i know that the game physics differ between the two but does anyone know why. It just sucks a bit that it it like this. Do ripping times on practise and they struggle to replicate them online where it sort of matters.

Practice on 1 grade lower tyres offline and its more like online!

Example, if using RS tyres online use RM offline still not accurate but its closer!

yeah i get that. Though its just pretty gay that there is a difference between online and offline. Dont get me wrong i race alright but it just seems stupid that theres a difference between the to.

Yep I 2nd that.

I don't notice the difference. Online there is Fuel/Tire wear, so I practice with that offline. Although most of the time when I practice, I host my own room in my own lounge and practice in an online setting.

+1 👍

I now regularly build and tune my cars on lesser tyres than I expect to run it on. If I'm going to run a car on Sport Softs, I'll build on Sports Hard.

ps: you might want to adjust your derogatory term usage.

I too dont notice the difference. I genuinly have no idea what everyones babbling on about with the physics difference, and when I do practise off line, I run tyre and fuel use on and real track edge grip. Do not notice any difference at all :irked:

Lucky you, I've got cars that were rapid offline and a nightmare online, that's why I now set up all my cars online.

The difference is because the offline physics were too bandwidth heavy for 16 player online play.

Thus a variable set of streamlined physics were developed for the online environment to ensure compatibility: split into 5 further levels of simplicity and adjustable by the user when creating a lobby.

maybe it was a bit of an oversight during development. but anyway that is the reason. bandwidth.

Bingo, he has it, everyone stop asking now.

In your Favourites!?....Everyone keeps their online cars in "favourites" don't they?
