So, I know by the schedule there is a 600PP event coming up, but I'd really like to try my Tuned Vette against some GTP members. Any takers? Tell me where and when (700 PP)

No takers eh? Oh well, I guess the thought of a good Vette scares people :sly: But seriously, perhaps another time eh? I'll be around Suzuka if anyone's interested.

I would love to race but first I have to work in our Garden :) , tonight I'm on arround 20.00 +1 GMT. I'll drive a white Alfa 147 :sly: or a Ford GT Tuned

That's roughly 05:00 for me. ;) I did just have some impressive races anyway though. Not clean (I was clean, they weren't), but impressive. I put up with a punter for a whole lap at Suzuka, got punted a number of times, Corvette brakes saved me, and I then managed 3rd, starting from 14th :sly: Same with a couple other races, starting 12th-14th and finishing with 2 4ths and a 5th. Pretty good IMO.

Edit: That's the 147 tune I gave you is it? Cool, it's actually being put to use :D

Just had a great race against a "MystrP" in an Elise, until the host disconnected 2 and a half laps in. Any relation, Ron?

I won't be online for the whole week from tommorow, i'm going to Derbyshire with the School, I will miss you guys (Especially GT5:P)

:P

Damn its an imposter! :scared: I haven't met him online as yet but it will be cool kicking his ass when I do just for copyright manipulation haha :sly:👍

I have wondered the same, MystrP is in the top 100 leaderboard for Suzuka 700PP in a Lotus Elise.

Edit: Ron, you beat me by seconds! Pretty typical!

I remember racing with you on suzuka last night and thought i was seeing things when an Alfa 147 popped up:lol: You finished in a very respectable position if I remember:tup:

@holden, you haven't got a good setup for the Alfa Brera by any chance have ya??:sly: It's a great looking car but never have many chances to use it online. Any help is much appreciated:cheers:

Alright people, I will be back following the schedule tomorrow from 18:30 UTC. Most likely i will be using my tuned viper.

I was just in a race with an armful of ramming idiots at Suzuka ... I saw Superwally getting deliberately pushed offtrack by the same dumb ass who had just done it to me! so I decided to teach him a lesson :grumpy: for the next lap solid I stayed behind him and bumped him off track at every high speed turn and then I'd sit idle at the track beside him until he got back on and let him go just to follow him and do it again .. I'm pig sick of these assholes and I'm not taking this crap anymore! If they want to ruin my game then I will mess there's up also, the difference being I am a good racer and more skillful at timed assaults! so if you want to ram me off like some bitch expect some of the same back 👍

Private rooms cant come soon enough! I passed the 1st place host in an earlier race .. just for him to quit the game  what a considerate guy he was also :yuck:

To all of that, agreed. Thanks for getting my back.👍

It seems to have been one of those nights. It got off to a great start, and I was racing with quite a few GTP-ers. Magburner, 2fast4stig, bluedot, Crooky, Sjaak all made an appearance *.

Special mention goes to GTP_Timppaq. He seems to be carrying on the Flying Finn tradition of Hakkinen and Raikkonen. He can fairly make his Clio go, and he was host too, so you knew he just wasn't going to quit on you for no reason. 👍

Also Superwally in his (very well driven) F40. I spent a few corners just driving behind, not looking to pass, just drooling at how gorgeous the F40 is...

But, latterly, I've just being getting battered into the gravel by idiots. 👎

* Apologies to anyone I missed.

That's the guy! I couldn't remember the name last night-I was using a Clio yesterday, he smoked me.

Daan, best part about the F40 is the sound in the cockpit. Nice driving out there.

I raced a few times with Sjaak as well, thanks for letting me get the win, I wasn't sure what was going on there. :scared:

I'll likely be out again in the F40 tonight.

I have organised a race with someone tonight. It is at Suzuka 700 PP, 23:30 GMT+10. I'm racing Greycap, the mad Finn :sly: I expect him to beat me because he's a good driver, anyone else wanting to join in would be great. Less punters the better.

Thanks for the mention. It was good racing against you guys & a real challenge trying to keep up. At least we had a GTP one, two, three. GTP_Timppaq is incredibly fast in that Clio. It was fun following Superwally's F40 too, watching it step out on the turns & being neatly reeled back in - skill!

