding :)

I really hope to get an FGT, I already have an F2007 and F10.

Well, that's it really. Even though I do not have the F2007 or the F10, and I have two FGT's, I can buy a brand new F2007 and F10 anytime (once I have enough cr.), but the only way to get a brand new, unsullied FGT is with this gift ticket. Many people may not like me saying this, but I will definitely cheat to get the FGT with that ticket if it doesn't come up the first time. I am a collector with a bit (quite a bit, actually) of video game OCD, and you only get that ticket once. Ever.

Short of restarting and doing all the endurances again. That's too much for me, ha-ha.

Cheat?
Not sure if this will work, but what if I back up the game, open the ticket, and if it's not what I want, I delete, recover data and try again.
Will that work?
I definitely want an FGT.

What kind of events would necessitate a level 45 cap? The seasonals are about as tough as anything and are not limited by any levels. They can easily add more and not require everyone to get to level 40. And for those not interested in endurance races which is the majority of players out there why would you add more events at a level most people will never get to?

Also as for saving an endurance race would that not give you the ability to cheat via unintended rewind for when you crash or something?

Sorry about not getting back, got stuck reading other threads, I think I'm more addicted to GTPlanet than I am to GT5, ha-ha.

Yes, that is how I will get the FGT with that ticket. You will finish the race, get the ticket, but DO NOT OPEN IT YET. Exit game, back up your save, restart game, check ticket, wrong car, exit game, delete save, copy back-up, restart game, check ticket, wrong car, etc. etc. until you get the FGT.

I will buy the F2007 and the F10 brand new myself, but when I get my brand new FGT, I will never touch it.

Edit: Woo-Hoo! 50th post!

Thanks for the confirmation.

What if the cap is raised to say LVL45, and more events are added, or a whole new series of events? Then you'd be saying the exact opposite. "Thank God I still got EXP for winning the 24h @ Nurb. Ring. . ." Now wouldn't you? Why do people complain about the stupidest stuff possible?

Save during an Endurance Race? What a joke, then they would have to change the whole name of the series, because then it wouldn't be an Endurance Race now would it? If you ask me, we're lucky enough to have the PAUSE feature, even though I think we shouldn't. Get over it, if you don't like it don't play it, period.

No offence mate but, much as I like the game and all, I'd kinda like to stay married. And employed. Of course there should be a save feature in Endurance events. In case you haven't noticed this is only a game.

I kinda feel like this game has been ruined a little bit by the levelling up. I still don't get why every single game-type these days features RPG elements like this. I'd rather the way it used to be where the only barier was really what car you owned and licenses you had, instead of an arbitrary leelling up system based on what events you've completed... because frankly I don't have hardly anytime to play this game and at my current rate of progress I'm gonna get to level 20 in about a month's time (from level 18). I shudder to think what is required for level 40... and in this process I'm missing out access to much of what the game holds, and I paid good money to get to play on all the tracks with any car of my choosing, but it doesn't seem likely when cars are 20 million credits and the most I've won so far in any race is maybe 100,000.... I cannot grind that much, sorry.

P.S. most races you earn a lot less than that and I think the 100,000 is for a Special Event where you only earn those credits once.... Even with that.. at that rate I'd need to race a 100,000 credit race 200 time. TWO HUNDRED TIMES.... maybe a 10 minute long race or longer... 2000 minutes is 33 hours... Seriously is someone having a laugh. That's 1 hour racing a day for a month just to buy one car. Am I missing something...

Uh, yeah, you're just missing the whole point of this thread. Very off-topic post there.

Wrong thread?
This thread is about the Nurburgring 24 hour and the XP received from it...

I do kinda get the impression that in GT "Endurance" means "Endurance of total repetition", and the 24 hour events are taking this to extremes. Sure this is a driving simulator but there are a million other factors and variables going on in a REAL 24hr endurance race. In video game land it's so incredibly repetitive for often so little reward.

Perhaps with careful car selection the races can be very challenging, but most of us will only try that on the second attempt (if that actually ever happens) as on the first try you really don't want to leave your PS3 on for a day only to come 12th...

So indeed, back on topic, what is the point? It's completism for completism's sake, unless the level cap does go up.
