I can get a T1 of 44.9xxx. After that it all goes downhill...

You can get a clean T1 of 44.9 with the right car, tuning and tyres??

Woooww, 44??? Are you sure you haven't made a typo? I mean a 54.9 is managable
I had some 54.6's myself, but a 44.xxx T1!!!??? Just seems inpossible to me

Hey dave, as you asked me, my settings are just setting all stif as possible into the suspension settings, setting the lower heigh possible and also a low value for the other option i forgot lol. nothing special.

I think N2s represented this week the average Mx-5 which might be slightly tuned with a sports suspension system and taken to a race track on standard tyres, N3s are getting on for a track day tyre and at this power level i didnt think they were quite necessary, i wanted to convey the need to learn braking points and corner lines right from a standard car all the way up to the high power machines as the weeks go by, im sorry you didnt have fun as this is meant to be fun, i too found it frustrating this week but only because i am having to re-evaluate my driving style and braking ability using the tyres on offer, i for one have learnt loads over the past two weeks 👍

i just really don't like the N2's and N1's.
not because of braking or grip, just because they *feel* horrible.
like this little MX-5 will step out and go nose to tail in such an infuriating manner. Being actually in the car and feeling what its doing, things would probably be actually fun, but the cheapy-creepy tires don't tell you anyting is wrong until its way too late.
they don't give you *fun* oversteer, just that sickening "we're going to die" oversteer; without the sensation that things are going to go horribly wrong that i get when i'm actually in the car... i was finding it impossible to predict or control.
I say the lower 'N' tires don't belong on a track, because i've wrung my brother's Z3 out, at-and-beyond the limits, and it never exhibited any of the undriveable tendancies of this miata; on the OEM tires.
N2's and N1's have gotta be simulating $30 discount specials, not performance "summer" rubber.

Ok i hear you Dr Watson, once again shame you didnt enjoy it , maybe the furthur weeks will be for you? I didnt find the MX-5 too bad to be honest but everyones different

I agree with Dave, both on the frustration and the learning experience parts. This week has been frustrating, yes, because it was so hard to get a clean lap. Before I submitted my only clean lap time, I had at least 5 or 6 more times that were faster but dirty and another 5 or 6 more that were faster up to a certain point and then the car decided to go off track without warning. But it's been a learning experience nonetheless. Sometimes underpowered cars with "bad" tires teach you that it's not always 100% throttle or 100% gas, but a range from 0 to 100%. They teach you that the braking distances do not span a few yards, like in a race car, but a few ten yards. And so on...

It's been fun, I enjoyed it 👍

That was pretty funny
...and true. Sometimes the car would just say "Ok, I have had enough. See you in the sand pit or when we meet that nice looking wall, over there...". Only it would say it after it all happened

No warnings whatsoever. One minute is going fine and you feel like you are going to pull your best lap ever, the following turn your are cheek to cheek with the wall...

Oh well, let's move on to the next week 👍
