Nurburgring Nordschleife

What is it about the Nurburgring that draws everyone in? In my opinion, it's just a 'bit' too long, especially when you have to do multiple laps in a VERY slow car.

This track is in wonderful place, has many elevations, every section is original and many corners are blind ones in combination with negative banking.

Too long? Good thing, not that everyone wants to circle around 9 curves all day along...

Probably most unique track of the world and ultimative test for a car and a driver.

you would think Mazerati would be smart enough not to put a mazerati as his profile picture

Yep . Not to mention the same grammar , knowing exactly what I was talking about in my " Hi Mazerati " post , the location quoting as Scotland , ( With the emphatical exclamation mark ) , and the most obvious of 2 of them all - Mc Stradale , ( Made by , you guessed it lol , Maserati ) . And finally - the exact same IP Address I bet . :dunce:

Yes Mazerati / MC Stradale .
You sir should -

There's a nice little cafe just down the road.

Classic.

It's history, it's demanding, it's a challenge. I never really got it until I started watching old races from there and started trying to best my time in GT5 there.

green hell = EPIC
99% of my races is in Nurburgring
i run with everything
i run many times with kart in online i awesome..!

Pretty much every time I play GT5, I will find myself heading to the Nordschleife, "Schwarzwald B" race, jump into some German motor or other, and just drive flat out. Never get tired of that race. If I find myself winning too easily, then a quick tweak to the tyre selection sorts that out. With every different car, the 'Ring becomes a different beast, and a corner previously taken easily will become more of a challenge. Even in a slow car, you will always find at least one corner to challenge you.

I love this track, favorite one in the game. Can do it flawless bout 95% of the time, depending on the car. Still working on that other 5%

The nordschleife is the best track ever. Technical, flowing and just dam right fun, especially in 500pp cars.

It's the challenge, there's nothing else like it - knowing that one slip could unwind that perfect lap. I enjoy trying loads of different cars on it. Don't enjoy racing so much.

I have to say though, I hated the ring in gt4 until I got a wheel; it all came together then. I haven't tried the track with ds3 in gt5 ( I do use ds quite a lot for other stuff).

I like the Nordschleife... in the wet around dusk with mist and in an FR car with around 300bhp....

I think it's amazing in the rain with lower PP cars, to powerslide through the corners and hold on for your life while sliding through high speed turns and under braking.

...And the best part is no massive bill for fixing your car 👍

just spent my evening running round and round in a stock 135i coupe on comfort soft tires..... not caring about my lap time (most of my laps ended up red anyway) think i did about 10 - 15 laps

Unlike MC Stradale, i like the 'Ring. The curves, long straights. And it's even better in the Dark.

Dual personality much? Or is he your brother? I just find it too hard to believe that you aren't MC Stradale/Mazerati. Someone even made a prediction this would be your new username.

What's next, I wonder…

MC 12? MC Grand Turismo?

1. Penalties - Strong
2. Time - Night
3. Hp/Weight - A very 'difficult-to-match' set of numbers, which result in me driving something I wouldn't normally touch

1: Strong penalties are good and make you a better driver.
2: Nighttime on the Nordschleife is fun as you race in pitch black darkness.
3: Practice makes perfect.

If you don't like the Nordschleife that much when it comes up quit.

I recommend Daytona for you as you do is yell "power!" and full throttle like Jeremy Clarkson and turn left.

Yep . That was my prediction .

But in all seriousness Mazerati , and yes I know you're reading this , you need to stop trying to re-join GTP every 2 seconds .

It's sad , tragic & needy . You were banned for legitimate reasons & you're just making yourself look even more foolish every time you appear .

Your rule breaking isn't tolerated here , and you might find a more suitable trolling cave elsewhere on the web .

If you still haven't got it then i'd suggest reading this over & over & over again until you manage to understand -

Clicking on "I have read and agreed to the terms & conditions" when you haven't done either doesn't give you exemption, no matter how hard you believe it does.

( Sorry for the off topic Mods 👍 )

On topic : The attraction of the Nurburgring is the sheer challenge of the place . It's very hard to get a perfect 13 mile lap here , and that's what brings me back for more . 👍

I hate this track so bad.

But i hate rooms who force no tcs even more.

What is there to hate ? It has very many challenging corners to experience .

TCS only slows your car down as it's limiting the power from your engine thus cutting off valuable torque to your drive wheels which leads to lower exit speeds from corner exits .

Every car in GT5 can be driven quickly & smoothly without TCS , it just takes practice .
And the best place to practice these skills ? Nurburgring of course ! 👍

Hate the Nordschleife? Never. It is a wonderful place to drive or race and in the wet is a big challenge.

The closest I get to hating it is when I blow a good lap by making an error but that is my fault. Motoring heaven...

I will NEVER understand how people could hate this track... Practice, practice , practice. Do people think think you can just hop in any car and knock out quick laps without knowing the course first. Its a challenge, and the satisfaction of running a clean quick lap, in any car is very rewarding. If im not online, about 98% of my time in GT5 is spent hot lapping stock cars on sport hards, 100hp-800hp. Traction control is your right foot...brake and slow down for turns...I am an avid auto crosser and road racer in real life, and can honestly say, to run a few laps on the 'ring before I die is must do on my bucket list.

But then again there are people who would rather do 10 laps on high speed ring than 1 lap on the Nordschleife... to each their own

Yep, the Ring is epic. How anyone who loves driving games could hate the ring is beyond me. And the version in GT5 is wonderful - taking different un-modded cars out on the ring at different times of day represents about 75% of my enjoyment of the game...

The Nordschleife makes up the bulk of my driving time in GT5. Kart Space Time Trial is also another favourite of mine as is spending considerable time in Photo Mode.

i loved the "green hell" on GT4 and like it even more now ive got better at it, but i could do so much better. Lost count how many times i must of went on it. Racing online on it is great fun, however its quite annoying when people cut the grass on the 2nd to last corner and ram me into the barriers :(

I thought the same thing in gt4 now I love that track.....funny thing is I now am never lost around that track after the 4 hr race u can do on gt5 and 24 hr.... The track layout got burned into my brain :-) now I know it better than grand valley.... LoL

💡 Go easy on the throttle, TCS is a lot slower.

I will never go easy on the throttle for no TCS lol, its a game and easy to drive is better then fast.

If TCS will slow me down, I will take that over doing it yourself, ALWAYS.