Bluedot, we had a bunch of races together, too bad mostly I ended up in the dirt! Nice driving out there.👍

I asked Fyshokid if i could make a website for the schedule and he agreed, so here is a test version with the current race schedule.
http://dhost.info/gt5pmeeting/

It lists all the events in your local timezone and also states which event is taking place, and which is the next event.
The layout isn't much yet because this is just a test version and i have to add a whole bunch of other things too.

I'm not sure if that website is working for me DustDriver, it doesn't display my time zone.
There was a lot of crappy punters out there tonight. Not everyone, but enough to ruin all of my races.:grumpy:

 That looks good!
I hope it's okay for the moderators (I saw a list get removed by the mods (I think it was the white list))

Do you have javascript or cookies disabled in your browser?
That would be the problem, since javascript puts the timezone in a cookie, so that the php code can work with it.

Next thing i'll do is add a field where you can maunally pick your timezone.

cool thx, will try to catch some of you this evening on 700pp suzuka :)

Man, you guys are organised. It makes me (almost) want to put off buying the manual transmission conversion for my Mercury so I can get a PS3/GT5:P.

Almost. But not quite. :D

why why why....tonight I had 5 races of the 30 that where kind of nice.
I met a nice shap in a Bordeaux Ferrari called GTP_an4rew,he let me live in the long right turn on suzuka PP700 after the hairpin. I slipstreamed a overtook on the outside of the corner. He left me enough room. Really my greatest experience for this evening.

I why is it when you drive a little white Alfa 147 on PP700 Suzuka, that everybody wants to overtake you within the first 2 corners....Rammed, rammed, rammed...if Poly had implemented cardamage I would only have a chassis without bodywork.....:sly:

darnn....tonight i feel what Kovalainen felt yesterday! :ouch:

kind regards,
galgospeed

There’s just no going round this simple fact: in spite of all the rammers and host quitters ONLINE RACING IS JUST SO INCREDIBLE ADDICTIVE!
Saturday evening/Sunday morning I only stopped when I realised I already had 200.000 credits and had to go buy some cars to keep getting prize money for my races – and I had started out with just around 300!

Next weekend – no time to play on week days – I just hope to see more people from GTP at the Daytona Road Course. I’ve been to that favourite track of mine following the schedule on Thursday (the 25th is a bank holiday here in Portugal), Friday and Saturday (02:00 am UK time) but just never came across any of you guys: easy wins, in most cases, but not half the fun!

That's a shame fella. I guess it's a lack of patience and respect for the car that you're driving:tdown: Even though at suzuka it would probably only require a short straight to pass you, people will still want to get through at the earliest oppotunity:nervous:

I'll keep an eye out for ya next time I see you on track:) You could always try driving the Mini around london:lol:

Well thats a nice idea. Mini arround london! , and I guess then drive in first gear in the middle of the road  💡 :sly:

To be honest, I know an Alfa, Mini, Swift, Brera doesn't stand a chance in the 700PP class when you are up against good drivers. But I would really like to drive those small classes on Professional mode a lot more often. They are nice to handle and can make racing very competitiv. The cars are not that fast but need really decent driving to keep on the speed on a track like suzuka. Because of the smaller amount of power you really need to have skill to drive fast, thats what I like about it. The Ford GT i also like a lot is so sluggish it just pulls you through the corner just with the sheer amount of power it has. Mistakes are a bit more forgiven with them faster cars I think. Well maybe I'm totally wrong :dunce:

See you online!

Completely and utterly agree with you fella:cheers: The slower classes of cars are not represented at all:tdown: Hopefully, the race events update on thursday will include some. At the moment, driving the slower cars competitively online, requires you to jack up the power to untold amounts and play with racing tyres on a normal road car! It's ludicrous:yuck: These cars deserved to be driven with the normal power/weight/tyres so that the skills of the better drivers can shine through:)

Just an update on the website.
I've added a field for changing your timezone, so that it works even if you have cookies and javascript disabled.
I also solved a big bug with the local time getting bigger than 24hours.
Don't know if anyone noticed this.

edit: oh yea, the page is also optimized for the PS3 browser size when viewed at 1080P.

This race finished no more then 5 mins ago.

GTP 1 2 3. 👍👍👍
