OK Koly, let's see whatcha got T10: 8'59.309 👍 👍 . Didn't have time to get all the splits. Gotta go to work. Paused and wrote this one down. There might be a little left out there...not sure if I can get it. Going out of town this weekend so not much more time for me to improve. This is great fun. I was sweatin' bullets the last half of the lap hopin' I could hang on just for what will likely be only "momentary" braggin' rights.

Good run Goix! I kinda knew you're crack the 9 minute barrier ... that'll be tough for me to hit, I may have to take a couple of runs!

I see that Zoxxy - as quick as he is - is like 4 seconds up on me at T1 alone, so I obviously need to be quicker right from the starting line. Let's see if I can shave a littl e off at each T later tonight ;)

Did you view the pdf file of "Sport autos" correct line around the ring guide?

Geeteye has it if you need it 👍 , that really helps in a lot of places, some key places to look out for are "Fluplatz" this is flat out in the Spitfire, dont clip the first apex, aim for the second one, if you hit first apex you will most likely push wide of the second and onto the grass.....

"Bergwerk" is crucial to laptimes, the entry is really late and getting it right has a big impact on your v max along the long section that follows upto the "angstkurve"

The Karussell and its smaller version at the schwalbenschwanz can lose lots of time too, at the big one try to drop in and follow the banked section right round, im seeing about 41-42mph, at the second one take a similar line or you just get spat out onto the right hand side and into the grass 👎

Im no expert but i found i was always losing time here in other races/cars etc

The pdf really helps though :)

I printed off the guide a while ago and got my b/f to bind it for me and everything ... but I actually found your highlights to be more illuminating ... I'll look at that again. I agree, there is a lot here where you don't need to lose speed, or exit speed is crucial, or braking for corner A helps with corner B, and so on. But, let's face it, that's the beauty of this series ;)

Hard to believe that Veil would've lapped us not just once but TWICE in the Minolta at thses speeds. Amazing :bowdown: . It's not fair someone is so good at this game :banghead: .

Had another go tonight. Yesterday I lifted off the throttle for Schwedenkreuz, today went for it and did it without lifting, and it to my supprise I kept it pretty tidy :p

I reckon there's still a bit of time to be won for me, especially at Wipperman. I realy gotta learn not to overdo it there, gets pretty slippery :indiff:

Anyway, knocked about 5 seconds off total time, so I'm happy :)

I'm off to try the new WRS now :p

Yay, getting this down. I hit two sectors badly and lost the little Spitfire, so I've got an 'easy' 4 seconds to gain, for sure.

Let the record show, that I did not vote for this car. Yikes. I thought this was a warm up. Instead, it seems I am fighting this car the whole way. Needless to say, my T1 is over the 9 minute mark.

Confounded woman! Good job. I spent about an hour fooling with it last night. Improved my T10 by less than a second. I know there's more time out there but this week I don't have the time to get it. I honestly believe I'd NEVER get to where you are now anyway. So I'm throwin' in the towel (for this week). Well done. You are the superior driver :bowdown: ....maybe next week I'll get ya.

Last night was the 1st time I raced close enough to the ghost to realize how crucial it is to maintain momentum. You barely screw up a turn and 20-30 sec later the ghost comes easin' on by. It seems that it is even more important on cars with the lower HPs? I expect it is also true of the faster cars. Focusing on that will probably help reduce lap time in all cars?

Hi Sim, just to bring you up to speed if you didnt figure it out, every sat i will post a thread like this with a choice of cars.

You have upto the sunday evening to evaluate them and let me know by PM only, your three choices ie 1st favourite down to 3rd favourite.

I will then total up everyones votes for each car and announce the winner. Racing then starts on the monday when i post the winning car and runs through to the following sunday night. You can then use this thread to discuss T times during the week and i will endeavor to update the T times leaderboard (its only within this thread see post number 2) as the week goes by.

Some awesome times coming in 👍 , im personally getting to the stage where im trading places with my best ghost here and there over the lap, if i can string a clean lap together i think 8:50 is ok for me....

There are so many places where time can be lost im interested to see what the fastest T10 will get down to for this car :crazy:

Got some interesting motors lined up for week 1 which starts Monday 17th October (Voting commences 15th), the power hike for these is very noticeable but i really have to commend the Spitfires "Fluidness" around the track, all it lacks is outright grunt exiting corners and such....

Goix' I may have just 'hit it right', but like you said, maintaining momentum is everything and I seemed to get it closer to 'right' this last time out of the pits. I also pushed harder around a few corners ... it's surprising how quickly the Spitfire will cut and spin out, but it's equally surprising how quick she can go around certain corners.

I'm really enjoying this week and I intend to run a lap each day and maybe save 4 seconds at T10 ... that would be nice ... perhaps sub 8'50.

I can happily help with something like that, but I'm thin on the ground and can't verify all NTSC replays.
 
Time pending on review of clean lap. I seem to develop a habit a blowing the exact same corner, several times. 👎

Will have a submission by this evening. 👍
 
Redline, you don't have to submit for a few days yet ... you can run lots of practice, warmup laps and freely discuss your splits (T10 and below).

*nods* I know, but I'd like to get it out of the way for now since its just the warm-up race. I need to get the Cuda ready for the VTA league. :-)
 
Ahhhhh ... yes ... I wish I could be a little more decisive like that myself ... I tend to join several events and then race all of them every night, all week ... not good :ouch:
 
Ran a couple of laps. T-10 is 9'00.002 :( - and then I cut the last corner and tapped the wall. I'll get a clean lap one day. I'm loving this car though 👍

Don't know if I'll be able to get any more out of it... Feels like I'm the raggedy edge now...
