I also found out that yesterday I was using the standard tires NOT racing tires ahahaha it feels great to feel like such a noob :ouch: Had one good race going and I passed the host at the hairpin at Fuji and oh, what's this you wanna quit now... 'tards, I am only racing online cause its BARELY better than doing S-9 about 3 trillion times so I can get the F1 car, then I'll only race in private forums cause this is just ****ty, a disgrace as far as I'm concerned. I have no problem with the occasional bump; we're human. But the 11 years old girls that think they HAVE to win at ALL COSTS....nope laters.

had a fun 2 races there, but I quit that last one. Too many girlies bumping you in the middle of a turn. I can't wait for private rooms so we can have some head-to-head fun. I'm looking at you Mr.Grandorifto :p

I messed up & left my Suzuka gearing in, I was banging the rev limiter just past the start finish line!! :ouch:

I'll be back on later running Suzuka & Daytona road.
I'm a night owl when I don't have to work the next day!
 
in how many hours is your midnight race going to be? I live in california and its 9:25 right now and i'm not sure which midnight we're talking about... Has it already passed? I guess it would be 12:25 eastern time now... how many hours should I adjust for these online meetings?

If you want to start further forward, tune your car with less PP. Your grid position is determined by how much PP you have. The cars with the lowest PP start at the front.

Sorry I didn't make any races tonight. Had a crazy night.
 
Hey The Moose! Fun racing you tonight! On that last race, My internet connection cut out at the start finish line after the first lap! Im poaching my neighbors faster internet across the street but the connection is somewhat iffy and it works but every now and then it drops... which sucks, because we had us a sweet little race going! Also fun racing with you at Datona Road, thanks for being patient with me on the first lap. It was my second time driving that track. Fun Racing!

Edit: Decided I wasn't done racing and came back for a couple more! Finally put three consistent laps together for a win!
 
Hey moose, I watched you pass me, sat behind you by 2 seconds for the rest of the race until right near the end. you still have me beat it seems.
 
Hey guys awesome racing with some of you last night! I caught up for the 9:00 race but had a rough time finding anyone till the end. Suzuka had terrible connection probs most of the time...and then I sat out a round and took a break.

By the time I got to Fuji I stayed there till 12:30 and had some good races! TheMoose...awesome stuff raced you at Suzuka as well.
Hooked up and ran a bunch of races with Haass, Achilles and Godzilla. LOL...Haass dissappointed, I tried to bump draft him to separate from the pack that was a crashfest and then he kept trying to break the draft.

Some guy named akitaka managed to hit me in every single race on Fuji, when I passed inside, outside and in between every time I think he got angry so he began hitting me multiple time eery race after that...lol. I was too tired for the last few races to push him though and he took the last couple wins.


Achilles, I did not accept your friend invite as I am just waiting on approval of my GTP tag so that account will not be used after. Plus...I havent used the PS3 before GT5P so I dont quite know how to work the friends list yet :)

anyway, may see you all tonight...have a final tomorrow so not sure. anyway...just rmbr to look out for user *Jureidini

***EDIT*** my GTP tag was just approved so I will be switching from Jureidini to GTP_jmcnR tonight!
 
I had some great after hours races last night, I tend to be a night owl & really get racing after midnight central time.
I had some great racing with jmcn R, BajaJohn, isaactr & some others.
If you guys want some late night action I hang at Suzuka mostly because there is more people there but I get to Daytona road & Fuji as much as I can.
I'm on vacation all of May so I'll be spending a lot of time online, see ya there!! :)

If I had known what you were doing I would have helped out.

I have just learned to trust no one online that doesnt have GTP_ in front of their name.

Good fun racing you, I did what I could with the 430 but the GT-R is better around Fuji for sure.

PD needs to let the 430's take the extra 7 pp and put it towards HP.

I just came online a few mins ago and I am testing various cars and setups on Fuji as we speak. A couple other GTPers out there too. It is clear though that NOTHING in the pp700 class in a match for the GTR35. NOTHING. I tried a couple setups on the Vette but I can only beat the 3* drivers when they have the GTR...maybe the occasional slightly better 4*. Only 5 races with it though so who knows, 2 of my setups are drastically different too.

I bought a new car today (same car, new, more unique colour :P ) and I've chosen to run it with all assists off except for ABS (set to one), so I don't expect to win many races tonight, and if I suck, there's your explanation as to why.

I've also decided to change things up

After GTP_potatochip embarassed me last night by staying ahead of me in a normal GT while I used the tuned version I've decided to move to using the normal GT full time. The reason for me using the tuned GT was QTS allowed you to get the weight real low and the HP real low which made the car easier to drive. At 700pp the normal GT weighs about 150kgs more but has 80 more HP and no wings for aerodynamics.

I have to get use to going slower through the turns and making up the time I lose in the turns on the straights. This works well at places like daytona road but at Suzuka I will definitly be slower

I've also decided today, like you, to move TCS from 1 to 0. Someone claimed the GT is easy to drive with TCS at 1, which is false, so I decided to move TCS to 0 to silence the critics.

As for ABS I tried turning it off and just couldn't get a feel for it. It didn't feel right to me. They appeared to lock up even at 50% at times. I didn't notice any advantage in stopping power, but rather a disadvantage. I will leave ABS at 1 until either everyone is forced to turn it off or it gives you an advantage to turn it off.
 
I just finished testing various cars and setups on Fuji. Want some other options rather than the GTR35....it simply is the king but I don't want to always be using it.

Happy to say though that I did not finish outside of the top 2 for the evening so it was good. Have a couple cars for when I get bored.

I just had an excellent race with... AN S2000 driver! I didn't know good S2000 drivers existed! I ended up winning in the end. My first no assist but ABS win! Good clean race drama-kyb.

My best time for completion of 3 laps at Suzuka with no assists but ABS is already within 2.8 seconds of my best time with TCS and Stability Control on. I seem to do great when out front, but if a moron catches me, it's MUCH harder to avoid getting taken out without the assists.
 
Whoever GTP_Bstrd is, he needs to learn how to drive. I've been punted off or run into from behind by his GT-R every time he's behind me, four times now.

Sorry about running into you at the Chicane Moose, I outbraked myself and then was run into by Bstrd, so I didn't have much control of it.
 
Well my first oval experience wasn't all that bad. I found a drafting partner and we gave each other bump drafts throughout the whole race.

oh and about thew guys mentioning ABS.....there is no point to running without it if you use the sixaxis or similar remote. You do not have the modulation to accurately distribute your braking forces.
 
Second and third oval experience have made me lose all desire to ever race daytona oval again. What a bunch of complete idiots... I'm done with this track.
