REAPEAT AFTER ME......

It applies throttle under certain circumstances to prevent under/oversteer.

My advice........TURN IT OFF!!

AIDS is a disease.......why would you willingly inflict your car with them??

I had the same problem when driving the Formula GT, posted a thread and got good answers here.

It's caused by the ASM trying not to allow your car oversteer or understeer.

Hope this helps,

EDIT - I was a bit late.

You didn't wast their time, they wouldn't have come into the thread to offer an answer if you were.

A really usefull part of the site is the read this FAQ threads listed in the top few threads in this GT4 section lof the site, theres loads of useful bits of info inluding a few shortcuts key funtions that I wasn't aware of until not too long ago. Welcome to GTP if you intend to stick around.

Ok, we're all set, close the thread.
Apparently we weren't all set, were we? Kindly refrain from appointing yourself thread police. See below:

I was wondering why it happend also. Thank you for the answer :)

I don't know why I was part of it. What I meant was that the ASM thing was the answer. Or Correct me if I misunderstood something.

He was pointing out that he helped you and that closing the thread...wouldn't?

No I didn't want the thread to be closed, I was replying to the post of the reason for the ASM accelerating without gas, it had nothing to do with the thread being closed and I am sorry for the confusion.

This wasn't a dumb question, IMO, and you certainly didn't waste anyone's time, slayr. Mistakes happen, and it's not like this was one of the questions that is brought up in new threads several times per day. :)

That said, I also don't see why this thread would need closing.

@DLRgian: Duke wasn't implicating you in the request for the thread being closed -- he was pointing out your post as a reason for the thread to not be closed. :)

This thread can serve as a useful read to those who have not encountered the effects of ASM, aguably most noted on the FGT as it's so light. Despite your concerns, slayr, this is agood thread:tup:, hope you'll stick around.

Right! I was using your post as an example of why the poster above you should not play moderator by recommending that the thread be closed. There is more worthwhile discussion to be had here.

Dosen't this go in the steering wheel and cockpits forum?

Sorry if I'm wrong

No, its about ASM. Its nothing to do with steering wheel or DS2 or anything like that.

Yes, agreed.

I usually turn off all of my driving aids, (*AIDS* lol at rsmithdrift's post.) especially for drifting. It'd be hell trying to drift with those! ;)
