Great work, suzq! 👍

I think the 2nd is the best, a neat horizontal text format like in the first doesn't suit the messy grunge theme while the format in the 2nd is suitable and out standing (literally).

Well done!

yeah.. that was the first one i did.. i think i'lll take out the top 1..

suzq044: 👍

Yup: I'm lazy. (and don't have much time for this today)

And what the heck is sventibold?

Thanks. :)

It's a font called "Gonzales Sans" (i'm pretty sure i picked it up at www.acidfonts.com search there). I bloated the x, and used perspective to make the "PI" and "EL" look like that.

JP- that doesn't say 'pixel' lol

other note: this one is from a friend of mine who is waiting on the email to get in.. so here's his:

That's my first attempt at that style of border. Nonetheless thanks for the comment Giancarlo.

sventibold isn't even a word.. zwentibold is though... but i think its german.

This was kinda hard, and I'd appreciate it if someone could give me advice on how to better pull this off. The circle is supposed to be a semi-sideways, semi-transparent disk with a "7" cut out of it, then has the logo text going through the hole that the "7" made.

The hard part was getting perspective on the circle (I could've done a rectangle, but that's way too easy). I tried using a shadow that was placed close to the right edge to make it more obvious that the left edge is floating closer to the viewer. I'm sort of wondering if a floor shadow would've been a more effective way to indicate that the shape is rotated along a y-axis, but I was too lazy to try it.

In someways I believe that the words could be distorted too to look as if it was going through the 7. Combined with distorting the circle a bit more, to give it more of a 3D look it could work.

Maybe the words need a dark patch from a shadow from the circle but in turn this makes the logo complicated when it shouldn't be.

I'm out.

Yes it is. I bet it's Swedish. Or something.

EDIT: fixed bluriness.

So this isn't an entry, as it doesn't conform to any of the rules of this competition. But I got the motivation to try to do something with Photoshop due to this thread, so I should first thank sn00p for that and secondly, post up my "REMEDIAL" creation.

My first ever creation. TA DAAA! (think of it as an advertisement in a magazine. Maybe?)
