What is it about the Nurburgring that draws everyone in? In my opinion, it's just a 'bit' too long, especially when you have to do multiple laps in a VERY slow car.

Stick to racing B spec then. You can start a race and then watch your cartoons.

I love how beaten up and inconsistent the track is. There are some corners that bounce you off the track if your car is too light and you hit the right spot. Deformations like that are what classic courses should be about.

I will never go easy on the throttle for no TCS lol, its a game and easy to drive is better then fast.

If TCS will slow me down, I will take that over doing it yourself, ALWAYS.

You're not into competitive racing then I take it ?

Maybe just cruising on a track or enjoying a beautiful Ferrari on a quiet track ?

Nothing wrong with that I think . 👍

But if I run run a competitive lobby then it's for racing with no aids on for giving everyone an equal baseline & a simulated racing experience .

The 'Ring is a good place for this . The hardest track to race & overtake on takes the most skill to master.

Me....I find this track OVERRATED than what most people say, this track doesn't even amaze me one bit, but that's just my opinion.

Get out. *punches hole in wall* I SAID NOW!

Hmmm. The ring....

Ill respect it and if i could drive a car on only one track irl it would be the ring. It is simply beautiful and such racing prestige cant be ignored. And irl the bigger rhe better.
BUT.... To me it should not be raced how gt5 does it. Everyone starting at the line and plowing inside on every turn. It is more of an amazing road rally. That needs to be run in atleast 30 second intervals.
The track is to tight to pass clean and no one will even let you pass because its a blow to their tiny ego. So you get forced to do some landscaping. And now must weave thru the riff-raff at the back. No thanks. When i race with other cars i need a circuit that was designed for racing that way.

I will race gp/f for 8 minutes and have way more fun.

I hate the ring!

^ I know what you mean, online you need very skilled and clean drivers if you wonna have a good race there. But, you can always try the 24h layout on night against Arcade A level, agressivity maxed out, damage on and a stock car. Yesterday I was driving the Lexus Wedsport GT300, it was like an online race should be, competitive, fast, not lot of room for mistakes. Surprisingly it was lot of fun.

Don't hate the ring hate the noobs.

Haha, you're not the only one. It's the most overused, overrated racing track in the game. And I mean racing track, not hotlap track. In the beginning I was pretty psyched about the 'Ring, ran a bunch of laps to learn the track, laid down some pretty good times, figured I had her down pat. Then came racing online...and the first corner with a grid of 16, and all the magic disappeared. I kept at it, not the type to give up, found out the 24 hours version did a better job of sorting the cars out before the old part of the track and then it became a race to get to the old part of the track and if you got there first 90% of the time you'd win the race in the absence of a mistake.

And if someone was close to you, and tried to pass anywhere but on the back straight, 90% of the time it meant contact and grass and a spin. To me that's not fun racing, so I generally avoid any room labelled "Nurb" or any room that is racing on the Nurb.

Because most of pubblic Nordschleife lobbies run with full damage off. People are not good enough for it so they keep arcade rules, overtakin without any risk to permanently damage the car = arcade.

Not quite, the most overused track in the game at the moment is Spa. And about online racing on the Nürb, just find a good racing team. I found one and we can allways do clean racing on any track.

Damage has nothing to do with how people drive. The only difference with full damage I've found is, when you get jammed up from behind or rubbing into the guardrail they guy getting hit also gets damaged, it doesn't change the way people drive, in my experience. I avoid rooms with full damage for that reason.

The track just isn't wide enough to promote the type of racing I like which is the ability to pass cleanly almost anywhere on any track, given sufficient opportunity. To me it's not much fun following someone for 9 km to pass them on the one straightaway nor is it much fun leading for 14km because no one can get by you if you stick to the middle of the track.

If you can't overtake cleanly on the ring then you're part of the problem. You need to learn the corners and take advantage on those which can help you overtake when braking.

If you expect easy overtaking on the ring then y'all should stick to daytona!

The Nurburgring Nordschleife challenges every technical aspect of a car. That's why a lot of manufacturers go there. In the game, that's where I test cars before and after tuning them.

The track gives you a lot of fun. It is long, but it can sharpen your racing skills.

Well it should, if someone try to overtake and crash his and your car, next race should be more careful, "learn from your mistakes" as they say. In other hand, I can understand what you mean, some people are just dumb enough to crash again and again and again.. But it's not the track fault. In GT6 they better create a matchmaker based on stats something like iracing, noobs with noobs and pros with pros.

Fixed. That's why people don't run heavy damage. Most of the time it isn't your fault when you take damage.

It's a real love it or hate it track. When I run a lobby it's either Nurburgring or everything else. I find if you're running everything else and you change it to Nurburgring, the lobby empties out in a hurry.

You should play it more, there is no better feeling in my opinion, than when you jump in an F2007 and really nail a lap, and you can think to yourself, that was brilliant.

Its a great track, not so much to race on, but just to enjoy. Do it with a stock Yellow Bird, now thats fun. This is my personal opinion, but the nordschleife is, for me, not realy a track to set times but more to enjoy your car. It's too narrow to race on for us mere mortal, especially in gt5 online. I've been on there several times in real life with my own car. The curbs are real high and you don't get the elevation differenses in the game like they are on the real track. For example, there is a part near the hotel, where you dive deep in your braking zone (braking downhill) need to go hard left and then uphill right. There is allso an exit there and a nice spot to watch the cars come by. You'll feel more humble there if you've done it for real, but in the game it's a pretty easy combo.

My point is, try it with a harder car (stock Yellow Bird on sport hard eg) and take it slower and enjoy it. It's a special experience. Just drive it as if it was your own car and you have to pay for the damage. Now thats a great drive. Lil disclaimer, I do it with a g27 using the clutch. It's a fantastic timekiller if you find a nice free run server. My 2 cents :)
