The world is a big, scary, and chaotic place for people who can't comprehend it; they call those who can "elitist." This is in no small part due to the fact that so-called "elitists" simply value understanding, learning, depth, and sharing these experiences with others of a like-minded constitution (they also despise and are annoyed by wasting words on posers who butt in with juvinile remarks and attention seeking attacks). This frustrates those who cry "elitist!" sending them into a fit of id-like, infantile proportions. As a last resort they fall back on the one smart sounding word they know and can spell, and pretend to think they have suddenly redeemed their feeble capacities.
The ones who really really wish they could engage the world on a deeper level, but, sadly, are incapable, are the worst and most insufferable. They try and try and are continually humiliated by their own efforts. Their tantrums are released on whatever is closest at hand. It's a vicious cycle . . . a downward spiral, if you will. Then they feel "oppressed." If, indeed, they are oppressed, it is by their own tenacious stupidity.
